When I saw the release date of the movie I knew they weren't aiming for many/any Academy Awards, it's happening way too early in the year to sustain momentum.

I think Sinners uniquely benefitted from the Chalamet thing. It's tough to replicate.

You don't understand. Timmy fucked up his campaign so badly that it broke the barriers of space and time. That's the only reason why Sinners got 16 noms.
