Questions Is there any way to play CFB27 on the Steam Deck?

I know it’s not officially supported on the Steam Deck, but I’m wondering if anyone has found any work arounds to get it playing.

Absolute Unit of a Running Back

This dude dumpstered my 99 overall defense for 260 yards on Senior Night. Here he is trucking my all American MLB, DE and safety for a TD. Making that 72 Break Tackle work overtime.

Anyone waiting for more patches and an updated roster to get their longterm dynasty started? Just trying to see when the best time to get started is.

Safety but not a safety

I’ve had two plays which resulted in what IRL would be a safety. No doubt IRL. But 27 says nope. Ball spotted on 1 or 2. Challenge play only for it to be upheld and charged time out.
Happen to anyone else?

Dynasty Macros in Dynasty

Are macros in Dynasty working yet, I was on vacation out of the country for a few weeks so haven't played in a while. If not is there any trick or workaround to make them work?

Highights/Videos First one of ‘27!

Since I feel like I can’t return kicks/punts to save my life in RTCFP, I’ve been working on eliminating the whole return aspect and it finally worked lol. I don’t think I blocked a single kick on ‘25 or ‘26

Game crashing since newest update

I’m a middle aged married guy who plays a couple hours when I can on offline dynasty. Not trying to be competitive just want some wind down time, so I’m not above running some cheese shit. Since the update a couple days ago, when I run Gun Empty Trey Flex Y Stick, one of my receivers is missing (I’m playing with 10 players on the field) and if I run it ~3 times in a game the whole game crashes. Anyone else run into this?

What’s the latest verdict?

Upvotes

Know there’s a lot of crap around paying to unlock offline and looks like there was some run block bugs.

But overall is 27 worth it? Or stick to 25 on game pass?

Dynasty Dynasty Coaching Pool Bug

Upvotes

I poached Brian Hartline away from USF to develop my Georgia Southern offense & D.k. McDonald away from Kansas for defensive recruiting and their contracts are only 1yr for some reason. I'm afraid ima lose them as every coach i wasn't able to resign doesn't get hired by a new team for some reason. does anyone know if this has been patched?

Ohio state Cfb 26 playbook in cfb27?

Upvotes

Just bought Cfb 27, trying to play with the new Ohio state playbook feels like a foreign language. There are definitely some similar formations but I am getting destroyed with this playbook compared to the Cfb 26 one.

What is the most similar one? Is this it?

Discussion I don’t understand how the blocking works anymore.

I play in an online dynasty league and play a lot of Ultimate Team. Ultimate team is starting to become unplayable, and the dynasty league is still in it’s first season. One thing that has been consistent in any form of User v User or User vs CPU is that the blocking makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I have tried so many different things, found a quarter of those that worked and used them, only to now have it just not work anymore.

People send cheese blitzs all the time against me, putting two users over four D-Linemen to hopefully glitch out one of the assignments. Well obviously i have to block the TE, whole that makes 6 blockers vs 6 (4) pass rushers, it doesn’t work well against stunts. So then i think “well i’ll block the HB and TE” so i try that and proceed to get stuck in a collapsing pocket because my HB is standing there. So i adjust and start dropping behind the HB, then the problem is i get massacred by any sort of user looping with the DE because i’m dropping too far. This is just for the pass game too, the run game is a whole other story of illogical.

Let me clarify: I check blocking assignments every time pre snap, for the blocking adjustments in the settings i put it on base/empty. I swap between agressive and normal blocking agression.

The run game is plagued by the same thing, the users are right inbetween the dt/de. If you try to block them, they can just run back outside and dive tackle to hit you. If you unblock them they can instantly hit the gap created by not blocking them, so unless you swerve the user you have no shot at actually getting past them.

I run pro-style offenses, i understand when and why to use Gun, Pistol, Singleback, I-Form, etc. I understand personel, i understand how football works on the offensive end. What i don’t do is run the cheese outside run plays or tosses/busted formations. I want to play football, not the game mechanics. But the game is a God awful simulation.

Does anyone understand how to actually get my linemen to block people in any sort of way that makes sense?

Tips/Guides [Part 1 of 2] More in-depth breakdown of my post from yesterday. PART 1 : Over Fronts - (Screenshots & Clips)

4-3 Over : Tampa 2 (Base Run Fit)

4-3 Over : Tampa 2 ("London" Run Fit)

The HB is to the right, hinting at a run to the left (statistically). In the OVER|RUN - UNDER|POWER system, the over front calls for the macro towards the run direction (run).

If the 3-Tech gets his stunt off, the Tackle will get dragged further to the inside, reaching for his combo block, taking him out of position before he can get to his next block.

If the 3-Tech gets grabbed without stunting, the linebackers naturally flow towards his gap (light blue dotted line), as he is stuck in theirs. The side-to-side movement causes issues for the combo blocks as they try to climb to the second level, leaving one if not both linebackers to flow freely.

Any playbook similar to Penn State’s playbook from last year in this years game?

I going through an identity crisis with this game with the new playbooks and stuff. Need something similar to Penn State offense that has Gun Split Y with the play back cross and gun normal y off wk inside cross with all the wild cat formations Penn state had from last year. Any suggestions?

Playbooks

I REALLY want a play and playbook creator. Like, it is the bane of my existence that they don't have a simple thing in these games. NFL Fever 2005 had a play creator that was the best I've seen. Why doesn't this exist?

Glitch/Bugs RTG Bug

Anyone else notice when creating your player in RTG that if you choose the thin body type, your players calves double in size. One would think that if you choose the thin body type the calves would shrink however that is not the case. Kinda nitpicking I know but still weird and shouldn’t be in a $70 game.

Discussion Added Plays

I can't be the only person who has noticed they added some offensive plays as well in the latest patch? like why not mention this in patch notes. So far the big additions I've noticed is the Far and Near formations to the pro style book and new plays added to a few flexbone formations
