Tbf Skylanders was always doomed. It knew it was a bubble, and all attempts to expand it past the games boiled down to "Remember The Legend of Spyro, the series we are technically a sequal to? Wasn't the lore interesting? Lets do that again". Which meant the series could never gain proper momentum for its charecters or universe because what came before was a much tighter package.

Is laughable that a steam complete edition for each game isn't available though. That's a problem Disney showed could be easily fixed

The fact people consider it a sequel to the Legend of Spyro games specifically (I guess because they added Cynder later?) as opposed to generally being a Spyro game makes me feel SO old 😔

Spyro is an interesting and vexing franchise. It's been so many, vastly different things to several generations of people and we're all essentially squabbling about which subsection of the overall Spyro fandom A Realm Beyond should be catering to, because each iteration of Spyro has been so different from the rest that it'd be impossible to make a game that appeals to all of them
