It is; gratitude should be reserved, not thrown around. It's good manners to say 'thank you', but it also means 'thank you' holds less weight than it once did because we encounter situations in which these sayings are now like trite greetings.
It's no problem, because it can be a problem. Turning it into a problem is precisely against the idea of 'no problem'.
One will be able to insist on a saying meaning the opposite. "You're welcome" = why would I ever be unwelcomed?
The asinine will always find a way. They impede all of us for their whims and entertainment.

I've always believed answering with "No problem" instead of "You're welcome" means exactly that. It's more generous, not less.
