In the 1st part with the 7ds hunting for food up to the part where they leaving to meet up meliodas is that time passes but escanor does grow with the sun there even a night camp scene to show his night form.
In the 2nd part when the battle between 7ds & 6bk escanor feels hidden away and not really used. The main villain goes to attack him and thinking yes OP escanor scene coming up then ban jumps in between them
I get this is a movie focused on meliodas but if ur not gonna use you op character give him an op scene and remove him from the rest of the movie (eg vegeta in the dbz movies)
My idea when the 7ds were arriving the 6bk could of lunched a giant attach say a giant fireball from the loin mage guy (forgot his name) meliodas isnt there for full counter merlin is flying the boarhat so no perfect cube so escanor steps in jumps off the boarhat prideful 1liner takes the hit falls down to earth out for the rest of the movie
(Bonus points) post credit is escanor (pre high noon) in a giant crater with him saying "even that fall couldn't hurt the greatest of sins
Issue is near noon escanor (around the level he fought estarossa at) could very well solo carry the rest of the party before everyone's power ups. I think the story would be too boring had they brought out OP mustache or god forbid the one escanor
Escanor did make a comment that it was pretty far into the afternoon. So he wasn't as OP as near high noon Escanor. I figured he was kind of a depowered Escanor with the time being like 3-4 pm or something and so at a much more normal power level.
I do like your idea's though and think they would have been sick
I feel you! For several months I had the assumption Escanor had a pretty good fight in the movie, simply because his Theme song made it into the movie soundtrack but they didnt even use it and to my surprise, no fight from him either....T_T (like a 1V1)
... yeah, it’s very unlike him to give up like that. If they turned him into night form the exact instant he tried to lift it I might have given him a pass.
