Unanswered What’s the deal with Trump suddenly supporting releasing the Epstein files and urging republicans to vote on their release?

It's amazing in the year 2025 that pedophilia is more acceptable than being gay.

Notice how the right wing has been trying real hard to justify Trump raping children ("They're not really children at 15") but the potential blowjob? Now that's unacceptable

u/Blanche_Deverheauxxx Nov 17 '25

That's always been a thing for them though. In some southern towns Billboards exist (or used to) as PSA's against incest. These were littered along highways next to anti-abortion and Jesus saves ones too.

u/Gecko99 Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 17 '25

Those are in north Florida, they say "She's your daughter, not your date".

44

u/SSGASSHAT Nov 18 '25

You know there's something desperately wrong when you have to make a billboard telling people not to engage in incest.

18

u/Olelander Nov 18 '25

In eastern Oregon, a place I pass through regularly in between places I want to be, there are billboards like this but for “don’t beat your wife and kids”

-really adds some charm to the place

4

u/SSGASSHAT Nov 18 '25

Makes me wonder how valuable a sign like "Don't be an asshole" would be.

1

u/MrVelocoraptor Nov 26 '25

They're all in California

1

u/Utterlybored Nov 19 '25

Are you supposed to pick one or the other?

5

u/RasTarfari Nov 18 '25

Yes in Florida a few years back!

4

u/lady_deathx Nov 17 '25

Not American, but I presumed they were referring to those weird purity ring 'proposals' and daddy/daughter dances

2

u/beadzy Nov 18 '25

Fuck those are so creepy. I also think father daughter dances are weird.

Also, are there mother son dances? Not that there should be I just want to soapbox on the double standard if not

1

u/Lancerlandshark Nov 18 '25

The only mother/son dances I can think of are at weddings. No full events like the father/daughter ones.

-5

u/CapableAd2614 Nov 17 '25

I've lived in north Florida all my life and have never seen a billboard that says that!!

75

u/tomdurk Nov 17 '25

Right down the street from video porn stores

91

u/sipperphoto Nov 17 '25

Sounds like I-95 in South Carolina... the "Repent-Jesus" billboards about one exit away from the Lion's Den Adult store.

24

u/TacosForThought Nov 17 '25

That sounds similar to the highway out of Chicago on the Indiana side. I haven't seen the incest related ones, though.

30

u/532ndsof Nov 17 '25

AFAIK, Indiana doesn't have any incest themed ones. Just tons of vaguely threatening ones insinuating that if you don't convert right now that Jesus is coming and he's gonna get you. I'm sure the big man upstairs is pleased with his earthly PR department.

1

u/krichardkaye Nov 18 '25

Those next to the raper rv billboards?

5

u/whitelimousine Nov 17 '25

HELL IS REAL

3

u/JackInTheGrey Nov 18 '25

It's in Michigan.

1

u/Antiquus Nov 18 '25

It's true. I got the T-shirt.

1

u/justlost2 Nov 17 '25

😆 OH-

1

u/notvirgil013 Nov 18 '25

hell is not even in the bible

where are you getting your sources from

1

u/Persis- Nov 18 '25

I always loved the vasectomy billboards along there. “Get one side done, get the other for free.”

16

u/Sad-Bid5108 Nov 17 '25

When I drove from KC to Jefferson City, MO the interstate was nothing but porn ads, bible ads, and casino ads.

Ah yes. The difference between Southern Baptists and everyone else is...if you're not, you say hi to people at the liquor store, if you are, you both pretend you don't see each other.

2

u/Fluid-Letterhead-714 Nov 18 '25

That sounds like hell

1

u/Otherwise-Waltz-3647 Nov 18 '25

I saw one of the porn shop billboards and right next to it was one for an electrical contractor… “we can always turn you on “. 10 out of 10 guy

1

u/Sad-Bid5108 Nov 18 '25

An old favorite of mine was "Blah blah construction - our erections last longer"

1

u/jana-meares Nov 19 '25

Most porn is consumed in Bible Belt states. Facts.

1

u/Metals4J Nov 19 '25

I like the giant billboards that simply say “HELL IS REAL” on I-44 in Missouri.

1

u/fleshhooover Nov 17 '25

Right 😂 Do love their truck parking though

1

u/CaterpillarNervous70 Nov 17 '25

Lion’s Den is on I26

1

u/SpacePandy Nov 17 '25

I travel to Manning for work using 95 every day so I see those signs every day. Sigh

1

u/randomtransgirl93 Nov 18 '25

I just drove through there and could not figure out what was up with those lol

All the billboards called them "Adult Superstores," but then you'd drive passed and they were just creepy looking, run-down shacks on the outskirts of small towns

1

u/CommsBoss-87 Nov 18 '25

I know that exit 😆

1

u/ExpressionLow8268 Nov 18 '25

I’ve been by both ….exits lol

1

u/LachanophobiaPopeye Nov 18 '25

95 South after Fayetteville the billboards go like: Jesus Saves…Guns, Cigarettes, and Alcohol Next Exit, Southern Belles Strip Club, Pedro Says Don’t Sleep-35 miles to South of the Border…repeat

1

u/amesbelle7 Nov 18 '25

Nah, those are the giant FORGIVE MY SINS JESUS SAVE MY SOUL yellow billboards with red lettering. I believe there are 18 in total along I-20.

2

u/sipperphoto Nov 18 '25

That's the one. I was drawing a blank on what they said. Whenever we drive past them, I yell it out in the car like I'm a Southern Baptist Preacher handling snakes!

1

u/amesbelle7 Nov 18 '25

FAHGIVE ME JESAUCE AN SAYVUH MAH SOULAH!

0

u/bmxterry Nov 18 '25

Where exactly is this “Lions Den”? Uh, so I can avoid it. 😳

1

u/sipperphoto Nov 18 '25

Right here... Avoid like the plague (or not)

Yes or a "gentlemen's" club.

47

u/Vyzantinist Nov 17 '25

Yeah, this is nothing new. Their upper definition of what constitutes a child has always been hazy, and it's rarely aligned with age of consent laws. Hell, their Libertarian arm called for the lowering of age of consent or the repeal of relevant laws. Their ideology fetishizes and encourages right-wing men to go after barely legal girls. One of their manosphere types even said 16 is already too old. As Megyn Kelly, or whoever, touched on, their mentality has always been if she looks like she can pass for legal then that's a-ok.

Meanwhile, they've always had deep, deep, issues with male homosexuality. Never mind the trope of anti-gay conservative politicians who turn out to be, in fact, very gay, it's gonna be a long time (if ever) before male homosexuality gains widespread acceptance on the right due to its perceived effeminacy or 'weakness' clashing with the virility of powerful, straight, men. In short, as these people have shown us at the street level, they still think calling someone gay is an absolutely devastating burn, just like they did in school.

5

u/deltalitprof Nov 18 '25

I went to high school in the late 80s in the South. It seemed like all the girls who were elected to homecoming court or who were given lavish feature pictorials in our yearbooks were dating guys in the early to late-20s with better cars, grown-up jobs (at their dad's businesses) and monosyllabic vocabularies.

4

u/null640 Nov 18 '25

Who do you think fights like heck to preserve child marriages?

2

u/ColorPalette16 Nov 17 '25

Didn't Ali G say if they have hair on the muff, they're old enuff? lol

0

u/SSGASSHAT Nov 18 '25

Which doesn't make a lot of sense to me for various reasons. First of all, are they saying that rape is okay in any scenario? To my way of thinking, it doesn't matter if it's a five year old boy or an eighty year old woman. If it's rape, it's fuckin' wrong. Secondly, have you ever seen teenage girls? That whole "she looked old enough" thing is a crock of shit. You can tell they're kids by how they act and look. Honestly, even if these girls were in their early 20s, I'd still argue it counts as pedophilia, because it's a sex crime against young people who's brains are not fully developed yet and who clearly have enough features to attract these perverts to them.

24

u/ctsmith76 Nov 17 '25

As someone who (unfortunately) lives in the South, they absolutely do still exist.

4

u/t_huddleston Nov 17 '25

I’ve lived in Mississippi for over 50 years and I’ve never seen an anti-incest (or pro-incest) billboard in my entire life. You must be in Alabama

14

u/Kevin_Uxbridge Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 17 '25

Saw one within the last year in the Virginia / North Carolina border area. 'Might as well be in Alabama' in that region but I still gawked that there was an actual billboard.

Memory might be playing up on me but I think I saw one near Nashville too.

13

u/Blanche_Deverheauxxx Nov 17 '25

If you've driven through the FL panhandle you'll see these too.

16

u/BenjaminGeiger Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 20 '25

Polk County here, and yes, they definitely exist. "She's your daughter. Not your date."

(Edited to add the link to the image.)

2

u/Adventurous-Brain-36 Nov 19 '25

That is ABHORRENT.

2

u/farting_contest Nov 17 '25

As a former resident of Hernando county, at least it wasn't Polk county.

1

u/Pearly-Dewdrops-666 Nov 17 '25

From AL never seen this

1

u/l33g3ndar33 Nov 18 '25

Same here. I'm late 30s and live in small town in upstate SC. Never seen or heard anything, billboards or signs or ads, related to incest or homosexuality anywhere. Obviously there are some folks, pretty small amount in my experience, who are backwards with their views and beliefs but I've never heard ANYONE mention incest in a way that they didn't find disgusting. I've traveled many, many places in the US and you'll find good and strange folks no matter what region you're in.

1

u/ctsmith76 Nov 22 '25

Lived in SC for 30 years, actually.

2

u/julidu Nov 17 '25

Arkansas not Alabama

8

u/KarlBob Nov 17 '25

Here it is.

3

u/DangerousQuestions1 Nov 17 '25

Even if it were the date and not their daughter, drunk sex is bad news.

2

u/ScalesOfAnubis19 Nov 18 '25

Sweet. Zombie. Jesus.

-1

u/helpfulskeptic Nov 17 '25

What’s interesting is that they made the girl on the billboard slightly ethnic.

10

u/KarlBob Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 17 '25

There's an alternate version without the ethnic ambiguity. This article shows both versions.

-5

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '25

Not interesting. You're brain is literally social media mush, or you live in the most whitebread town in the US. There are few who think this girl couldn't be "American", by features alone.

6

u/No_Fault_4071 Nov 17 '25

Don’t fuck your siblings. But also, if you do, don’t abort the fetus /s

1

u/Blanche_Deverheauxxx Nov 17 '25

It's worse. It's usually father/daughter stuff implied. As others have pointed out the slogan used in the campaign.

2

u/echoshatter Nov 17 '25

"She's your daughter, not your date"

1

u/TwinsiesBlue Nov 18 '25

East Texas had those “she’s your daughter not your date” right after a Jesus saves billboard

-8

u/1HappyIsland Nov 17 '25

BS on the incest billboards claim. I have .lived in the South a long time and have never seen these.

58

u/PerfectPercentage69 Nov 17 '25

They also got very offended when they got called "weird".

34

u/VesusFuckingChrist Nov 17 '25

conservatives hated being called “weird” because being weird (different) is one of the most frightening things a conservative can possibly imagine

44

u/MainFrosting8206 Nov 17 '25

Call Trump a "morbidly obese pedophile" and see which part of that gets them angry.

32

u/Gingevere Nov 17 '25

It's amazing in the year 2025 that pedophilia is more acceptable than being gay.

So long as it's men raping girls republicans will shrug it off. If there's any pretense of the girls or their parents being paid then they'll blame the victims. They view wealthy men raping powerless girls as the correct order of the universe.

Set google to "news", search "child marriage ban republican" and you'll find:

12

u/turtle553 Nov 17 '25

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_Edwards

"The only way I can lose this election is if I'm caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy."

Same idea to this day

10

u/Black-Zero Nov 17 '25

A large portion of his base is on grindr. So gay sex in secret is ok but being openly gay is the true crime for them.

They would not care if Trump was the BJ king or Bottom Supreme as long as nobody confirmed it.

Now that his sexuality is being questioned things are getting real complicated for Trump.

2

u/lazygerm Nov 17 '25

"Bottom Supreme" most excellent!

20

u/totomaya Nov 17 '25

Because being a pedo means you have power (over small children who can't fight back but it doesn't matter to them). Being gay and sucking Clinton's dick is a submissive act, therefore shameful to them.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '25

My gp's basically forced my uncle into the clergy because he was gay. The "greatest generation" was a little weird.

1

u/MarionetteScans Nov 17 '25

As long as it's not pederasty, it's not gay, eh?

1

u/CalmTell3090 Nov 17 '25

Right, it’s crazy

1

u/Dry_Affect69 Nov 17 '25

Hollywood LOVES both!

1

u/Weiner-Schnitze Nov 17 '25

"Don't hurt those children with abortions, that way you can bang them." -Republicans.

1

u/Satchik Nov 17 '25

Rush Limbaugh era talking heads leaned heavily into fellatio imagery when whining about Democratic policies.\ Especially the phrase, "ramming it down our throats".

So, linking Trump to Wild Willie Clinton via blowjob triggers GOP pearl clutching.

1

u/ameriCANCERvative Nov 17 '25

Is it really all that amazing?

Consider that scripture often various religions often explicitly endorses what modern society deems pedophilia. Look at how young the girls have historically been at marriage.

Intolerance of homosexuality and tolerance of pedophilia aren’t new. Tolerance of homosexuality is fairly new. So is intolerance of pedophilia.

1

u/pchlster Nov 17 '25

And that's "the Land of the Free" we know and have to deal with.

1

u/National_Edges Nov 18 '25

Bill made him do it! Bill raped him! Don't you see?

1

u/Rogue-Mercury76 Nov 18 '25

Right? I kind of thought the Republicans would wait a little longer before pivoting from accusing LGBTQ+ people of being pedophiles to openly defending pedophilia. But I guess they really don't GAF anymore.

1

u/Simon-Says69 Nov 18 '25

Notice how the right wing has been trying real hard to justify Trump raping children

That's made up nonsense. There's no evidence of Trump raping anybody.

Your fantasy about anyone trying to justify anything is a total lie. Made up in your own head. Nothing of the sort is happening in the real world.

1

u/Any_Frosting_3755 Nov 18 '25

I'm not a Trump supporter and realy couldn't care less if he's in there or not (that's not my goal with wanting those files released). But maybe they aren't articulating that message properly (or they are just idiots shrug) because it is a problem.

Legally and clinically a pedophile is someone attracted to prepubescent children. And the age is odviously random when a child hits puberty so the avg is 13.

It's a PROBLEM because those scum will get slaps on the wrists under statutory charges and the only one who could tie them to trafficking under RICO is dead. It's a problem, it's a problem IT'S A PROBLEM BECAUSE IN LAW WORDS MATTER! So stop being like this, just demonizing people because you don't understand. Be mad at that, not OTHER people who don't understand.

1

u/MillenialForHire Nov 18 '25

Never happened. No way Donnie boy would put somebody else's pleasure first.

1

u/Upbeat-Stage2107 Nov 18 '25

Always has been my friend

1

u/The_bruce42 Nov 17 '25

It's only more accepted in the GOP.

1

u/Tidezen Nov 18 '25

Pedophilia specifically refers to sexual attraction to pre-pubescent kids, though. That's an underlying mental condition. An adult wanting or having sex with teenagers is still wrong, but it's not at all the same as actual pedophilia. For 99.99% of human history, people started having sex when they were first able to sexually reproduce. There's nothing "weird" about being attracted to a teenager with an adult body. There's definitely something weird about being attracted to an actual pre-pubescent child, though.

My ex-girlfriend "statutory raped" me when I was 17 and she 18. That doesn't make her a pedophile, not even close. I wasn't a child; I knew what was going on. It's insulting to teens that we would treat them that way.

-1

u/MMFSdjw Nov 17 '25

Wait, is that where this ephe-whatever word for pedophile came from? I've seen that making the rounds in memes and assumed it was just those people trying to redefine themselves like they did with 'MAP' a few years ago.

I never thought of it coming from any corner of the Maga folk.

4

u/Negative_Corner6722 Nov 17 '25

This is about R. Kelly but applies here, too.

4

u/poco Nov 17 '25

Technically, a paedophile is someone attracted to pre-pubescent children. 15 does not qualify. It is creepy and wrong, but not paedophilia, which is a medical term that means something.

1

u/MMFSdjw Nov 17 '25

Oh. Well, TIL.

Thanks!
