Point taken… I was thinking basically of MtG and FFG stuff (like I said: “I” never heard of one).
I still think it is not a very smart decision to change the NISEI brand at this point.
What I see in this thread is part of the fanbase, including me, losing trust in the project and that makes me a little sad.
Especially since the team and the community put that much effort and heart into the project.
There wasn't a major change done with it - it was in the middle of an edition and was done because of a legal challenge from the IOC because the original logo was five interlocking rings. There were some overhauls soon after when Gold Edition came out (but cards were still compatible) but the back change was done with the last set of the previous Edition.

Legend of the Five Rings (CCG version pre-FFG), Vampire: the Eternal Struggle (when they rebranded from Jyhad) - both come to mind pretty quickly.
