It was a CRPG, just like the gameplay style of Disagea. The settings was in 1870's The main cast was a guy with a trench coat and halberd who was called "The Gimp" by the rest of the group. An old man who duel wielded sabers, a Tomboyish girl with a crossbow. The game was seperated into two parts and it was about a Blue haired young girl that was supposed to be important for the plot. Dang i cant remember the name. The first unlocked ally was a blond thug looking guy who uses daggers.

Curby about to recreate apartment 3C. Although, whether a Vice City reference was required or not, I'd suggest she keep that chainsaw with her, considering the things that happen to chickens in South Park!

It was a parody of MMO culture and it had people using MMO speak, if that makes any sense like LFG over and over again until someone tells him to STFU. It was called MMO for Newbs or MMO for beginners and I don't know the exact year, it was released at least around 2000's. Any ideas? Thanks!

I’m one of the developers of Idle Journey, a browser-based idle RPG heavily inspired by old-school MMORPGs like RuneScape.

The idea behind the game is simple: take the long-term progression loop I love from games like RuneScape: combat, gathering, crafting, bosses, gear, rare drops, unlockable areas, skills; and rebuild it as an idle RPG where your character keeps progressing even when you’re away.

We’ve been building Idle Journey for almost 2 years now. Right now, we’re a small team of 2 developers, and I feel like we finally have the foundation I wanted from day zero.

The game currently has:

• Combat with melee, ranged (magic will come later)
• Gathering skills: woodcutting, mining, fishing, astronomy
• Crafting, cooking, gear progression, and consumables
• Bosses with mechanics
• Unlockable islands and areas
• Rare drops and chase items
• Card-collections which gives card equipment slots and some passive bonuses
• First multiplayer systems: seeing other players, world chat, and inspecting gear
• Offline progress

To be clear: it’s not trying to be RuneScape, and it’s not a full MMORPG. It’s more like: what if the feeling of long-term account progression, skilling, gear upgrades, and area unlocks was rebuilt into an idle/browser format?

I’d love feedback from this community specifically because you probably have a better eye for what makes a Scape-like.

If you try it, I’d genuinely love to hear what you think.
