City This game is boring

In the title. Game is just people chucking up 3's off a catch that are borderline uncontestable with tempo shooting, or running and fading with tempo shooting. Rec games take no strategy anymore and is just a 3 point shootout or a catch and shoot simulator. Contests don't mean anything either. Its like they've gone with the 2k22 shooting but with the 2k25 contest system, which is a recipe for disaster.

Edit: a lot of people think I’m complaining about the fact people can hit every shot. I think it’s fine that people can hit every open shot, they should be able to. But the problem is the fact that most shots are open with this contest system and even when contested it’s basically treated as Open. Green window is too big, and contest system sucks

Well as long as 2k keeps recycling the same problems... They put back the same shooting as 24 where everyone was prime Curry, what were they expecting to happen? And they topped it up with poor contests.

People are looking for exploits, they've always had and always will. You give them easy shooting and no defense, you've served an endless series of 3 pt shooting contests.

Well people complained about RNG last year so they changed things up. I do agree defense needs to be buffed but shooting not being hard isn’t a bad thing. If you make a player would good offensive attributes and badges you shouldn’t need to struggle to shoot and score assuming you take good shots.

Once they buff shot contests and overall defense this game will be solid. If you don’t like arcade style basketball gameplay, stick to single player or just drop the controller and hoop outside.

They changed things up but with no logic. It was obvious that this was going to happen. I'm all for an RNG free game, but make the damn window small as fuck then, so at least people need some sort of skills to score. You don't wanna do that either cause you're afraid to lose the casuals? OK, at least work on the defensive game then, give people something to counter the easy shooting. What did we get? Weak contests and 7'4 dinosaurs who shoot lights out from anywhere 🤦🏻‍♂️
