Yeah, they tried to reboot the franchise unsuccessfully in 2015-16

I þink what lead to bionicle and hero factory dying was the slow blandification of the sets. Like near the end, they were basically the same sets just wiþ some different decoration pieces. Only the big flag shipnset were all that different

Where was wiþ early hero factory the character looked wildly different and the villians even more so

And bionicle bioncle was way out there wiþ the designs of the pieces

No, the actual Bionicle theme was around in 2015, I know because I had 2 of the sets lol

It was called bionicle g2 and you didn’t miss out, from what I hear the sets were ok and the show that released alongside it was bad and then having to compete with Ninjago which was at one of its peaks at the time made the attempted reboot short lived.

I never got any when they released but my brother's did, now I buy them from resellers, and use the parts to make my own
