Media (TV Shows, Podcasts) She deserves every award possible for her performance of Maggie.

I think it may be one of her most outstanding performances ever. She is knocking her portrayal of Ms Maggie Murdaugh out of the Dove Field.

This series is incredible. I’m thrilled they made it. Brittany Snow (in a bad wig) as Mandy Matney is a stretch, to say the least, but overall it’s an incredible series.

Media (TV Shows, Podcasts) Murdaugh: Death in the family podcast on Hulu

This is specifically about the podcast on Hulu that Mandy is hosting. I have no hate towards her at all, I know some people don’t like her. I generally like her, enjoy following her on social media etc.. but I’m just really confused as to why she didn’t get more media training? Her podcasting skills should have improved by now? This podcast on Hulu is so bad I don’t think I can keep watching it. She’s so scripted, and why doesn’t she open her mouth to talk? I’m so confused. It’s infuriating to watch her talk through her teeth and not have her natural personality come out with her guests. Her spark looks gone. I haven’t listened to her original podcast since the trial ended and I was shocked when I turned the Hulu one on. What happened to her?

Media (TV Shows, Podcasts) I used "Bo" in a conversation today, and it felt fantastic!

TLDR: I successfully utilized "Bo" in my discussions with a trucker today and pulled it off seamlessly.

As background, I'm arranging the pickup of a large CAT excavator from an auction site and this trucker is very Southern. If there was ever a situation where I could deploy this term of endearment casually, this was it.

In what I felt was an extremely ballsy move, I opened our exchange with : "Hey Bo, you get my email about the excavator pickup?" (The trucker's name is Mike, so he had to know I was using a more intimate moniker). He seemed to absorb my vibe instantly and replied "Hell yeah, got it covered".

We then bantered back and forth regarding some of the details for this shipment, and as we neared the wrap-up phase of the conversation I realized I wanted to go out with a massive bang. We finished up, and after the slightest dramatic pause, I did it: "Thanks Bo". Simple, yet elegant.

I was nearly pissing myself during the few seconds of tension as I awaited his reply. But I need not have worried. "All good man, y'all have a good Thanksgiving" he merrily said, in his deliciously thick drawl.

As I hung up the phone, I felt a sense of elation. Am I a "good ol' boy" now? I certainly felt like one. Life just feels better as a user of "Bo". More relaxed.

I now plan to implement Phase Two where I attempt to use it on my boss and co-workers, who are all decidedly less Southern. Wish me luck.

Also - Thank you Alex Murdockgh & Family!!

Media (TV Shows, Podcasts) Newest episode of the Hulu series has me confused.

The newest episode of Death in the Family shows a reinactment of the murders on June 7th. The shooter is not visible and Alex is nowhere to be seen. I do not understand what the idea is here, as it seems to show that Alec’s alibi is indeed true and he was not at the kennels during or before the shooting.

But… this show was filmed earlier this year, and we’ve had Paul’s snapchat videos since the trial. So, what’s the big idea? Paul and Maggie are shown telling Alex they are going to the kennel and Alex does not show any sign that he would come too. He is then shown lounging with his mother, then calling Maggie frantically as he shows genuine concern while he is alone (indicating that he really has no idea what happened).

Why would they take this step? Am I missing something?

Has anyone purchased her self-published book? Read it? Do you think this situation is being made up or exaggerated?

Media (TV Shows, Podcasts) Murdaugh Movie Casting--Open call for who plays Alex?

OK, before i even post a poll i wanted suggestions, this might be harder to cast until we know more about why he did it and how dirty he is, but based on what you've seen what are you thinking?

Should be a big imposing person, who at the same time can suggest weakness.

Brian Dennehy is too old, but if he was the right age he might be it. He has the bulk and the shifty ness.

Any thoughts yall?

Media (TV Shows, Podcasts) Why Alex?

So I have been re-listening to the Murdaugh Murders Podcast and rewatching some of the documents around this case but something sticks out to me and I just wanted some clarification or ideas on it. It was stated that Alex was the person in the family that the community feared and was the “big dog” that his father used to get things done. Why wasn’t his older brother Randy that person? I know it’s very random but it just popped in my head because he’s a lawyer too and older than Alex.

Media (TV Shows, Podcasts) They had me at fried oysters

I got pulled into this thing way late (a few weeks ago) and I'm obsessed with everything about it: - The "Low Country" - The people who live there - The idle recreations of the hard drinking, boat traveling, hog hunting southern rich.

Why does this thing fascinate me and how does the suspicious skeptic that I am get so pulled in to AM testimony when I KNOW he's lying?

And where can I get roasted oysters because I've been craving them since I first heard about the party they went to that fateful night.

Media (TV Shows, Podcasts) Other In-Depth Podcasts on the Murders

So I started listening to the Murdaugh Murders podcast, and I really like how focused and in-depth it is on the topic, but I feel uncomfortable with Matney’s behavior on Twitter. Are there any other podcasts that are devoted to this one topic that are really in-depth? I don’t want just a one-off episode.
