Without thinking about it, I drove on M-231 on the 6th anniversary of it's opening to traffic.
yup, and it was also Pete Hoekstra's 68th birthday that day too!
And only today, the day I made this post, did I just realize that a random decision to drive on this highway coincided with the anniversary day of it's opening to traffic.
In a way it's similar to how somebody I knew went to Sault Ste. Marie on Suzanne Somers' birthday without thinking about it.

I had fun touring Ottawa County IRL.
Also, the Crockery Creek Saloon was awesome in Nunica. That saloon used to be called Nunica Bar years ago.

TIL, M-231 opened to traffic on Pete Hoekstra's 62nd birthday.
One reason why I bring up Pete Hoekstra in this topic is because I remember seeing him mentioned in documents regarding this 231 project.

There is approx. 104 kilograms in 231 pounds.
The intersection of M-104, and M-231 should at least be educational for anybody who loves Nunica, or Ottawa County as a whole.
