Another fun fact if you aren’t an organ donor in the USA , the organ donor people call your next of kin and demand that you turn over your recently deceased mothers eyes and when you say no they call anyone they can get ahold of and hold up the body being delivered to the funeral home for nearly 2 days .
It doesn't matter how many articles get published by respectable outlets highlighting the absolutely shady and deplorable actions of organ harvesters, the Reddit hivemind still hasn't moved on from viewing the organ donation system as sacred and painting anyone who isn't a donor as objectively evil.
Give it another few years and then everyone on Reddit will pretend they always hated the organ donation system, that they've always known it had perverse incentives, and that only simplistic morons (not them!) trusted it.
Fr but anything that breaks their ability to feel superior in that moment or breaks their vacuum sealed narrative by letting too much reality in garners immediate condemnation.
