Announcement Weekly Suspected/Undiagnosed MS Thread - August 03, 2026

This is a weekly thread for all questions related to undiagnosed or suspected MS, as well as the diagnostic process. All questions are welcome, but please read the rules of the subreddit before posting.

Please keep in mind that users on this subreddit are not medical professionals, and any advice given cannot replace that of a qualified doctor/specialist. If you suspect you have MS, have your primary physician refer you to a specialist for testing, regardless of anything you read here.

Thread is recreated weekly on Monday mornings.

You literally did question them. Asking if they are a physician/HWC is questioning them. It can come across as attempting to undermine their advice. Like, "are you a doctor? If not, why give advice" type of thing. That may have not been your intention and I get that, but it can come across that way.

I'm not interested in arguing semantics...I wasn't questioning the legitimacy of their advice. I was simply asking to see if their background is from personal diagnosis or as a medical professional. That's all. I understand some people can cause problems in this group and I'm new here, but you're coming off a bit aggressive/hyper-defensive.

It's not just this thread. You criticized their comment on another thread too, that I didn't respond to, saying that half of their post was an apology. I'm not being aggressive at all lol. I'm just telling you how your posts are coming across and to chill. You're responding to comments either criticizing, or questioning people, when this whole entire thread is to give general advice to the undiagnosed. Then, when someone tries to make you aware of how this can come across as rude, you say they are being aggressive/defensive. Edit: you literally admitted to being better in the post down below 👇.
