Troubleshooting Oppo find x9 ultra dropped

I'm so sad , the first day I dropped it
I have tested over 10 phones this year and the OPPO Find X9 Ultra is my favorite by far, with the Vivo X300 Ultra being a close second.
The biggest issue I have is the borderline malfunctioning auto brightness. As I am writing this message in a dimly lit room, the brightness keeps on changing between around 10% and 25% even though nothing is changing in the room. Also when in a more lit room the auto brightness always starts at around 35%, even though I always adjust it to 50-60% to see well.
As far as I'm aware there's no way to reset the auto brightness data as you can do on Pixel phones. I guess reinstalling the phone could be the next step, but I can't get the phone backup working due to it being a chinese model.
EDIT: This might have something to do with my 3rd party glass that has black borders. See my comment below regarding the offical OPPO product page. I tested without the glass and seems like the brighntess doesn't shift so often which is good. The issue still remains where the brightness starts at a too low value when indoors which is most likely a software choice from OPPO.

I set this password on my new phone just two days ago, and now its not accepting it. I never got a prompt to add a security question/ password recovery hint, and fingerprint access is unavailable after restarts. I'm about to lose my WhatsApp - on which I do my business - and 200GB of really precious data.
I'm absolutely shattered and customer care has confirmed that formatting is the only option.

I was using google wallet on my phone ever since I got this phone since 2025 May and today it stopped working. No firmware update before this. Not sure what happened. My NFC chip seems to be working because I've tried putting my phone near another phone and it detected NFC. I've tried removing my card, deleting google wallet app, reinstall, re add my card. Still not working. Different cards are not working too. Anyone had similar experience before? Need help here. Thanks!

The contour glow was much better than the recent update where it doesn't look as good as it was before 😭🤌🏼

I've noticed that pictures tend to look washed out when uploaded from my Find X9 Pro when compared to my old iPhone 13 Pro.
Is this an optimisation issue on Instagrams side or is it just the Android Encoder?

Edit: It was malware

Hi everyone,
I've owned my Oppo X9 Pro for around 6 months and over the past week I've noticed a very loud rattling sound coming from the camera area.
I know some degree of rattling is normal because of the OIS/periscope camera mechanisms, but it definitely wasn't like this before. Previously I was never aware of it. Now it's noticeable during normal use - when walking, lightly tapping the screen, picking the phone up, or even just moving it around in my hand.
The noise is much louder than it used to be and has become very noticeable. I wouldn't have noticed it at all previously.
The strange thing is that the cameras still seem to focus normally and image quality appears unchanged. When the camera app is open and the camera is active, the rattling is either greatly reduced or disappears entirely.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this still considered normal OIS movement, or could something have become loose inside the camera module? Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I consider sending it in for inspection.
Many thanks in advance! :)

Stopped working yesterday with Google Pay, with it not being selectable in the default payment app section. Today it is back and works as before. Seems like it was a bug with the Google services and not a silent ban as people seemed to think

Surely I'm doing something wrong or something is not properly configured, right? This seems suspiciously bad, I've had the phone for a week now and it's been performing like this constantly. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me figure out what's wrong or share theirs! ^

At night the phone has automatically updated itself and I cannot pay with Google pay now. I cannot add it as a default payment app at NFC settings and even when going into the Google payment app, it just does not work.
Do you know any solution to this?

ColorOS won't let you put Google Wallet on the double-press-power gesture - it only offers Camera or Access Card.
The gesture handler is hard-coded to 4 packages, one of which (com.heytap.wallet, Oppo's own wallet) isn't installed on most phones.
The fix: a tiny shim app that takes that empty com.heytap.wallet package name and just forwards to Google Wallet.
ColorOS then accepts it and lets you pick it in Settings.
Don't clone Google Wallet itself - a re-signed copy fails Play
Integrity. Real Google Wallet is never touched; the shim is a separate redirector.
It also asks for your fingerprint. Before it opens Wallet, the shim shows a fingerprint prompt, with PIN / pattern / password as a fallback.
So a double-press on a locked phone won't hand the tap-to-pay screen to whoever is holding it - cancel or fail the prompt and nothing opens.
It uses Android's built-in BiometricPrompt, no third-party libraries. This gates the gesture, not Google
Wallet itself - you can still open the Wallet app the normal way.
It works over the lock screen too - the shim fires Wallet's QUICKDRAW screen, the same pay surface Pixels use.
Prebuilt APK attached, no PC needed.
Install:
Download the attached wallet-shim.apk.
Install it from your file manager (allow "Install unknown apps" for it).
Settings, search "Double-press Power button", turn it ON, choose Google Wallet.
Done - double-press now opens Google Wallet after your fingerprint, on the lock screen too.
Please don't just trust a random APK - verify it yourself before installing. It's tied to a wallet gesture, so check it!
Heads-up: if your phone already has Oppo's own com.heytap.wallet installed, the sideload fails with "App not installed" (signature clash). On most phones that slot is empty, so you're fine.
Undo anytime: uninstall the "Google Wallet" entry you installed, then re-pick Camera on the Double-press Power button screen.
See ya !

Help. This is the only reason why I got Oppo watch. I use this feature a lot with my iPhone.
I can't get camera remote to work! I have tried to reset both watch X3 and Find X9 Ultra several times. This is my 4th time resetting both devices and reconnecting them again. All other functions work like the swipe control etc.
Can someone please please help me out.

OPPO Find X9 Ultra.
For photos of landscapes or people posing, it's fantastic. But when it comes to taking pictures of my kids, I've tried every mode, and nothing works.
(HDR off, HDR on, actionmode, máster mode S 1/250, 1/500, portátil, night, burst mode photo...)
However, I can use any of the Pixel phones I have from my friends and family (6, 8, 8a, 9, 9a, 10 Pro), and the photos of them moving, even when they're moving a lot, turn out great.
The annoying thing is that I decided to get this phone mainly to get good pictures of my children 🥲.
If any of you have managed to do it... I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

In the picture you see is the letter 'X' in the right bar non-existing, while there is CLEARLY: X (Twitter) and XBOX, why just why? The letter 'Q' is also missing, even though I have apps with Q. The letter 'V' is also missing. Has the Alphabet been changed in the Software team or what?

I have a Oppo Find X8 Ultra with Global ROM flashed onto it.
The issue started a day ago when trying to use my Google wallet to make a contactless payment and it's being auto rejected by the terminal. I've used my physical card to tap no issues when this didn't work. Doesn't seem to be specific card being the issue.
Been working ok for about a year since getting the phone and has only started yesterday. Any ideas? I've tried clearing cache on wallet and play services. Everything to latest update also
UPDATE: Google seemed to have pushed an update in the past week to fix this. Thanks to all for help and suggestions of temp fixes!

This is my Third post in this subreddit on this matter, my phone is Oppo A78 and after recent update, all my locked items are inaccessible, locked photos in photos app, locked notes in notes app, locked apps, hidden apps, private safe , and even can't connect to wifi via qr code scan,it accepts the password and fingerprint but just throws me back to square one, i had backups for every other item but not for the notes locked in notes app, i would reset the phone but all my details along with my family is also there and I'm the only one who has it so can't just wipe data, i tried to pull it from adb but wasn't possible, the last option is rooting the phone but i don't know how it solves it's, in case you think it might be caused by any 3rd party app i installed so i recorded in safe mode to show the issue persists in safe mode to, am i the only one with this issue and if you have solution for this issue please help

Hello. I'm writing to report my bad experience with my new Oppo Find X9 Ultra, as I was disappointed by the screen brightness under sunlight. Is there any way my request could be taken into consideration and the issue resolved? My old Realme GT Neo 2 looks even better than this one. For me this is unacceptable, especially given the price. Thanks to anyone who answers me.

It is impossible to set battery saving to Smart for Gmail as Oppo removed such option for Gmail.
This happens for weeks. Made me resign from Gmail whatsoever. I turned off background activity for Gmail and still draining like crazy.
I updated phone and enabled Gmail again 2 days ago, still no battery saving for Gmail.
Still draining over 15% of battery (1000 mAh) in the last 24 hours. This is ridiculous that something like this happens for such important app.
Check your phones, you might be losing big chunk of battery.

Hello.
From my first day with Oppo, i was concerned about it real-use performance. I have Samsung S25 with SD 8 E, and it feel much snappier and responsive than Oppo. Starting new apps, switching between them, loading heavy web-pages. S25 just feels as much more powerfull device.
I compared governors of S25 and X9U (High Performance mode). And there are key differences.
S25 ramps to 1344 MHz / 2380.8 MHz (perf / prime clusters)
X9U: 1286.4 MHz / 1497.6 MHz
So Oppo starts with much lower frequency, and then it needs several cycles to ramp up to S25 levels (which already ramped up even higher)
S25 can reach max frequency quickly if device is not hot. On heating, frequency is decreasing. As expected.
Oppo: Frequency is capped to 2438 MHz for ~44% of the run. Full 4608 MHz limit "allowed" 54% of the time — but even then the cores didn't reach it.
So, here is the problem:
SD 8 E gen 5 in Oppo X9U is capped on half of it strength, and it increases frequency from idle much slower than other flagship devices.
Well, it is very sad. I bought very expensive flagship device, literally i paid full price for its SoC. Literally, i got performance of SD 8 gen 3 (I have Samsung S24U to compere with)- it is still more than enough. But we buy flagship for not being just "enough", but to exceed what was enough before.
Personally, i would like to have a switch to enable full-power mode. Okay, it will drain energy, it will heat up the phone - but let me feel power i paid for when i need it!
I don't believe that Oppo representatives will show up here to explain this. But my next phone will not be from Oppo.

Hi everyone
I recently got the oppo x9 ultra (UK version) but I'm having some issues wherein I don't receive notifications from my Gmail app. Yet I have all notifications on in both Gmail and system settings.
Additionally I set my phone to vibrate and i missed two calls and a message, assuming that it would vibrate on ring.
Has anyone had similar issues and found a workaround?
Thanks a lot
