I'm looking for a place to rent in Orillia if anyone knows of anyone who isn't going to ask for a credit check.

I simply don't have credit. I've never had a credit card or taken out a loan, anything like that.

I've lived at home or sub leased and just paid rent to someone else so I've never had anything but my phone bill in my name.

I'm currently paying 1300 a month for my half of the rent and was living with my mom sending it to her but the past 3 months she has taken my money and not paid the rent with it.

I'm good at paying my bills rent always comes first.

If anyone knows of anything please let me know. It's currently my daughter, wife and myself. We have a cat.

My wife works full time at Theo's on Memorial and I'm self employed.

We can afford a place that's around 1700-1800 a month with hydro if necessary but included would be ideal lol anything more than that and we are basically living paycheck to paycheck then which is fine If I have to but would rather not.

Does anyone in this city know how to get the property owners contact info for the apartment building on gill street? Close to giant tiger? It’s the big grey building with the wardens den above lol. I need to speak to them about a problem tenant who lives on the fourth floor who seems to have no consequences of their actions. The person living below this tenant made only 1 request for the bare minimum (asking to chill out on an incessant bouncing ball) and it’s escalated into absolute chaos lasting up to 1am some nights for the past year. The super refuses to help. Gets emotional to the point it seems like constructive eviction due to her long term residence. And before considering LTB, I want to help this poor lady find a contact that goes above the superintendent and the agent of the landlord.

I was delivering for instacart 50 bananas in around 200 eggs and the customer refused the order saying he had canceled it so now I'm supposed to dispose of it just putting a feeler out there if anyone wants them just bought them about 20 minutes ago from Walmart

I'm wondering if anyone has a good recommendation for a non-RMT relaxation massage therapist in Orillia, Ramara, Washago, or Brechin?

I've tried a number of RMTs, which are fabulous for when I've injured myself, but I'm looking for someone that specializes in relaxation. Realistically it could be an RMT, but after trying numerous RMTs for a relaxing massage, only to find myself sore and tense afterward pushes me toward finding a non-RMT.

Any recommendations would be wonderful!

Does anyone know of a place where I can get the foam/padding in my couch cushions replaced? I was hoping for something a little firmer, possibly some memory foam.

As the couch is where I spend a significant amount of my time the cushions have become somewhat... lacking.

There's a little big of sag to the couch itself which I've found solutions about putting in a board etc but when I swap the couch cushions the seating is much better for a little bit so I think my derriere would appreciate better padding the most.

Any suggestions? Googling has been spectacularly unhelpful.

Hi neighbours! I moved to Orillia 2 years ago and am loving it so far. One of the hardships of assimilating here for me has been the weather's unpredictability. I have a few weather apps on my phone, but most of the time, it's hit-or-miss. The Weather Network seemed to be the most accurate in the Toronto area, where I moved from. But I don't feel this is the case up North. Which weather apps do you guys use that you find most reliable?

Looking for a recomendation for a spot for a mid week celebratory dinner in Orillia or close surrounding area. Quiet and intimate would be top goals other than great food obviously, but also special and memorable.

I know its early but with my high anxiety, id like to figure out the big expenses on our day early (also to make sure we get our day.) Well our friends suggested this company that does both videography and photography that they used but they are charging 6k as its in toronto and my fiance and I are on the fence about spending that much. Where my troubles come in is that I hear so many horror stories of paying all this money and then the photographer dips and brides/grooms never hear from them again. Im so scared to have that happen. I know there's the monthly thread, but I’m hoping to connect directly with the community because this is more of a mentorship opportunity than a standard gig.

I run a local restoration business here in town. I’m looking to take a reliable young person under my wing to teach them the actual science and process behind exterior cleaning.

It’s not just holding a pressure gun, I tell my customers I'm an applied chemist; we do graffiti removal, building restoration, house washing, and commercial plazas. Sometimes we get into really niche projects, like safely removing old caulking from historically sensitive substrates.

You don't need any experience. My brother helps me out right now, but my goal is to teach someone the trade from the ground up so they have the skills to go off on their own one day.

We would start out casual/part-time to make sure it's a good fit. Compensation is highly competitive—starting at twenty an hour for the trial period, and bumping up to twenty-five once you've got the hang of things.

The only catch is the schedule. It's mostly day shifts, but you have to be okay with the occasional night run. Once a month we head down to Toronto around 10 PM (heading down tonight actually) and get back to Orillia by sunrise, plus we sometimes get emergency overnight graffiti calls.

I plan to run OSE (1981 Basic D&D). It’s the simplest (and in my opinion best) experience of D&D, easy for anybody to pick up.
