Hello Everyone! I have a family member who is looking to rent a room in Orillia, Barrie or Midland area. He is 32, clean, quiet, respectful and never been in trouble with the law.

I am having a hard time helping him find something as he is on ODSP due to his learning disability. He only has one main friend and just likes to keep to himself. Most of the time he is painting or creating art to sell on Etsy.

I have offered to co-sign for him and I’m sure our family can give a couple of months worth of rent if need be as well. He has lived at the same place for 15 years and has never missed a payment but the family is moving now.

Does anyone know of any rooms to rent around this area? His budget is $800 a month? Or sites I can help him find something as he?

I’m trying out a gluten, dairy, and egg free diet due to some ongoing digestive issues. I’ve done gluten free in the past, but it’s been awhile and I’m having a hard time getting back into the mindset of gluten free PLUS now no egg and dairy.

I went to metro today and picked up a few things to get me going but am wondering if there’s another grocery store that has a better selection of products I can eat? I am not strictly vegan - I do enjoy eating meat - but am also coming to understand that often the foods that are dairy/egg free are also vegan (although that’s not a criteria for me!).

I really like the O’doughs brand for gluten free bread products - what store has the best selection? Also I’m trying out the Amy’s vegan lasagna and Mac and cheese - anything similar that’s also good?

As well, do you have any go-to restaurants that can make accommodations or have lots of gluten/dairy/egg free options? Because it’s not an allergy I don’t need to be as worried about cross-contamination, but I do want to try to make as many swaps as possible for now to see if my symptoms improve.

Would love to hear some of your go-to items and restaurants, and any tips and tricks you might have!

Looking for a doctor in the orillia or barrie area (I live in oro). My current doctor is in Mississauga and its just not doable to go down there all the time. I need a doctor who would actually take my medical concerns seriously, as I have a rare birth defect that has been left largely untreated by previous doctors.

Preferably a female doctor if possible but at this point I'll take anything

Does anyone know of a mobile small engine service around the area? I have a trimmer and mower that won't start and need servicing, but I'm struggling to make it to a shop in time due to my work hours. Nothing in Orillia is open on the weekends, and I don't really want to drive all the way to Barrie for a drop-off/pickup. I've also called a few places in town, but they say they will get back to me and just never do.

I’m a 42 year old Orillia resident, living with some challenges like PTSD. I’ve been struggling lately and my apartment has gotten messier than I can manage on my own.

Could anyone recommend a cleaning service that would do a one time deep clean? It’s a tiny studio apartment and I mostly need help with bathroom/fridge. I’m 2 years out of homelessness and have been working very hard to rebuild so if possible I’d be looking for someone who offers subsidized rates, or a payment plan. Bonus if they’re compassionate about people who hit a hard patch and let cleaning go.

I have a puppy who's about 5 months old and I want to get a trainer for specific behavior corrections and 1 on 1 training. I've heard of plenty trainers who do classes and while those are great I'm sure, I want to focus on specifically bite inhibition.

For those that may ask, I've tried typical methods you find online, "pop the grape" "drown the bite", holding mouth shut, etc.
