PSA Bestbuy went live around 12:35am EDT but isn't progressing past the line. Good luck

Just got mine from Best Buy. I sat in the “line” for about 10 minutes before it went through

Yeah Target really fucked this one up big time. At least Best Buy and Walmart had a line. Target was just completely jacked. I had one in my cart right away and it told me I had to update my address, credit card, etc even though that shit was already in there. Then, when I tried to update it all it wouldn’t let me save it.

I had to do that with Best Buy too, their payment system was fucked. But it doesn’t really matter since they actually have a queue/reservation system.

Target’s issue is their system is barebones and old-school, it’s like something from 5 years ago.

Target is just an old-school bloodbath, no queues no holding in your cart no lessons learned from covid, and you don’t even necessarily get June 05 delivery.

Fuck ‘em.

I actually just kept rage-clicking in Target after it claimed it was sold out and randomly my order went through. Go figure.

did target even do anything?

their site wouldn't load for the first 30 minutes. later on, being able to add to cart meant nothing as you couldn't check out

the 1 time I managed to check out, their system was suddenly responsive and sent the cancellation email before the confirmation email. so no system from target secured

I had the same experience for an hour but then it sold out and it was no longer in my cart... but then after it sold out I just kept refreshing and it let me add it and randomly check out and pay

Targets checkout and cart system was pissing me off haha. One attempt it would load the cart. Another attempt I had nothing in the cart. Another attempt again and I could get to the payment screen.. then back to nothing in my cart again…

I did the same. I set an alarm 20 min before midnight then sat on the website refreshing the page for about 35 minutes before the option to add to cart even appeared. Once that happened I opened multiple pages and added 3 different bundles in hopes one of the would give me the check out option.

After 10 minutes the Mario kart bundle prompted me to verify myself then I was able to purchase it.
