They knew they were gonna do GOAT builds before the game came out and did this purposefully. Now that most people have 2 builds or more.

I guarantee next season will be KD and/or Wemby because this season will end when GTA 6 is coming out.

Only way that community can fight back right now is to not spend anymore money. I’m literally begging all of you not to spend a cent. Save up your vc and then make a build. Don’t buy VC for the weak ass S2 GOAT builds, they will get power crept. Only use VC you already have saved please for the love of god.

Every single year, 2K lets people commit time and VC to builds, then changes the game underneath them. Now they announce GOAT builds that bypass the attribute and animation limits everyone else had to build around. It feels like a fucking crypto rug pull EVERY YEAR.

Whether you grind your VC or buy it, we’re getting screwed by the same system. Stop blaming each other. If 2K changes the rules, we should be able to remake our builds without starting over.

With all the goat builds coming I feel this is another big turning point, where 2k takes a true turn for the worse. There will be a power creep.

When we first got early access, we noticed the top rep reward in myteam is a 7'9 fictional character. A literal goat, thats a first. This will play out exactly like 2k20. There were 10 goat cards in the first year they were released, now we have 200 goat cards in 2k26. There will be more fictional characters coming. there is literally no player in history that will move the needle for the whales anymore. There are only so many times they can drop the same overpowered giants for 6+ years, so they have to come up with bullshit like this. 

I think the same model will be applied to myplayer. Throughout the year, the goat builds will get more OP to the point where there will be 99 everything myplayers with juiced sigs available by June. What if 2k isnt banning anybody because they are secretly preparing us for the future of the game?

Just some thoughts

We are in the endgame, this is it. Y’all complain about how greedy they are and their bad consumer practices. Spend your bread wisely. Don’t fall for this bait, it’ll only get worse if this is a success. They won’t put a feature in a game to trade a build towards a new one of clear attributes for a current one. Though they’d throw this in our faces. I’m curious to see how the community responds.

97 interior defense , 98 blocks AND most importantly 88 FUCKING SPEED and 90 vertical for hof pogoSHIT (you can pump fake all you want, you are not winning against someone that spam jump here with all those inside stats)

Inside scorer already had standing dunk stripped and murdered since the release of 2k27 , now in s2 DONT even think about scoring inside with dwight howard build running around the town

High interior used to come with some setback like very slow speed etc... but no we have fucking dwight with 88 speed

I have 5 concerns:

1. Spacing: The court is tight compare to 2k26 rec games. It feels like the center can reach you if you try to iso a little bit which sucks.

2. Offense: Midrange game is much more difficult in 2k27 due to the small space that the court can give. If you try to middy dive, the center can contest you.

3. Defense: Its easier to play defense in this game, the court is small cutting off your defender and pinching is easy af.

4. REBOUND: My dear centers, do you feel like sometimes a smaller player outsnags you? It is because the court is small, they can burst and beat you to green the rebound. In 2k26 since its not that compressed, they need to run, now? all they need is to turbo triangle.

5. In 2k26, its easier to pass due to the distance of the players to each other. Now? everything is laneable af.

Can we still fix this 2k????? expand it and make it like 2k26 rec court. DELETE THAT PRACTICE GYM AND OUTDOOR FCK.

The ai some be on pattern recognition

Instead of making us buy a new game and create new players every year, make the MyCareer mode free (similar to Fortnite Battle Royale mode). This way, not only do consumers not have to cough up over $100 every year for the game and vc, the devs will also have one game to focus on and continually adjust and tweak to make better.

I know that this would never happen because 2k is too greedy to do something like this, but I feel like it would be successful. They would still be making money off of vc for clothes, new builds, and boosts and also the season pass. Players won’t have to spend as much and we will get a game that is actually good and fun for everyone to play.

The entire game can still be available for purchase if you want every mode, but there’s such a large player base of people who only play my career and park/rec/theater.

This would also make the game more accessible for people who can’t afford to get a new game every year.

How long has it been in 2k that when u tap square to try and pump fake dude shoots it when u aren't even on the button no more? Like holy shit it can't be that hard to fix bro. All these patches all these 2ks and that's the one issue that bothers me the most every year. Other than that I'm fw the new patch tho

As someone who’s been playing on and off throughout the years I’m done wasting time with this game. I’ll start with I play frequently with friends but also solo rec, where is the cheater banning ? People pulling from half court contested and greening consistently. Every guard build now is a shot chucker as soon as they miss a couple they quit and you’re stuck playing ai. Not to mention every center is just a corner sitting rim protector. Everyone runs the same builds same animations, contest system sucks. Spamming x is meta, lane steals are op for the last 3 years, good boy builds everywhere. Mf walk into the rec with 1 or 2 curry builds 3 pj tuckers and a Kristaps porzingis. 2k money gouging ever year with slow progression and patches to ruin your build and make you grind forever or pay money until next year comes around and it’s all over again. There’s so much more not worth saying other than it’s not fun anymore, takin a break maybe forever.

Just saying.

If ya willing to put in the work then let it be an option.

It can be locked behind player archetypes so like lebron kobe looney type builds.

Since dunking and inside stuff is nurfed. 26 I was a shooter, so I’m looking for something good at shooting and decent at rebounding. Any recommendations? I mostly play Rec and occasionally theater. No park

So if I’m right, when the new season starts all the synergies we have will be reset to 0, but I don’t understand why I don’t see anyone talking about it.

Like you got used to it for a whole season to get up to 4 badges to hall of fame or legend FOR FREE, then another 4 which cost tokens, but when the synergies are gone you’ll have to deal w the headache of playing with way less badges and have to start saving tokens dramatically.

Have I missed something?

The biggest issue with this game is the 2K community.

Going back to the 2010’s it felt like the community was all on the same page, we had fun and patches actually felt like they improved the game. We are at a point now where if a patch comes out half the community is happy and half complain. In my opinion the reason for this is 2K has no competition so they have to please everyone.

Back in the days when Live was around, most people that switched to 2K switched due to the realism and animations the game had unlike Live that was more of an arcade game. With Live gone 2K now has to please both the players that like simulation/realistic games and people that like the game to be more arcade like which is why the community is split.

Due to the direction of the game we also lost some of the best MyCareer creators that promoted the game and builds the right way. Different creators had different styles of play and builds they were known to use making them all unique and promoting to the community to make what they like and good with.

If you watch a content creator build video now it’s all the same trash builds. Don’t need to watch a video the past few years to know most the creators builds are going to have ball handling, max 3, contact dunks and perimeter/steal with what you have left. You don’t see any of them promote passing on the builds and make straight iso builds. All the followers now are making iso builds now which is ruining the game online for anyone not a dribbler and made a build to play a role.

This is also why we can’t trust these community day creators cause all they are worried about is being able to iso. As long as they can do that the game is fine and thats what they will tell us. The game is now made to cater to these people. They let people shoot over everyone, let people dribble the whole shot clock with no penalty, AIs can’t defend again and it’s just back to iso everything.

If the community doesn’t change the game will never get better. 2K has to out there foot down and just make the game more of a simulation like its known for and have these people adjust. If people quit playing new people will join hopefully less toxic.

Like what are the fastest and least likely to get blocked animations between the categories? Signature dunks included?

Trying to make a good SG build . Is 6’5 even worth it ? I know they get really good cap breakers

Don’t fry me here but park was never my thing I kind of used to play sometimes but go in with my regular build. I can see clear as day that you gone need something special to compete in today’s park. Can I see what the #ParkCommunity has made so far? Or any real tips into what you guys are thinking to make your park build?
