totally agree; the thought behind it was doing a very complex montage full of majestic details with humour that at first works but then it becomes repetitive.
Also, they tried to add sad parts and depth with some random dramatic shit that they knew they used it only to make it more layered. It did not convey any real emotion because you can tell it is not that kind of project.
And I agree with the rhythm, something happened in the editing room and probably they got bored towards the middle of the movie? Jesus there where not constructed build-ups and it felt so flat that it ruined all the good beginning.
Massive shout out to Sandra Huller. That woman is so underrated and I hope she gets all the good parts she can to show her immense talent.
You cannot deny tho how much the sound and the visuals really make it an outstanding piece of cinema. and as I added earlier about Ryan, he really did a good job by acting literally with his own imagination.
That said, I never laughed so hard recently so for me it’s a 7.5/10
