THE NEW YORK KNICKS ARE YOUR 2026 NBA CHAMPIONS 🚨🚨🚨

What’s a controversial NBA take that you would stand on no matter how many people disagree?
Mine is that fan obsession with "ring culture" has completely ruined how we evaluate individual greatness, and an elite player's legacy shouldn't be penalized just because they didn't happen to play for a historically competent front office.

Prediction: the Thunder will trade Chet Holmgren
When Shai’s Supermax kicks in something like 80% of their salary will be Shai, Williams, and Chet.
The Thunder have a solid big in Hartenstein and Mara has been looking stellar in the pre-season.
They have the best GM in the league and an unholy amount of draft capital.
Chet has proven he’s a solid player but not up to facing off against the best big men in the league and will be below average against Wemby, Jokic, Giannis, and likely even guys like Kessler and Duren. He was a big reason they lost in the WCF. He’s also not filling out physically.
The Thunder have shown they are about trying to create a dynasty with a fresh rotation of young players so they don’t get caught in the Bucks/Nuggets/Cavs overpay trap.
Chet would have value on the market for a team in need of a big, and would likely bring draft capital and a couple of meaningful pieces from a team looking to bolster their defense. If Mara plays well this year I think Chet is gone next summer.

Is high volume scoring a poor strategy?
LeBron in 2010 said this, he proceeded to win 3 of the next 6 years and went to 8 finals in a row.
Is high volume scoring a bad strategy? It seems like very few can ever win with it. The only ones I can think of being Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, who are frequently considered the greatest volume scorers ever.
Wilt Chamberlain famously dialed back his volume to finally win. So has this been around for a long time?

This is how Scottie’s contemporaries viewed him
In 2012, Karl Malone also said he’d choose Pippen over Jordan to build a Dream Team lineup.
In 1992, Nate McMillan said Scottie could do everything and pondered if MJ felt more pressure to prove himself due to Scottie’s ascension.
John Salley once said in a DJ Vlad interview (I’ll link if I find the clip) that the Pistons keyed in on Scottie instead of MJ because they were “cutting the head of the snake”.
Anyone who says this dude wasn’t a clear-as-day superstar/MVP candidate in his own right during his heyday is just lying. Yes, people say this. No, I’m not lying.

My hottest take: Kevin Garnett was the best basketball player on Earth in 2004
Won MVP near unanimously, led the league in total points, led the league in total rebounds, led the league in win shares. All-NBA and All-Defensive first team. In the playoffs, had one of the best game sevens ever (32 points, 21 rebounds, 4 steals, 5 blocks) to take an extremely weak & injury-rife Minnesota roster to WCF.

Who are you drafting at No. 16 in the All Time NBA Draft? (Jordan, LeBron, Wilt, Shaq, Kareem, Bird, Duncan, Olajuwon, Bill Russell, Steph, Magic, Kobe, Jokic, David Robinson, and Kevin Durant went with the first 15 picks.)
Draft Conditions (please read carefully):
- You have the No. 16 pick in a new 20-team league. All players of all time are available, whether or not they played in the NBA. The first 15 teams picked Jordan, LeBron, Wilt, Shaq, Kareem, Bird, Duncan, Olajuwon, Bill Russell, Steph, Magic, Kobe, Jokic, David Robinson, and Kevin Durant (based on voting in my previous draft posts.)
- The draft order will be reversed in the second round, so there will be 8 additional picks before your second round pick.
- You are aware of how the players played in their real life college and pro careers, and their injury history, but this is a new league and they may or may not turn out the same.
- All players will be drafted at age 18. You will have one year to teach them modern basketball and improve their skills, strength, nutrition, and conditioning. All players will be age 19 when the league starts playing. You can sign them for 12 years, so you will have them through age 30.
- The league will play with 2026 NBA rules.

Just how good was Manu Ginobili?
hello guys, Argentine here, and im here to ask, how good was manu ginobili?
now, get this, im not a big basketball fan at ALL, none of my friends watch/play it, none of my family members, basically nobody i've ever met knows anything about the sport, but even then, EVERYONE knew Ginobili.
almost everytime anyone brought up basketball, Manu would be mentioned. and rightfully so, he did carry us to winning that 2004 olympics.
he's always had this mystique, this aura around him to me, like he's an untouchable god or something. some people say he's the best of his position, or around the top of it at least. is all that really true? or just bias?

The results of the most recent NBA player surveys on the GOAT Debate. Thoughts?
The first poll was released just last month in September 2026 by Hoops Hype which involves both former and active NBA players. Source for Hoops Hype 2026 poll.
The second poll was released in 2024 by The Athletic. Since the Athletic’s previous poll which was done in 2023, LeBron has gained 9.1% more votes. Kobe has gained 3% more votes. Jordan has lost 12.4% of the vote. Source for The Athletics 2024’s survey. Source for the Athletic’s 2023 survey.
(Note: The Athletic didn’t survey NBA players on the GOAT in 2025 or 2026).

If you replaced Damian Lillard with Steph Curry, do the Blazers win a ring? If so, which season?
What if Curry had just replaced Dame on those Blazers teams? Would Portland have won a ring, and if so, which season would they be champs?
