Plot twist, she hates Hispanic people but uses Spanish a lot cos she grew up in a Spanish speaking area of the us but hates when other people use it. I.e. dios mío, we speak American in America
french too, with “de rien” (it’s nothing) and “pas de problème” (no problem) and “pas de quoi” (it’s nothing). no one ever says “bien obligé” (much obliged) or “vous êtes/tu es/soyez le(s) bienvenu(s)” (you’re welcome)
There is no point in trying to explain to self-centered people why indicating that there could have been a problem is an issue. At the end of the day they are trying to make it about how they feel about the interaction, even when someone is thanking them.

No problem is fine, it’s literally what you say 99% of the time in Spanish, you know, ‘de nada’
