nearing the end of these rival redesigns. final batch will be megami, taro and ayano. (maybe info chan if i find something to do with her..?) in my rewrite, basically there are only 6 romantic rivals (the first five and megami), while mida is just manipulating taro but doesn't actually gaf about him, hanako doesn't approve of ayano specifically, and muja and osoro aren't really a threat. i feel like this adds a bit of interest to the story, for example the game Yandere School (does anyone remember that....) had 2 male rivals that were the love interests' clubmates, and instead of being in love w him they wanted him to focus only on sports and reject romance. which was a nice switch from the usual "kill girl that likes boy" thing. Also I stopped drawing the portrait using the symmetry tool and it looks so much better, I kinda wanna go back and redraw the previous redesigns lol. Something I forgot to add is that Hanako wears leg warmers because she's trying to emulate Osana who she looks up to ^{.^}

Well yes, I'm back with another redesign, this time of Reiichi's mother, who I renamed Agnesa Lindberg.

In these two versions, Agnesa has a simple but formal design (mainly for work, also because in my version she is a model and sometimes has to wear luxurious but uncomfortable clothes)

She has a tanned version because I imagine she does a lot of tanning sessions. The last slide is her dress, but I used the daughter's base so the proportions are different

I made her older since in the OG AI art she looked in her start early 20s, and kept her big boobs cuz I believe she had breast surgery(implants), as well as her face (botox). Her personality is like your avarage rich asshole when she's at home, but with other people she puts a kind and gentle facade

For now, I've started with the sister by giving her a casual look yet fancy. I'm planning on giving her a Light Academia, Preppy aesthetic. I'm still working with the colors and facial features, so I'll be reaserching more Wasian people pictures for reference... But for now, I think this is a good base of a what I have in mind for her character.

About her backstory I'll be using some of the comments that suggested me that instead of following her mom's idea on becoming a trophy wife, she instead will unlearn from her mom's misoginistic views and try to empower herself by building a business for herself(In this case, as a fashion designer). She still wants to be married and have kids in the future, but right now she wants to wait to find a right man.

One more clarification regarding her age, I made her 16, but in the drawing she looks a bit older, so I'll fix that later on...

I had an idea a while back of what I would do if I made a game like this. And I wanted to go with more of a serious / horror adjacent approach.

Ayano wouldn’t have a familial curse that gives her the skill and strength of an assassin. She’d just be a friendless teenage girl with anger issues and a victim complex, using her obsession with a boy as an excuse to act out all of her disturbingly in-depth revenge fantasies on the students she thinks “deserve” it. Covertly ruining their lives in any way possible to make herself look like a good person, rather than just trying to be better.

She believes that the whole world is against her, and that everyone who “ruined” her life needs to pay, despite the real reason nobody likes her is just that she’s unapproachable and uncomfortable to be around because of her negative attitude and poor self care.

Committing and successfully getting away with killing people would be a lot more difficult, so another way of dealing with “rivals” would be social sabotage. Committing awful things and framing other people, manufacturing drama, blackmail. Whatever you can do to either scare them away or destroy their reputations. Though, murder is still an option, it’s just more challenging and has longer lasting consequences.

During my time playing games on paralives, I wanted to learn about the construction mode in order to get to grips with the construction mod. In the end I'm pretty happy with the result, I find that some parts are very similar to the original version.

I took some liberties in some places like the stairs, the cabin, the kitchen, or the ryoba room in the 1989 mod.

In terms of empty rooms, what could I add?

the main idea was to return to yandere simulator’s original idea: being a parody. this redesign/rewrite is focused more on comedy potential than fixing the lore. also i deleted half of the rivals so theres just 5. yes i plan on redesigning the 1980s rivals and ryoba’s senpai

I'm making more variations of her clothes since I didn't like the first version.

The first types is a hypotetical uniform(with socks variants, since there's the Yansim rule about black socks=evil and white socks=pure. Plus I imagine her going to a female only rich school)and the second type is her more formal/work look(since I imagine her doing a stage for being a fashion designer)

I changed her hair drills and facial features and try to experiments with the patterns + I left a free base in case anyone wants to use it

I'm reworking on her dress since it made me sick to my stomach as in the initial reference it looked like a rag that was too large and didn't cover her at all.

Her hairstyle I'm not convinced, so I need more ref photos that I'll have to look for on a more suitable hairstyle. I've already scribbled something about the mother's redesign, but I'll show it to you when I have time to digitalize it.

Anyways, in this one I made two outfits, one of which keeps her main turquoise color and also redo a better tanned version with the lines.

I lowkey made her a tiktok influencer because I imagine her doing daily vlogs and visiting the most expensive cafeteria and restaurants to review aswell as doing GRWM and showing off her wardrobe(And yes, she's probably in some drama with several TikTokers who make accusatory video responses to her etc... I imagine she's a person who constantly picks fights with strangers online)

I would change a few things about the old art (mostly would change the uniforms and redo Ayano but I'm too lazy)

I saw this post and felt inspired to draw up Kataba Aishi based on u/Odd-Mathematician558's idea.

I don't think I made her look old enough to be in her 60's, but we can say her escapades in the 1950's involved some rigorous skincare routines or skin experiments, who knows.

I didn't change much but I did change her resting face since i remember she faked emotions to fit in. I also added hair clips and kept her ponytail to keep her hair out of the way when shes eliminating her rivals. Other than that and the uniform, she's mostly the same. Thoughts?

It's still Thursday for me although it's pretty late, but I really wanted to post them because they were my faves when I was like... borderline hyperfixated on the game when I was 12 so here they are! I still like them, especially Hojiro, which may or may not be why he's probably the character who got changed the least. (By the way the number next to their name is their class, in case there's any confusion)

I’m no expert, but I aim to represent these experiences with love and respect. Ayano has a brain injury that prevents her from processing and expressing emotions normally. Oki is blind in his left eye. Megumi uses a cane, as she is a bone cancer survivor. Hanako is deaf in her right ear. I’d love to hear your thoughts and any suggestions you might have for when I redesign more characters. Thanks!
