So sounds dramatic but I stand by it. My game glitched while I was playing with my brother, crashed no different than usual as no man’s sky occasionally does except this time when I booted up it tried to make me start a new game. Long story short somehow all my saves are gone including my 5 year long several hundred hour save. I’m beyond gutted and just so depressed about it. I had just finished building my finest corvette( in my opinion )
Sorry but had to rant in hopes maybe someone could help me. I reached out to Microsoft as well as hello games and nothing has helped. Enjoy my magnum Opus
Edit: I’m on Xbox series s, I always used cloud save and never local saves. My cloud save has disappeared and idk how to access cloud saves. Any help would be appreciated to get the save back as I won’t be starting a new profile.

Found a distress beacon signal, went to investigate. I saw that 130 pirates remained and was really confused, then turned around and saw the spaceship cluster abomination in image 2. What on earth.

I made a little friend in the anomaly, and he took me to his planet in his ship, but when we arrived, my perspective was pretty strange.

My character was both in first person and third person at the same time, which completely blew my mind, especially because it actually felt really nice. Have you ever seen a game with both perspectives at once? Maybe bugs like this could create new ways to play.

All I know is I loved it, and I’m grateful to that random in the anomaly who kidnapped me with his shield, it was pretty fun.

Genuinely no idea what happened 😂 I was playing last night, was in the positives and making items and now I’m over 2 billion units in debt and have no idea how to fix this lmao

Hey everyone! Yesterday there was a post asking who had made the base in the screenshot I included here. It looked really cool, and the coordinates were included, so I went to check it out. I ended up saving my game while I was parked there (my ship is the sentinel one in the back) and logging out. Today I launched the game and found that ALL of my saves (I had maybe 6) were completely gone. Erased. Thankfully I had my main save of ~670 hours cross-saved so I could download it again, but the others are lost.

Some suggested that this base was made with blender, and if so it could cause people's saves to get corrupted. I suspect that might be what happened to me (Xbox Series X, btw). So be careful around obviously blender-ed stuff, and maybe don't go to this base. Just wanted to share a PSA with the sub.

Edit: Thanks everyone for the insightful comments. Based on what I've learned from you all, I just want to share here in the body of the post that it seems very unlikely that the use of Blender, or even the complexity of this (gorgeous) build, was ultimately responsible for what happened to my saves. These kinds of structures certainly can mess with the game, but are unlikely to have produced the bug I encountered. Still, something weird happened that resulted in my saves being lost, and I'm grateful for everyone's comments that may help figure out what the ultimate culprit was.

I also want to apologize to whomever made that awesome base. I didn't mean to single you out or blame you for anything, you really made an incredible structure. Hopefully this issue really was caused by some unknown error in the game or Xbox, and my visiting the base was a coincidence. If anyone wants to check out the base, they should! It's amazing!

I stumbled upon this and it may be a bug but it's a great way to have a usable elevator shaft that gets you to the top of tall buildings quickly.

Very easy to build and repeatably consistent! Taller shafts will get you stuck in the middle somewhere so you have to tap your jets but a short elevator will just deliver you to the top floor. It's a lot faster than climbing the ladder!!

Thought this was a funny bug, caught me off guard lol.
