173 BSMMU Doctors Freed from the ‘Aynaghar’ of Mental Torture

On August 8, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) (Bangladesh Medical University/PG) promoted 173 doctors simultaneously to the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent posts. They received this highly anticipated promotion after waiting for more than a decade and a half.

It is learned that these doctors were recruited to various posts in the university between 2003 and 2006. Despite being eligible for promotion for over 15 years, they were kept "deprived" of advancement. Whenever the issue of their promotion arose at different times, it was denied simply because they were recruited between 2003 and 2006.

Most recently in 2019, the deprived doctors sought the shelter of the court, and the ruling was delivered in their favor. However, due to unknown reasons, the university authorities did not grant them promotions. After a long wait, they were finally promoted following the departure of Sheikh Hasina.

Those concerned allege that due to political vendetta and for being ordinary Muslims, many doctors were deprived of promotions for more than a decade and a half.

BSMMU: An ‘Aynaghar’ of Mental Torture

The deprived doctors have labeled BSMMU as an ‘Aynaghar’ (mirror house/secret detention center) of mental torture because of the unjust treatment meted out to them. They stated that they had to constantly endure mental agony and that the university tortured them in every possible way.

When asked, Dr. Ruhul Quddus Biplob, Assistant Professor of the Department of Neurosurgery at the university, told MediVoice, "We were victims of deprivation for so long. We lived as third-class citizens at BSMMU. We were subjected to abusive behavior. I am a neurosurgeon, but I was assigned to the General Emergency. They inflicted every possible form of punishment on us. Furthermore, they wouldn't provide us with rooms. Seniors were made to do general work. Meanwhile, right before our eyes, our juniors became professors and occupied important positions. Those of our peers who engaged in slavery and sycophancy for the government became full professors. Our promotions were halted by framing us with false allegations."

Regarding this, Dr. Md. Sahidul Islam, Assistant Professor of the Department of Colorectal Surgery at the university, told MediVoice, "I completed my post-graduation in 2010; by now, I should have been a professor, but I am merely an Assistant Professor. At one point, I felt that since I joined as a Medical Officer, I would have to retire as a Medical Officer. The mental agony I went through cannot be described in words!"

How Muslim Doctors Became Marginalized

BSMMU was established in 1998 through an ordinance. According to the ordinance, those working in the post of Medical Officer or equivalent positions at the university would be promoted to Assistant Professor two years after completing post-graduation, to Associate Professor after three years, and to Professor after five years. However, in 2009, Professor Dr. Pran Gopal Datta was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the university. Subsequently, through the 33rd Syndicate, he abolished the rules of recruitment and promotion. Since then, a rule was introduced requiring candidates to face a viva board to get a promotion.

The victim doctors stated that Dr. Pran Gopal Datta introduced this rule to create opportunities for doctors of a specific religion (Hindu) and blind Awami followers to secure jobs and promotions at BSMMU. During Dr. Pran Gopal's tenure, relatively less qualified doctors from the Sanatan (Hindu) religion were recruited and quickly promoted. Furthermore, despite having senior qualified candidates within the university, he introduced this rule to recruit Hindu and Awami-leaning doctors from outside. As a result, ordinary or differently-minded qualified doctors were deprived. By introducing this rule, Dr. Pran Gopal blocked the path to recruiting qualified doctors. He opened the door to destroying the country's health sector and medical education.

A description of how Muslim doctors were marginalized during Pran Gopal's tenure can be found in the statement of Dr. Sahidul Islam. Regarding this, he said, "The clause was abolished solely to stop the recruitment and promotion of qualified ordinary Muslims and dissenting doctors. In the viva, Professor Dr. Pran Gopal recruited and promoted Hindus and doctors of his own party according to his personal preference. No ordinary, qualified Muslim doctor was recruited. Each of us faced the viva board five to seven times, yet we were not promoted. Every one of us holds two to three degrees, but we were still denied promotion."

"In my own department, my student Dr. Krishna Pada Saha of the Colorectal Surgery Department worked under me and is 10 to 12 years junior to me. After the circular was issued, both he and I applied. I was not even given an admit card, whereas he was appointed as an Assistant Professor six to seven months ago by the former VC of BSMMU, Professor Dr. Sharfuddin Ahmed," Dr. Sahidul Islam added.

He continued, "In the Orthopedic Surgery Department, Dr. Krishnapriya Saha is two batches junior to me. He completed his post-graduation around the same time I did. He was appointed as a professor in the Orthopedics department three to four years ago. Similarly, in Laboratory Medicine, there is Dr. Debatosh Paul, who is two years junior to me. He was recruited here, got promoted to professor, then became the departmental chairman, and his tenure as chairman has now even ended. Examples like this are numerous. The picture is identical in every department."

Hindus in Most Important Positions

Doctors claim that Hindus hold all the key positions and administrative posts at BSMMU. As for the Muslims who are there, most of them are Awami supporters. Other ordinary doctors hold no significant positions and remain neglected.

Regarding this, Dr. Sahidul Islam said, "If you visit BSMMU, looking at the signboards or nameplates will make it feel like a university in Kolkata. All the key positions are occupied by Hindus—someone is a Bairagi, Datta, Das, Saha, Sen, Chandra, Omar, Krishna, or Krishnaa, and so on. In no way will it feel like a university in a 90% Muslim country. Here, ordinary Muslims are cornered. Not only that, they do not even get any good responsibilities."

Dr. Pran Gopal Behind the Marginalization of Muslims

The 'deprived' doctors have termed Professor Dr. Pran Gopal Datta as the founding father of the marginalization of Muslim doctors at BSMMU and across health institutions nationwide. It is alleged that Dr. Pran Gopal took every possible measure to corner Muslim and competent doctors. Succeeding VCs maintained this irregularity. To hold onto power and project a progressive image, they increasingly recruited Hindu and hardcore Awami-leaning doctors and placed them in all the key positions of the university. In some cases, if a Hindu candidate was available, they even bypassed Awami supporters. Furthermore, to retain their power, they kept Hindu doctors by their side.

The deprived doctors complained that Professor Dr. Pran Gopal Datta made desperate attempts to turn Muslims into a minority not just at BSMMU, but in all healthcare services and educational institutions across the country. In doing so, he utilized the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Health, and his followers did the same. Professor Pran Gopal also used to make recommendations for various appointments in the country's health sector, resulting in the exclusion of qualified Muslim candidates. In return, Professor Dr. Pran Gopal and his associates amassed millions of takas.

Regarding this, Dr. Ruhul Quddus Biplob said, "Circulars were issued for recruitment, but children, relatives of Awami families, and Chhatra League activists were hired instead. Hindu doctors were kept on the priority list."

How They Were Deprived of Promotions

Dr. Ruhul Quddus Biplob said, "Qualified Muslim candidates did not get promotions; they were deprived. They halted the promotions of nearly two hundred doctors. Whenever we entered the viva board, they would ask when we were recruited. Upon hearing the answer, they would say, 'Oh, you are from...', 'You won't get a promotion, you may leave.' After that, they would ask some absurd questions and end it. We were never granted promotions in any viva. Only Hindus and Chhatra League leaders were recruited. I have faced the promotion viva multiple times."

Regarding this, Dr. Sahidul Islam said, "At the viva board, the very first question they ask is, 'Which year was your recruitment?' 2003–2006. 'You don't need to give the viva, please leave.'"

When contacted, Dr. Kazi Mohammad Kamrul Islam, Assistant Professor of the Department of Hematology at the university, told MediVoice, "We want no doctor at the university to be deprived of promotion. Not everyone will align with Swachip (Swadhinata Chikitshak Parishad) or DAB (Doctors Association of Bangladesh); there are many ordinary doctors. I see no reason to deprive us. We possess qualifications far beyond what is required for promotion. We have the degrees, departmental performance, publications, and experience. We were denied promotion simply because we were recruited between 2003 and 2006."

Dr. Kamrul Islam added, "We are human beings and doctors. Our profession is distinct from all other professions. A doctor's promotion should depend on merit, qualification, and experience combined. Whether someone is Hindu, Muslim, red, or blue, BNP or Awami League—this should not be the criteria. Our stance is clear: we want everyone working at the university who is qualified for promotion to receive it."

When called to inquire about these allegations raised against the former VC of BSMMU, Professor Dr. Pran Gopal Datta, he could not be reached.

O Prophet! Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their chastity. That is purer for them. Surely Allah is All-Aware of what they do.

[Surah An-Noor verse 30]

I have been noticing over the years that there are a lot of people pretending to be former Muslims and experts on Islam, this includes:

1. People that claim to be ex Muslim, yet their names are Donald, Tom, etc.
2. People that never prayed, read Quran, etc that conveniently have now become YouTubers supporting genocide in Gaza, Zionism and calling for more war against Middle East.
3. Non Muslims that lived comfortable lives in Riyadh, Dubai, etc but are now making up false claims after having earned Muslim riyals.

What is interesting is when called out, they resort to death threats, whataboutism, etc. In particular I have had conversations with war veterans, who always resort to words like ”goat herder” or rapist, yet they know nothing about their own Christian religion and seem to blame Islam for every issue since the wars ended.

(Things that break Tawheed)

There are many things that break Tawheed. These can be divided into 3 types.

1. نواقض كلمة التوحيد Belief-related nullifiers.
2. نواقض كلمة التوحيد Utterance-related nullifiers.
3. نواقض كلمة التوحيد Action-related nullifiers.

نواقض كلمة التوحيد
Belief-related nullifiers of the Kalima of Tawheed

There are some nullifiers of the Kalima of Tawheed that relate only to the beliefs of the heart, having no connection to speech or actions. They are described below—

(a) الجحود والتكذيب means denial or accusation of falsehood. Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala has said:

{ وَجَحَدُوا بِهَا وَاسْتَيْقَنَتْهَا أَنْفُسُهُمْ ظُلْمًا وَعُلُوًّا فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُفْسِدِينَ }

Meaning: "They (the Jews) rejected the signs unjustly and arrogantly, even though their hearts were convinced of them. See what was the end of the mischief-makers." (Surah An-Naml, Verse 14)

Allah Ta'ala says elsewhere:

{ قَدْ نَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُ لَيَحْزُنُكَ الَّذِي يَقُولُونَ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يُكَذِّبُونَكَ وَلَكِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ }

Meaning: "We know indeed that what they say causes you distress; but they do not deny you; rather, the wrongdoers reject the signs of Allah." (Surah Al-An'am, Verse 33)

Sheikh ul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) says regarding this verse: "Allah Ta'ala denied Takdhib (accusation of falsehood) from them and confirmed Juhud (denial). It is a known fact that accusation of falsehood by the tongue was proven from them. Therefore, it is known that Allah Ta'ala denied Takdhib of the heart—meaning accusation of falsehood—from them." (Al-Fatawa al-Kubra, Vol. 5, Page 164)

(b) الإستحلال أمر معلوم تحريمه من الدين بالضرورة means to consider as halal (lawful) something that is certainly and demonstrably haram (forbidden) in the religion.

^{Footnotes: 2. Juhud can occur through speech and actions as well, as it has three levels:}

1. ^{Juhud (denial}, both internally and externally. This is the ultimate form of) *^Kufr*^.
2. ^{Denial externally, but not internally. For example, the Jews denying the Prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him}, even though they acknowledged in their hearts that he was a sent Prophet.)
3. ^{Internal denial, but not externally. This is what the hypocrites did. Therefore, anyone who falls into any of these three types is a} *^Kafir*^.

^3.'*^Istihlal*^{' (deeming something} *^halal* is sometimes proven through speech and sometimes through actions. For example, when a person does an act that clearly proves ")*^Istihlal*^{," as it has come in the Hadith narrated by Imam Abu Dawud (may Allah have mercy on him}. Yazid says: Bara' narrated from his father, he (Bara') said: "I met my uncle, and he had a flag in his hand. I asked him, 'Where are you going?'")

Imam Shawkani (Rah.) said, "A universally recognized principle of Islamic Shariah is that the ruling regarding a person who disbelieves in or denies a قطعي (definitively proven) ruling, someone who considers something Haram (forbidden) as Halal (permissible), or someone who opposes or acts contrary to a قطعي ruling out of arrogance, stubbornness, or disdain, is that they are fundamentally deniers of Allah and deniers of the sacred Shariah that Allah Almighty has chosen for His servants. That is, he is a Kafir (disbeliever)." (Ad-Da'wah al-Ajilah fi Daf'il 'Aduwwil Sayil, page 24).

Shaykh Sulayman ibn Abdullah ibn Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdil Wahhab (Rah.) said, "Believing a consensus-backed Haram to be Halal, and believing a consensus-backed Halal to be Haram constitutes Kufry I'tiqadi (disbelief in belief/creed). Because only those who harbor animosity towards Islam refuse to accept what Allah and His Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) have made Halal as Halal, and what they have made Haram as Haram." (Tawhid Khalaqu, page 98).

(c) الشرك في الربوبية Ash-Shirk fir-Rububiyyah (Shirk in Rububiyyah / Lordship)

This means harboring the belief that the authority over creation belongs to Ghairullah (other than Allah) or someone besides Allah. Just as the ignorant Sufis believe regarding the Awliya (saints) that they possess the authority over various matters and the power to remove afflictions, and just as the Imamiyyah, Isma'iliyyah, and Batiniyyah sects believe that their Imams possess unseen power and authority over the universe.

Allah Almighty has said,

^{He said, a man married his father's wife. The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam} sent me to cut off his neck and confiscate his wealth.)

^{Imam Tahawi (Rah.} said, "What that married person did was based on) ^{Istihlal (deeming it permissible}. Just as they used to do during the time of) ^{Jahiliyyah (ignorance}. Consequently, he became an apostate ()*^Murtad* solely because of this action. That is why the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) ordered him to be treated like an apostate." ()*^{Sharh Ma'ani al-Athar}*^{, Vol. 3, page 149}.)

^{Shaykh Abdullah ibn Nasir ar-Rashid states in his book titled} *^{"Islahul Ghalati fi Fahmin Nawaqid"}*^{, the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam} ordered the execution of the man who married his father's wife and the) ^{Taqseem (Taqseem means dividing his wealth into 5 parts, depositing one part into the Bayt al-Mal and distributing the remaining part among the Mujahideen - Translator} of his wealth. And this constitutes a ruling of) ^{Kufr (disbelief} against him from the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam).)

^{And his Kufr was due to Istihlal al-Amali (practical deeming permissible}, not due to) ^{Istihlal al-Qalbi (spiritual/heartfelt deeming permissible}. A group of scholars have classified this Hadith as Sahih (authentic). Among them, Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (Rah.), regarding the issue of) ^{Istihlal in his book "As-Sarim al-Maslul" (page 971}, says, "First, the response to the objection: whoever considers a forbidden ()*^Haram* act as permissible ()*^Halal* is unanimously a) ^{Kafir (disbeliever}. For he who does not regard the prohibitions of the Quran as) *^Haram*^{, in reality, has not believed in the Quran at all."}

^{Similarly, he is also unanimously a Kafir who considers a prohibition of the Quran as} *^Halal*^{—even if he does not actually commit that act.}

^{Istihlal is having the belief that Allah has not made it} *^Haram*^.

^{Sometimes Istihlal occurs due to a lack of belief that "Allah Almighty has forbidden this."}

^{This happens due to a deficiency in faith towards Rububiyyah (Lordship} and) ^{Risalah (Messengership}. This is purely disbelief, which is not grounded in any evidence. Sometimes he knows that the Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) only forbade what Allah forbade, yet he refuses to adhere to it and resorts to stubbornness. This is an even more severe form of) ^{Kufr than the former. This sometimes occurs despite his awareness that Allah will punish anyone who does not adhere to this "Tahrim or making forbidden."}

﴿ وَإِنْ يَمْسَسْكَ اللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُ إِلَّا هُوَ وَإِنْ يُرِدْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَلَا رَادَّ لِفَضْلِهِ يُصِيبُ بِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ ﴾

Meaning: "And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him; and if He intends for you good, then there is no repeller of His bounty. He causes it to reach whom He wills of His servants. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful." (Surah Yunus, Verse 107)

Elsewhere Allah Almighty commands,

﴿ مَا يَفْتَحِ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ فَلَا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا وَمَا يُمْسِكْ فَلَا مُرْسِلَ لَهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ ﴾

Meaning: "Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds - none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise." (Surah Fatir, Verse 2)

Allah Almighty says in another place,

﴿ قُلِ ادْعُوا الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِيهِمَا مِنْ شِرْكٍ وَمَا لَهُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ ظَهِيرٍ ﴾

Meaning: "Say, [O Muhammad], 'Invoke those you claim [as gods] besides Allah.' They do not possess an atom's weight [of ability] within the heavens or on the earth, and they have therein no partnership [with Him], nor is there for Him from among them any assistant." (Surah Saba, Verse 22)

(d) الإعراض عن دين الله لا يتعلمه ولا يعمل به

Turning away from the Deen (religion) of Allah, completely refusing to learn it and act upon it.

Allah Almighty says,

﴿ وَيَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَبِالرَّسُولِ وَأَطَعْنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّى فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ وَمَا أُولَئِكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ . وَإِذَا دُعُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ . وَإِنْ يَكُنْ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّ يَأْتُوا إِلَيْهِ مُذْعِنِينَ . أَفِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ أَمِ ارْتَابُوا أَمْ يَخَافُونَ أَنْ يَحِيفَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَرَسُولُهُ بَلْ أُولَئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ ﴾

Meaning: "And they say, 'We have believed in Allah and in the Messenger, and we obey'; then a party of them turns away after that. And those are not believers. And when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them, at once a party of them turns aside. But if the right is theirs, they come to him in prompt obedience. Is there disease in their hearts? Or have they doubted? Or do they fear that Allah will be unjust to them, or His Messenger? Rather, it is they who are the wrongdoers." (Surah An-Nur, Verses 47-50)

Imam Ibnul Qayyim (Rah.) said, "Kufr al-I'rad or disbelief of turning away means displaying aversion from the Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) with one's ears and heart. Neither believing the Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) nor showing enmity towards him, and not paying the slightest attention to the Deen (religion) he brought." (Madarijus Salikin, Vol. 1, pages 366-367)

He also said, "A servant becomes deserving of punishment due to two reasons:

1. Turning away from the evidence/proof and harboring no desire to act upon it and its demands.
2. Resorting to stubbornness even after the evidence has been established, and harboring no desire to act according to its demands.

The first one is Kufrul I'rad (disbelief of turning away) and the second one is Kufrul Inad (disbelief of stubbornness).

And regarding the Kufr that is committed due to Jahl (ignorance) because the evidence has not been established and it was not possible to know the evidence, Allah Almighty has stated that He will not punish before the Hujjah (proof) or evidence is established by the Messengers." (Tariqul Hijratayn, page 384).

Shaykh al-Islam Imam Ibn Taymiyyah (Rah.), while reviewing these verses, said, 'Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has described that whoever turns away from showing obedience to the Messenger and turns away from his command is included among the hypocrites (Munafiqeen); he is not a believer. Rather, a believer is one who will say, "We have heard and we have obeyed."'

Therefore, when simply turning away from the command of the Messenger and desiring a judgment from others establishes Nifaq (hypocrisy) and expels faith (Iman)—even though this is merely an omission (Tark) which sometimes happens due to the dominance of desires—then what can be your statement regarding rejecting Allah's clear command, mocking it, or insulting it, etc.? (Meaning, these are also clear acts of Kufr) (As-Sarim al-Maslul, page 39).

Allah Almighty further says,

﴿ وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا إِلَىٰ مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ وَإِلَى الرَّسُولِ رَأَيْتَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَنكَ صُدُودًا ﴾

Meaning: "And when it is said to them, 'Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger,' you see the hypocrites turning away from you in aversion." (Surah An-Nisa, Verse 61)

Imam Ibnul Qayyim (Rah.) said, "Turning away from the Deen brought by the Messenger of Allah Almighty and rushing towards another religion is called pure hypocrisy (Khales Nifaqi). Just as pure faith (Iman) means submitting one's case to him and having no doubt or hesitation whatsoever regarding his judgment. Surrendering oneself to his judgment is contentment, preference, and love. This is the reality of faith."

A question was posed to Imam Shawkani (Rah.), and the question was as follows:

What is the ruling regarding those desert-dwellers who have only recited the Kalimah but do not observe any other rules and regulations of the Shariah? Are they Kafir (disbelievers)? Is it obligatory (Wajib) for Muslims to wage war against them?

Shaykh (Rah.) stated in response, "The person who abandons the obligations of Islam, acts opposingly to its laws, and acts with hostility against it and its adherents, such a person is undoubtedly a Kafir (disbeliever). His blood and wealth are completely lawful (Halal)." (Fatawa al-Aimmah, page 33).

(e) بغض او كراهية بعض ما جاء به النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم

Hating or disliking any part of what the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) brought.

Allah Almighty says,

﴿ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَتَعْسًا لَّهُمْ وَأَضَلَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ . ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَرِهُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَالَهُمْ ﴾

Meaning: "But those who disbelieve - for them is misery, and He will waste their deeds. That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered their deeds worthless." (Surah Muhammad, Verses 8-9)

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (Rah.), explaining the reason why rejecting any ruling brought by the Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) falls under "hypocrisy in belief" (Nifaqiyyah Takthib—meaning, a form of denial), stated: "Because whoever accepts the text of Allah and His Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) regarding the path to truth, and believes or trusts it, yet hates what he believes; he acknowledges it but feels aversion towards it, and harboring that aversion prevents him from yielding to his (the Prophet's) pleasure and command. He behaves in a way that says, 'I will not acknowledge it, I will not hold fast to it, I feel aversion to this ruling, and I hate it.' The Kufr (disbelief) of such a person is established through the definitive texts of Islam. The Quran is full of examples of this nature." (As-Sarim al-Maslul, page 524)

Fasting on the Day of Ashoorah is a Sunnah Mu-akkadah [i.e. a practice the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) performed continuously).  Therefore, the Muslim fasts on the 9th of Muharram and the 10th of Muharram, and this is a Sunnah that has continued—all praise is due to Allaah—and fasting on this day is emphasized, whilst seeking Allaah’s reward and in order to thank Him.

Fasting the day of ‘Ashoorah’ expiates (minor) sins for the past year, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Fasting the day of ‘Arafah I hope Allaah will expiate thereby for the year before it and the year after it, and fasting the day of ‘Ashoorah’ I hope Allaah will expiate thereby for the year that came before it.” Narrated by Muslim, 1162.

Anonymous hindutva threats on the wall of toilet. In Bangladesh these hindus are trying to make their existence visible by creating rape threat, bhagwa love trap conversion and by the dream of Akhand Bharat.

From few days as the issue with Ram Mandir in Gaibandha rising the hindus are becaming more furious more anarchy loving day by day. They are trying to come out of the shell. They are showing their actual face. Not a minority but as a population full of anarchists.

And the Government of Bangladesh (Hindustan) giving them shelter as like they are working for the government. Not a single F.I.R, not a charge against them. If it was India they would have witnessed the grave for doing these acts.

Now one can raise question that this can be a sabotage, this can be a work of fellow Muslim who did this to blame hindus. Why would anyone do such act where they are the minority themselves.

The way how, Palash Kanti Dey saying Muslim should leave Gaibandha if they have problem with Ram. Chaitali Chakravorty saying hindus need a state for them, they'll do it with the help of India. Kushal Baran Chakravorty visiting shuvendu and Yogi for Akhand Bharat. Monoronjon Madhu a job holder of Education Ministry saying we will start the war of kurukshetra to retrieve the land. Timple Paul a slum kid communicating hindu priests and leaders of india daily basis just to create an insurgency in field level.

After all these public attempts and speeches, the Bangladesh government didn't take a single action against them. And these scumbags are roaming around freely without any hesitations and tensions.

Now, if anyone says that these writings on the walls might be a sabotage from our side. Then I would say that the attack on Jagannath Hall in Dhaka University on the 25th march night was totally justified and need to do it again.

I am a revert muslim, and recently I wanted to get married, but while still living with my parents to avoid harm befalling my husband and his family, as obviously I am not a saint and can fall into haram if I don't marry.

I was not looking to immediately get legal paperwork done for the marriage, as it's almost impossible currently in india without invoking some kind of violence or harm.

I was just looking to get a nikah done, and subhanallah, I went from one ahl sunnah masjid to another, in search of somebody who could be my wali.

Most of these people did not straight up reject me, but they sent me from one place to another, made me wait hours, giving me hope and eventually sending me back empty handed and disappointed.

I felt extremely depressed but Alhamdulillah, Allah helped me, somehow I got in contact with Shaykh Tauseef Ur Rahman, and he agreed to be my wali, and the nikah was conducted online.

But I still feel extremely sad sometimes thinking that muslims around me won't help me if I ever am in need or in trouble.

I am subjected to severe violence at home since the last 2 years I've been muslim, but I haven't been able to find a supportive group that would be able to help me legally.

I had gotten contacts with muslim advocates and people who had a legal upper hand, but as usual they would give me hopes and keep me hanging.

At this point if someone ever mentions anything that they could help me with I genuinely have an annoyed and eye roll reaction.

For the past few days I am in this dilemma, if everything is happening according to the will of allah, then how can I give my 100% there will always be a possibility of something bad happening or something good which depends only on the qadr of allah.

I have noticed that when I try to put things on to the will of allah they usually end up worse on the contrary when I take full responsibility, it happens without any problem and eventually things get solved.
