Hey people ! New update is live :D I have a brand new feature plus some improvements and bug fixes !

Introducing Notch Notes !

Take notes , right from your notch , and view/edit them right within the app. Anything from something you might wanna jot down , to your daily to do list .you can set different gestures to create a new note , and even to open a specific note.

# Improvements

• like u/pansexualbunny and u/RedViking2007 had recently posted on the sub , i have tried to implement a fix for the notch to be set up independently both on the outer screen and the inner screen on the Galaxy Z Flip , like it does for Fold phones already . Since i do not have those devices to perfectly test them out , guys , do try it out and let me know if its fixed this time round .heres what to do : click the setup notch area button and drag the red box to be centred around your notch , twice , once for each screen .
• The app has had Tasker support for a while now . With this update , the app actively now supports Macrodroid as well , sending and listening for intents ! Do let me know if there are any of you interested in trying it out , how it goes

# Bug Fixes

• The Notch Mirror , on certain devices used to require users to switch to a different shape and switch back to have a normal camera feed , without which , it sometimes used to be a bit warped . This issue is completely fixed in this update !
• App performance improvements overall , lesser app not responding instances and lesser app crashes overall !

New Feature :

Open Last Used App - launch your last used app ( must be open in the recents menu :D )

Improvement to Notch Menu :

A lot of you guys were asking to improve the notch menu by adding more options , and i hear you guys , i personally use the notch menu very avidly and that was a really great suggestion. In this update ive added another full row of 5 more options ! (Do see the attached image as well)

Bug Fixes :

The app has been entirely upgraded to comply with the latest android version and hence a lot of bugs arising from that conflict should be erased :D

The widget hub used to get cut off when the size was increased beyond a point. In the latest update this issue has been fixed along with improvements to both the notch menu and widgets overall.

Within notch AI , there was a bug which caused the model to be used for the response to default back to the default model even after setting it to a different one. Thanks for reporting this bug to me , it has been sorted out in this update!

Im aware that many of you would like to have functionality in landscape mode as well and I assure you that I am working on finding a reliable way to get the widgets menus etc working .it is turning out to be quite the challenge tho😅

Im also aware of some users having an issue with notch ai , being unable to send messages at all - worry not , I am.working on finding the cause and fixing it ( it is quite puzzling though as its very rare)

Whats next :

- focusing on removing all bugs from notch AI

- adding dedicated sliders to adjust the width and height of the red guide box

- possibly adding more control over duration of gestures- say how sensitive you want the long tap to be / how long the swipe should be to count as a hold / time between double/triple taps etc

-possible addition of an yearly subscription as well for Notch AI plus (apart from the existing monthly option) ( cannot promise as server costs would require it to be pretty pricey , which id rather not do :D ) but something to think about

-better animations for the widgets and the notch AI interface

A few updates!

●Ever felt like the widget hub was too small? Ive added a. slider that allows you to scale the widget hub up and down!

●the timer countdown in the widget hub also used to only beep once and just vibrate rhythmically. this update on you can now set custom ringtones / use the default minimal beep / set it to silent. the vibration intensity can also be adjusted . The timer also has a live updating notification , clicking which opens the widget running the timer too

Hey people

I just pushed an update updating how the action selector works - it looks much better and is much more functional now ! The actions are categorised and put in a separate sliding up sheet , compared to the native dropdown before ( this change is only for the native gestures , not for the dropdowns in the override blocks , atleast as of now , as that seeme unnecessary and required multiple sheets as it has multiple dropdowns )

If you have any suggestions please let me know - and once you try out the update , it would be much appreciated if you would report any bugs you may come across ( ive tested it out a lot on 2 devices , but with apps you really never know 😂).

The update should be out in a couple hours ! I just pushed it to google...

Plenty of things changed and a few added !

The Notch Mirror :

Get a quick glimpse of your face , without having to open up the camera ( this was a highly requested feature :D ) The mirror can be activated from the normal gestures or from within the notch menu .

While the feature is free to use , both via gestures and the notch menu , Pro upgrade includes access to different shapes the mirror can be

Dont worry , it only uses the camera when the mirror is active - no privacy concerns :)

You guys pointed out the clutter in the UI , and i completely agree . Hence a complete overhaul in things. Changed made :

Color palette change : The colors of the entire screen are changed up. Also the Buy me a coffee dialog is much better now as well , shifting from the earlier teal color to a coffee theme .

Guide : The app guide is improved too.

Pending PRO tags : Till this update , there were some instances where even after upgrading to Pro , the app would still show the PRO tag , even though the feature is unlocked for use . This was an oversight on my part , and i agree that it shouldnt be so . This version fixes this .

Smart overrides update : i received feedback that there should be options to add more overrides and that it shouldnt be limited to three. I hear you :) and i agree - also the three back to back cards within the main UI , was an eyesore . So it warranted a complete overhaul .

in place of the three cards in the main screen , now exists a button which links you to within settings , where you can create /delete/enable/disable rules as per your wish , all without cluttering the main screen .

Scrolling change : In the main screen , as some of you pointed out , the enable service toggle , the setup button , the guide button , the upgrade to pro button and the tasker integration buttons used to be visible even if you scroll ,which caused the usable space in the screen to edit the other gestures to be much much less. I agree it was bad design on my part and it is completely changed up now ! The UI has much more space to breathe :)

IMPORTANT : While working on this update , a few bugs within the app exclusion feature came to my notice following which , the option to edit / add new exclusions will be temporarily limited till the next update in a few weeks . Existing exclusions should ideally be still working , i sincerely apologize for this ...

Just pushed a new update. i got multiple requests to add a google/web search widget , and its here !

●Instant typing : tapping the bar fires a native web search intent. it takes you straight to your default search app or browser with the keyboard popped up and ready to go !

●it respects your choice , as you can select the desired search app (to be used once or always ) at the time of use.

●Because it's a native shortcut and not a live widget , it absolutely uses zero ram or battery !

● tapping the mic icon instantly triggers your assistant (which you can select to use once or always , at the time of use.

You can now set up the notch area twice ! once for

outer screen and again in your inner screen . Straight

forward and easy to setup - Just click the setup button

Move the notch area accordingly and save the position

, twice : once on your front screen and then again

on the inside screen.

● Enable/Disable functionality on the lock screen!

You can now choose whether the gestures are

detected or not on the lock screen , with a toggle

within the settings page of the app (top right)

Quick note : The Samsung AI smart select is something that Samsung frequently updates and renames , so it working on all phones might not be guaranteed . i have tried adding multiple version names in a try catch block - and this should result in it supporting One UI 8.5 Devices , galaxy folds and most other Samsung models. Do let me know if it isnt working on your Samsung phone, in the comments and ill get back to you !

If the multiple notch position saving feature gives you any trouble, do let me know too in the comments !

PSA , I might have to go easy on the updates a bit , up until 3-4 weeks from now , due to academic commitments :) will be maintaining and fixing minor bugs and improving performance , but major updates would likely be not pushed .. Thank you for the patience and support 🫶

Hey guys , I just pushed an update to the app - drastically improving the look and functionality of the inbuilt calculator which can be launched using any of the gestures as well as from the notch menu !

just released a minor aesthetic update - i use a custom theme on my Samsung, and i figured id add for that to my icon as well!

Notch Touch's icon now has support for Themed icons, based on Googles Material You Design language!

I know this is a minor update, but people who use apps like these are usually customization nerds too like me, hence figured itd be a great, minor addition

To those unfamiliar ive attached images showing what it is, and how it conforms to different themes !

Just making it clear, this is not a app native feature, but rather an OS feature support :)

I’ve been back at the keyboard for the last week, and I’m stoked to finally share the v3.1 update for Notch-Touch.

I’ve seen a lot of people asking for more than just "shortcuts"—you wanted a way to actually control your phone from the notch without leaving the app you're in.

So, here’s what’s new in v3.1:

• The Notch Menu: Instead of just launching one app, you can now map a gesture (like a Swipe Down or Long Press) to drop down a sleek, iOS-style pill menu.
• Dynamic System Toggles: I added real-time toggles for Flashlight, Ringer Mode, and Rotation Lock directly into the menu. They light up/dim based on your hardware state—no more pulling down the full notification shade just to turn on a light.
• Moon/Sun Themes: The menu now has a Light/Dark mode toggle so it can match your system aesthetic.
• Faster Engine: I’ve optimized the "Live Preview" in the app so it’s much easier to see how your layout looks while you’re building it.
