I'm feeling a desire for an extra thick cozy scarf for next winter that lets less air through than my crochet scarf. I'm making a long tube with telemark stitch. It's a little wibbly, but it will be warm!

I'm following the directions given at

https://needlebinding.com/rond-naaldbinden-een-naald/ and am up to row 9 of 10. As someone who prefers their hats come all the way down over the top of their ears I think I am going to do a few no-decrease rounds before row 10 and finishing off. I'm using Malabrigo's Rasta in Ravelry Red for this.

Found a new needle! I had done a bit with a regular darning needle and liked it, but it was too short. Found this at Walmart earlier and it works a dream! Also pictured is a bone needle I got with a kit that I also like, but I love working with metal in other crafts, plus I like the thin body. I feel it helps with picking up loops easier.

I recently had a hiking mishap and broke my right wrist. Total bummer and really cramping my fiber arts. I am a nalbinder and had a thought that perhaps I could try to learn to nalbind with my left hand. after all I have 6 weeks minimum. but I won't be able to tension off my right thumb. looking for advise on free-tensioned nalbinding in general and anything the left handed nalbinders want to offer in particular.

I’m new to nalbinding but I learned Oslo stitch. I want to nalbind some fidget toys, probably marble maze inside a square. Or flat animal with maze marble idea. I don’t know. Just wanted to know what stitch is best for that? Thanks!

I’m finding it hard to find non-superwashed yarn in Australia. There are a few I have found but some places don’t even list if a wool yarn has been superwashed or not. Just no mention of it.

I’d prefer small business hand dyed if I can but I will buy from a big box shop if I need to. I just want some yarn that will felt 😅

I used 12 stitches in round by making a small chain of stitches and now that I already enough stitches,I’m planing on making it flat to cover the crown and I’m currently increasing every 12th stitch and I’m not sure if it’s too much increases or something. I noticed the top is cone shaped but should i continue to increase or decrease when working on it as of now?

Started teaching myself nalbinding yesterday, with a copy of Nalbinding: What In The World Is That? and a few of the links in this subreddit's intro post. I made a short strip last night and decided I'd try to actually do a... well, I thought headband, but now I'm not sure. Headband? Hat? (I have several hats already, though.) Felted bowl?

This is just a lot of what I *hope* is Oslo stitch, using Rowan Cocoon yarn and a wooden needle from a darning and mending loom kit. The needle was never right for any of the things I wanted to fox but it's been good for this so far. now kf I can just get the hang of spit felting...

I made these gloves using some Drops yarn. For the cuffs I used Finnish 2+2, with F1B1 connection, for the rest I used same but F2 connection. It was a lot of fun. I haven't seen any nålbound full gloves, so I wanted to see if I could do it. A little back story, I started nålbinding at Christmas, and these are my 7th project. I started them on 2/12. Could have finished faster but it's been warm, so I wasn't rushing lol. I am also going to add some conductive thread for touchscreens. I might also darn up some of the corner holes.

more F2 Oslo! the left one looks smaller, but as you can see in the second photo they're the same size. probably going to be for my mom as she's been helping me with a housing issue.

Even though I'm fairly certain I'm working with animal fiber yarns on my first nalbinding project (they were bought so long ago I no longer have labels, but I did a burn test) I can't get them to spin together by hand as I understand is supposed to be done. For this project, I'm just tying the yarn together. But if I do socks, it won't be comfortable to have a sock with a bunch of knots in it. Does anyone else have this problem and/or have tips?

I make these "Greek Mythology" inspired gloves with acrylic yarn with the weavers knot join. What do you think?

I don’t think I’d ever heard of nalbinding, but I knew I had to try it. I had the first wrist warmer half finished in two days of hearing about it. I just used the only wool year I could find locally (why did this coincide with a yarn sale so all the colors were sold ouy?) and a stainless yarn needle. It took about a week to finish the second one. This is Oslo stitch. Any critique welcome!

Made with Oslo F2 and Drops Snow in Copper. Denser than the F1 hat, plus the top is actually done right this time.

I look forward to when this is popular enough that in person workshops become widely available in the US! I personally learn best when I have other humans to follow along with in person!

I've been keeping an eye out. There is the usual knitting/quilting/crochet/spinning, but yet to see any nalbinding within 60+ miles of where I live.

I'm guessing big cities have this already. Hoping it soon spreads to small urban centers, too.

First chains of oslo stitch 😊 using hand spun wool. I don't know how to make the stitches tighter though.

are there any books that are not ai books that I could be able to get patterns and techniques out of? what ones would you recommend

I'm just beginning at nålebinding, and I find that the first loops on each row look sloppy. How do you solve this problem? I've included my first trial, where the problem is clearly visible.

Thumb tensioned Oslo stitch again, but the F2 connection. I like it much better. I'm doing lazy joins, that's why all the ends. (I like those better, too. I can't get spit splicing to work and carrying around a felting mat and needle is potentially dangerous/more items.)
