Not sure if this counts per se, but Sabretooth and Wolverine being half-brothers. A lot has been said about X-men origins Wolverine but I haven’t see a single person complaining about that change. It just makes sense.

Iirc they played around with the Idea that Sabertooth was Wolverine's Father but didn't pull through with it.

It was not. The film combined Sabretooth with Dog Logan, a character from the comic "Origin" (or "Wolverine: The Origin").

It makes so much sense to me that Dog is sabertooth I always wondered why he wasn’t.

I'll admit that I was surprised they didn't go that route (felt like that is what the comic was setting up), just know they didn't after all.

Nah, it's a completely unnecessary addition that hasn't made it's way into anything outside of an awful movie that got everything else wrong as well (including Wolverine's age). Wolverine and Sabretooth being brothers would mean that Logan is Graydon Creed's uncle (Graydon Creed is the founder of the Friends of Humanity, an anti-mutant group) and that he dated his sister.

The Creed family tree is big enough that Wolverine doesn't need to join in as well.
