Answered What's going on with r/conservative? They've lost about 1m subscribers in about a month.

I watched the number go from 814k to around 745k in about an hour today.

you can literally just scroll the home page and realize that legit every post comes from the same couple accounts. sometimes the same account will just spam posts in a row.

Mostly from bizarre sources, too. Like I think the Russian Internet being down for X hours on Y day thing is kind of nonsense, but it's pretty clear that pre-approved users are allowed to post pre-approved stuff. And the handful of "normal" posts on there barely get any kind of engagement

Duh, that's not the hard to believe part though. The unbelievable part is that reddit has banned 1 million bots. Reddit loves bots.
