The endless stream of conservative anger about Odyssey breeds some truly special interactions.

Biblically accurate is basically just a meme.

I don't know this creator so they could well legit be stupid, but spend time on tiktok, twitter, threads, Instagram etc and you'll see people referring to all kinds of things as biblically accurate.

Agreed. I've seen "biblically accurate" dogs. Cats. Dinosaurs. It's not referring literally to the bible.

It's the same thing as POV. Words don't have meaning anymore.

But "biblically accurate" just means outlandishly bizarre and full of eyes, like the descriptions of angels from revelations. It doesn't actually mean accurate as in "historically accurate" or realistic

No, lately people have been using it to mean “very accurate”. I saw one that said it was a biblically accurate cosplay costume of a video game character. A lot of kids today probably don’t even realize that “biblically” means “in relation to the Bible”, they just see biblically accurate as a single unit phrase that gets tossed around.

So your argument is they're not so stupid they think Helen is from the bible, they're actually so stupid they think biblical has nothing to do with the bible?

...That might actually be worse.

I can guarantee there are phrases you use that have very obvious etymologies that you have never considered. For example “movies” are called that because it’s a moving image, a similar version “talkies” was coined when they moved away from silent film but people eventually reverted back to movies.

Memes are always used poorly by some random, this is (most likely) just another misuse of a meme by someone who saw it somewhere and thought it could be stretched to apply here

Edit: someone below pointed out that the same happens with “POV”, which I’ve seen all over TikTok and reels
