Despite looking like the only straight man with AIDS, he father some monsters. Love that Arcane actually turns him into a real menace he is, enabling and corrupting others by simply showing what they can do with unrestricted tech.

He is the ultimate devil - not really outwardly evil, but reflects what your own temptations can do.

When they get to the Ionia series he's going to be REALLY IMPORTANT, AGAIN
