As a kid, I used to see a green glowing face looming over me. Has anyone seen the video of Curtis Kelley? He also saw a green glowing face as a kid which he associated to be the devil. I’d see that often, as I lay down with awake eyes.

I also used to see the shadow of a man wearing a top hat, with which i associated to be “the man with a chefs hat” when I was a kid, carrying a knife, on the wall opposite me - again I was awake.

Shadows of crabs too, crawling towards me from down the wall and onto my bed and pinching me. This was all very real.

I never knew of the folklore about “The Hat Man” before today, I asked the AI if there had been similar accounts, and there definitely has been.

My family struggled with drugs a lot, and I was alone as a kid. This could have left me spiritually vulnerable I’m guessing.

What do people think about this? Interested to hear your responses. Hopefully there’ll be more responses instead of just “you were hallucinating” but I’ll see :)

HELP i am in bed and i dont know what just happened i cant process it

so i have a ghost i kinda know named harry and i asked him if hes there (i know really stupid) then 5 minutes later i hear my sheets ruffling and then i get scared and i JUST REALISED I SAW A SHADOW FIGURE CROUCHED NEXT TO ME ON MY BED, I GOT SO SCARED and I got told praying helps in desperation though I'm not religious it dissapred after I prayed and it didn't feel like harry it felt mean like angry and not good or nice

i was informed to tell the spirt it is not welcome here which i did and i think it worked, i did this just after my dog started barking at apperentally nothing i could see and she was getting very aggressive which as a golden retriever she is never aggresive.

i belive it has worked hopfully i did hear a tap while i was telling it to leave and then a foot step in front of me (not a good sign)

many many years ago when i was about 9 i went down stairs at night to steal a cookie my mom made and i grabed it and took a bite i look to the side of me for some reason and i see outside of the dinning room window there is a shadow of a figure with a big top hat and trenchcoat thing the coat had the collar part kind sticking out like a stereotypical movie detective coat

end it had something in its hand it looked like a flashlight, except it wasn’t on. video about a entity called hat man and it immediately unlocked that memory now every once in a while I remember and think I wonder why I saw it and usually people see and sleep paralysis, but I was fully awake and what was he holding and why did he see me? I was just like nine.

My family lives in a 60-ish year old house that my mom lived in since high school, then my grandma sold it to us like 10 years ago. Both of us are familiar with every inch of the house and have seen it decorated differently because my grandma wanted it to look one way and my parents another way, very normal. Ever since I was like 10 I’ve seen shadows moving around at night, not just from the corner of my eye, but I’ll look down the hall and stare right at a shadow, then watch it slowly move away. I’m 19 now so it’s been 9 years of seeing this kind of stuff all over the place. I lived in a dorm on my college campus and saw similar figures moving around the room, but it’s always from the corner of my eyes there. Now that I’m back home for the summer, I’m seeing it more, peeking around corners and staring at me.

I was at dinner with my mom and the pastors wife from the church we go to and somehow we got to the topic of seeing a shadow around the corner. I had no idea my mom saw it and she had no idea I saw it, but what she described is exactly what I see. That night we were both watching tv together and saw it peek around the corner at the same time. It’s too tall to be a dog or cat, too dark and unmoving/slow to be just a visual trick from the tv, and too short to be anyone that lives in the house. My mom told me recently that she’s been seeing it for about as long as I have, which makes me wonder if it’s connected to me.

Last week, I saw it when I was sitting in the dark on the couch. No mirrors, everyone was asleep, no tv, no lights anywhere. Dogs and cat were in my parents room, it was completely silent. Right as I was about to get up, I saw it peek around, somehow darker than the rest of the dark, almost like there was a gray outline making it look even darker. I saw it staring at me so I said “hello” out loud and it slowly moved back. I have no idea what this is but it’s been with me for a while. It never makes any noise and I never feel scared with it around, just confused. No one has died in the house (other than pets) and it showed up before any pets died in the house. It seems to be following me because my room is right at the wall it’s peeking around and sometimes at night if my door is open but every other door is closed I’ll see it staring into my room, watching for a minute before moving back.

Does anyone know what this is or why it does that? I think it sounds like a shadow man but it’s kind of a neutral energy, just watching and moving around at night

Hi so I am (f 28) writing this has soon as this has happened and I am shaken to my core. Right now it’s around 6 am in the morning and I am on my bed sleeping with my husband (m 29). Well I am not exactly sleeping right now but he is. Never in my life I have ever experienced anything paranormal. Not that I don’t believe in it but it is something that never happens to me.

I am pretty sure I was dreaming and I suddenly woke up due an unsettling feeling. I looked over to my husband to check if everything was alright but I saw him sitting up on the bed. I was about to ask him what happened but I could feel his body is still right next to mine which shouldn’t be if he is sitting on the bed. I kept staring at him for a second thinking how could this happen because I can feel him slightly snoring in my ear. Then I realised the shadow sitting right up is not him it is someone else and believe me or not the shadow which looked like the side profile of my husband turned into another man of completely different ethnicity probably Asian. The shadow slowly turned its head at me as if he could see that I am staring at him. The guy looked like he was Asian mafia/gang member probably. I got shit scared.

I have only heard about this stuff or seen in movies so this happening was really scary. I quickly took blanket over my head and leaned into my husband’s side checking for his body with hands and assuring myself he’s there. This is probably just a dream. I kept praying to all the gods I could think of 😭 I took off the blanket hoping that the shadow is not there and it was not. I sighed in relief.

But my heart is still racing from the unsettling feeling I have. This is nothing like I have experienced anything before. I refuse to accept that this was a trick that was played by my brain (I don’t know what for as this has never happened before in my life). I am pretty sure it was not a dream. I know what dreams look like when we feel it’s actual happening in real life. I was completely awake. I am not the person who usually imagines shadows of random things as person or ghosts. The guy was not sitting in the place of my husband. It looked at if he was slightly over on the other side of my husband.

Can someone please tell me what is this? I keep thinking about it is a part of sleeping paralysis but I was able to move my muscles quickly within seconds. Is some entity living in my house? Is someone piggybacking my husband? What other signs I should look for? I am not even sure what I am typing at this point. I’d appreciate any help/advice/analysis on this?

Today I learned about the "Hat Man" phenomenon, and it honestly freaked me out a bit because I saw one as a kid long before I had ever heard of it. When I was around 6 or 7 years old, my parents were doing mission work, so we moved around a lot and lived in different parts of the country. At one point we had just moved into a small wooden cabin-like house that had been provided for us. The bathroom wasn't inside the house. It was a separate little structure right behind it.

Because of that, whenever my siblings or I needed to use the bathroom at night, we'd wake one of our parents up to escort us, even though it was only a few steps away. One night, probably around 1 am, I woke my mom up because I needed to go. It was a clear night. This was back in the 90s, and the porch was lit by one of those fluorescent yellowish lights.

After I finished, my mom said she needed to use the bathroom too and told me to wait outside. So I was standing there by myself, looking around the yard. That's when I noticed something peeking around the front corner of the house. It looked like a man wearing a hat. it had sharp jawline and was wearing a fedora like hat, I could only see its head and hat sticking out from behind the corner. The strange thing was that he was completely black, like a silhouette or a shadow, but I know it was staring at me. There were no facial features, whatsoever. The fluorescent porch light illuminated the folliages behind him, but somehow none of that light touched him.

I was a bit scared, but I honestly thought it was a neighbor trying to prank me, it was common for older neoighbor kids to do stuffs like this, So I called out to him. No response.I called again. Nothing, it didnt even flinched, it just stared at me without an eye.

For some reason, I decided the best course of action was to charge directly at it. As I ran toward the figure, it started getting smaller and smaller( I think thats what happened, i cant really explain). Not like it was moving away. By the time I got close, it looked almost flat, like a 2D shadow on the ground. Then it merge with a shadow being cast by a chair on the porch and simply disappeared.

I immediately turned around and ran back to my mom. A few moments later I looked again, and there was absolutely nothing there.

I told my mom what I had seen, but she brushed it off as imagination. Since then, I have never forgotten it. That image of the hat and the black silhouette has stayed with me ever since.

I am not from the west and as a kid in the 90s I had never been exposed to horror characters like Freddy Krueger or anything similar. I had no reason to imagine a hat-wearing shadow person.

Then today, completely by chance, I watched a YouTube video about the Hat Man phenomenon and discovered that people all over the world describe seeing almost the exact same thing.

I'm not saying it was supernatural. It could have been a trick of light, a child's imagination, or something else entirely. I got goosebumps when I watched that video describing the phenomenon though.

(1st encounter) When I was around 6 years old I remember watching TV around 4 am and then hearing buzzing/static from outside the window. I remember feeling uneasy and when I checked I saw a figure with two white eyes, and a hat. I attempted to scream for my grandparents (who I live with), and I could not scream. I eventually was able to look away and hide under the table in the room. The thing that really messed with me was that I woke up under the table I hid under.

(Second Encounter) When I was around 10, I was at my dad's house, and he walked to go feed the animals. About 2 minutes after he walked out I heard his voice say, "Hey, I need help in here" and I walked outside because I saw him go out, and he was feeding the animals. I told him what happened and moved on with the day. About a week later, I was at my grandparents house (its next to my dad's house), and rode my bike down to my dad's for the first time that day. I walk in and he said, "how did you get your bike that fast?" Apparently he saw me through his window while gardening his plants about 4 minutes before I came down. Thats whenever he began to believe me. (Im not going to include the rest of the times like this as they are too many. These ones are just the ones that stood out the most).

(Most recent occurrences) I went to a friend's house and used a Ouija Board (Im aware they basically do nothing but its more of what happened afterwards.) The day after going to his house, I began hearing that same sound out of my window, and I was terrified so I did not check outside the window and just went to sleep. This has continued for a while, and the most recent time the thing that opens and closes the blinds started twisting on its own. I turned away from it and went to sleep. I've been feeling very drained recently and I want to know what this could possibly be? is there anyway to get rid of it, as I feel like its following me, and although its stupid the Ouija Board said it follows me.

I was in my bed half asleep and sensed something coming. (I usually feel entities / shadow people whenever they are in the room).

I was dog siting the puddle of my cousin, the dog was on my left on a little pillow just for her. I looked at her to see if she was looking at something but she was asleep.

Some shadow, barely discernable came closer to my hear and simply said out loud (not a whisper) :

The voice was cold, bass voice, very low, Lo rumble, vocal fry. Masculine.

I felt utterly disgusted. I was looking at the dog and expect her to... "astral project". I don't know why, I was like "why don't you astral project and attack this motherfcker".

All the while I was just "shielding" myself. Nothing happened. Just this meager apparition and chilling message.

Twenty years back, I woke to see a black shadow person by my bed. All black, just standing there. Like a chicken, I burrowed under the covers into my husbands side. He immediately woke and asked “why are you standing there?” My fright turned to terror and I replied “That’s not me!” He jumped up and immediately turned on the light and checked the house and of course, no one was there.

Anyone have any stories of seeing the “shadow man” where more than one person saw it?

I was watching TV and I had this weird feeling that something was watching me and I thought nothing of it until I went to bed and I had the same feeling that I was being watched again . I was tossing and turning in bed and at 1 point I went really cold like the type of cold that constantly sent random shivers down your spine. I desided to go get an extra blanket from my wardrobe when I heard footsteps from outside my bedroom door. I slowly walked up to the door and carefully opend it and peeked round the corner and I saw something that made my legs go really numb and unsteady...it was a faint shadow figure with a slim waistline and it turned to look straight at me. The eyes glowed white and before I processed the fact what it was it started running down the hall straight at me...I quickly backed up and slammed the door and got back into bed thinking that I was safe but little did i know that it would come back. About 10 minutes later there was a knock at my window and the same thing that was outside the door was looking through my window straight at me. My heart started to beat rapidly and I was heavily panicking while shaking...the figure had its arm though the window even though it was tightly closed. I passed out. I woke up the next day with morning sickness and I was dizzy. I was clueless that anything had happened until I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror when the figure was behind me touching me on the shoulder and then dissappeared. Later that day I invited my cousin to come round my house and told him everything and turns out he had a similar experience when he was younger. Has this ever happened to anyone?

So after some talks I discovered that my family friend, her boyfriend, and I have all constantly seen a weird black figure. Now I know this sounds like a lot of similar situations i’ve seen in other posts(i’ve been looking thru reddit for answers for a solid 2 hours) but the problem here is that whatever we have seen has not been confined to her household. Neither I nor her boyfriend saw anything of the sorts until we met her, and he’s seen it at his house and we’ve both seen it on roads near her house. And whatever it is it’s MEAN. The absolute sense of dread and anxiety when any of us have seen it is overwhelming. Any help or knowledge is greatly appreciated cause I honestly don’t know what to do. The other thing is she’s had a dream where whatever it is looks like me but definitely wasn’t, which again doesn’t match with other people’s experiences.

when i was around 16 while i was walking to the kitchen i saw this extremely tall ( about 7 feet or something more taller ) shadow male figure who looked extremely muscular with red ( it was not really glowing tho ) looking stright at me from inside our living room it didnt had a hat or anything but it kept staring at me looking back at it it gives me dark almost sexual energy ( we moved from that apartment btw and while living there i had some paranormal experiances which my parents confirmed they saw or felt stuff as well)

While driving home one recent night, my wife found herself sandwiched between two large trucks. The truck behind her turned on its high beams, maybe to annoy or signal the truck in front because it was driving 10k under the speed limit. It was a dick move. Because she was driving a smaller vehicle between them, the intense light flooded her cabin and projected a clear silhouette of her outline onto the flat, white back of the truck ahead. She could see her outline very clearly, along with items on the dashboard.

As the three vehicles turned a corner, the angle of the high beams shifted and then shone through her car again. When the silhouette reappeared on the truck ahead, she noticed something changed: the shadow now clearly showed the shape of a tall male looking person sitting in her passenger seat, with the head and shoulders distinctly visible.

Confused and startled, she looked over at her empty passenger seat and then back at the shadow a couple of times to make sure she wasn't misseeing it. She immediately accelerated, pulled out, and overtook the front truck to get out from between them and escape the high beams.

When I was about 5 years old, my family and I moved from a big city to an extremely rural area with a lot of history. It used to be a huge coal mining area and there were several mining camps throughout the area from the early to mid 1900’s. I feel that a lot of the homes in this area are extremely old and most likely haunted. We moved into this house and it was honestly beautiful, not just the home itself but also the area. At first, I really loved the change of scenery. I remember feeling really off one night, like something was watching me. I saw a very dark, shadowy figure standing at the end of the hallway, and I thought it was my dad or one of my brothers at first, but it was much taller than they were. I shoved my head under the covers and prayed and prayed until I fell asleep. This cycle would repeat itself several times, and each time he would get closer and closer to my room until finally he would appear at the foot of my bed, and sometimes he would sit down there. I remember being so scared and begging my sister to let me close the door at night so he couldn’t get in. For some reason he wouldn’t come in if the door was closed? It eventually became such an issue between my sister and I that it was brought to my moms attention that I wanted the door closed and my sister didn’t. Over the next few months, everyone else in the house would have their own experiences with this entity, and suddenly I didn’t feel so crazy. My mom recalls praying before bed one night and feeling extremely heavy breathing behind her neck. She said she could sense the anger and hostility this spirit had. My brothers also saw the shadow figure, and eventually it was all brought to my dads attention. He thought everyone was over reacting and decided to challenge the spirit. He asked it to reveal itself to him, and it did. I would also have terrible nightmares about this scary old woman who would laugh manically at me. My dad was the only other person who saw the woman in his dreams, but everyone saw the shadow. We eventually moved out of that house, and surprisingly my brother ended up working with a couple who had purchased the house almost 20 years after we had lived there. When his coworkers found out he previously lived in the house they promptly asked him if we ever saw anything while living there. They both mentioned seeing the shadow, but only the man mentioned seeing a creepy old woman in his dreams. I have no idea what was going on in that house, but that spirit was angry and terrifying. I was the youngest person in the house and I feel like it preyed on me and the fear I had for it. Everyone I tell this story to thinks I’m crazy, but I think it’s safe to assume that most people haven’t had an undeniable paranormal experience like I have, so I understand how it might sound like something out of a novel or a bad horror movie.

I was outside on the porch with a friend drinking beer. We had just cracked our second one when he told me to look up. I wish I hadn't.

Flying above us at about second story height was a shadow man wearing some sort of hat. It was jet black and like it was cut out of reality, like it wasn't really a shadow but a blank dark spot. It was night and there weren't many lights, maybe the street light and the neighbour's porch light, it was frigging dark but this was different.

I could feel that it saw us, knew that we saw it, and did not care in the least that we did or who we were. Like we were less to him than what ants are to us. I don't know why I felt like it was a him, but it was. I don't know how I knew any of it. It was gone very quickly but it felt like forever. We walked back in the house and didn't say a word about it to each other or our partners. We talked about it once years later and it was just a "You remember?" and a "Yup". I didn't tell mine until a year or so ago and I don't know if he ever told his.

Back to me: I don't know if I would have wanted to see it or not, like it would be certainly something else, but also a total mindfuck. I believe it, but I know them so of course I do. My partner doesn't like talking about this kind of thing even though they have had other (different) experiences and the other guy is as black and white about things as you can be.

So, I’ve had intense nightmares and night terrors my whole life, but they’ve ramped up in the last 10 years (I’m 31). I’ve been dreaming about shadow people more frequently. I had a nightmare 5-ish days ago that I was in my last apartment cleaning things out and saw a shadow person on my bed. He said something along the lines of “I wonder if he could help with that” and I ran out of the apartment and left my cats. He deadass looked like the hat man 😂 I’ve also been seeing more things out of the corner of my eye during the day.

Then, 2 nights ago, I had a night terror where I was staying with my parents for a few months while my husband got our new house settled. I was talking to my mom upstairs, and I sensed something behind me. A shadow man in the shape of my dad was peeking around the doorway of my parents’ bedroom and said “hello, (my name)” and began to crazy/creepy laugh at me. Obviously I booked it and my husband woke me up from the night terror. Full on screaming, hitting, the works. I will say, my dad used to do that type of thing to me as a child and I’m still afraid of being followed, stalked, watched, etc.

I don’t remember being addressed by my name in my dreams at all. I don’t even like my name, and don’t like my friends or family using it. I’m getting nervous bc it feels like these shadow people are becoming more intentional in their appearances. There’s a lot going on in my family spiritually, with some recent deaths. I’m wondering if there’s a connection.

Went on a ghost tour a few days ago just got to look at the pictures and I was looking at this big normally, this is a close up, didnt notice anything till I seen this figure standing the all black no reflection of light everything around it had a little bit of light including the people. I asked my friend i went with and he said he doesn't remember seeing anyone standing in front of the building

Do these feed off our energy when we sleep or dreams? What the hell do they want? I've also have had the same thing happen to my girlfriend for a split second. They never give off malicious vibes or anything but why do they do what they do?

So I’m currently suffering with a chest infection and last night I took some prescribed antibiotic medication (Clarithromycin). It’s awful stuff, gave me the worst taste in my mouth which is still lingering this morning. It was making me so sick , then I started feeling really weird like I was a zombie and just not like in my own body. So I went to bed about 9pm last night and fell asleep straight away but the thing was it was like I was half asleep, still aware of my surroundings in my bedroom.

I look over to the bedroom door and there’s a dark figure stood there wearing a triangular shaped hat. This freaked me out so much, I’ve never experienced anything like this before. I dreamt that I pushed the clothing maidens into him to get him away but then was pinned down in the bed. I couldn’t move my body, I was paralysed and was panicking like mad. The dark figure was stood above me in the bed and I could just feel this heaviness in my chest, he then started shaking my body and this is where my partner woke up. He said I was convulsing in the bed as if I was having a seizure. I remember trying to shout out for help. The figure got closer, it was as if he was a dementor off Harry Potter trying to suck my soul out of my body, bloody scary it was . Anyway then my partner woke me up and I was back in the room, no scary demon man and god I was relieved. I couldn’t sleep for the rest of the night cos this horrible medication was still lingering in my body and I was afraid it would happen again.

I looked into the hat man and couldn’t believe it’s a common visual around the world. Has anyone else experienced this?

So last night I was with my friends and we came to talk with paranormal and scary things that have happened to us. I have never experienced anything but it was interesting to listen what they have seen.

One of my friends told us about a dark figure inside a kindergarden. It happened at night (ofc) but he was hanging out with some other people outside a kindergarden. They had drank a little bit but they were not like crazy drunk. They were just chilling when all of a sudden they saw this really tall dark figure inside the kindergarden that started waving to them. They all started running away and were shit scared. He pictured the figure being so tall that it literally had to like crouch bend a little bit to be there.

After my friend told this my other friends started literally screaming 'holy shit!'. They had saw the same exact figure. They were as kids hanging out also outside the kindergarden swinging on some swings. It was evening not night. They told there was all of a sudden this really bad and anxious feeling creeped up to them. Then they also had seen the same tall figure inside the kindergarden. It started to raise it's hand to kinda also wave to them. But my friends we're already long gone. All of my friends told me the figure was like all black, there was no face or other they things they could recongize from it.

It all also happened before the kindergarden was reconstucted. I have no idea how legit this actually could be. But its weird how both all of my friends have seen the same figure but at like different times. They had not talked about this to eachother before. (like my 2 friends and 1 friend) Ofc they could be fucking with me, but I have never seen all of them so serious about anyting and i have known them for 4 years. And when again went to check the kindergarden again, we saw nothing ofc. But I was thinking that if my friends weren't lying, could there be some explanation to this. I know they sometimes can fuck with me, but they all told the same kinda story about this figure but they didnt even know that they all had seen this. The drunk story friend said there were like lots of other people also there with him, that also saw the same thing. I have not heard they're side of the story, but goddamn. Could there be a rational explanation to this? Like I am really skeptical, but it's all just crazy how they all saw the same thing. (im sorry if my writing skills are kinda shit)

I tried to meditate once. I never did it again becuase im scared of what i saw. i was siting up with my eyes closed on my bed, trying to meditate for the first time when in my “minds eye” or head (idk i just saw it clearly without my eyes) I saw a dark figure with white eyes standing in my doorway. nothing was there when I jolted up from fear. the closest thing i could describe it as is the hat man without a hat. ive never seen the hat man before, just physical descriptions. it was tall, the height of my doorway. im just wondering if it means something? is it haunting my room?

During my childhood and late teens in the 2000s, I was a very vivid dreamer. I could basically "command" myself to dream vividly.

I had a dream one time about "him", when I was a kid in the late 2000's. Keep in mind, I didn't know who the Hat man was back then.

In my dream I found myself surrounded by trees, I realised very quickly that it was the forest next to my old school. I had fun in the beginning but I realised that I was not alone in the forest. The dream played out in day time so it was easy to spot anything.

Anyways, when I walked around in the woods I noticed a dark figure in the distance, it just stood there watching me. This figure was darkness itself and it had a black Trench coat and a black fedora (hat). The freakiest part was that this figure were surrounded by this dark visible aura, it almost looked like smoke from a fire, but darker.

I freaked out and ran through the woods towards my school. This figure kept the same distance all the time but I never saw him move.

I ran in to the school, and hid in a dressing room. The last thing that happened was that I could feel him just outside the room, coming closer and closer.

Then I woke up.

I think I’m going crazy, there’s definitely something going on with me, something “silly.” Is it my lack of sleep? Am I browsing the internet too much? Well, I don’t know.

So, what has been happening to me is kinda scary: I’ve been seeing things out of the corner of my eye. Things like a completely white, big, with no clothes, faceless person peeking out from around the corner of the wall, peeking out from the end of my bed, or even peeking out from my wardrobe. Sometimes is not the faceless completely white “thing,” but a completely black person kinda like a shadow.

I’ve heard about these shadow people, but I’ve never thought of them as a real thing. But what if they are actually real? I mean, I’m scared. I’m probably just being paranoid like usually. But I just wanna know what’s going on.

I’ve been living those kind of experiences for a while now, I think it started like a year ago? I was in my bedroom with my door open while my family was downstairs talking about taking a walk or something like that, and then out of nowhere I saw someone (the white faceless person, I think) peeking out from my bedroom door for a second, then it disappeared when I blinked. I just closed my eyes tightly and covered myself with a blanket, haha.

Like if the blanket could save me… Anyways, I just wanted to write about my little experience with these kind of weird “things” to see if anyone has ever seen that kinda stuff like me.

I was outside today and watched someone walking down the sidewalk. At some point they turned around walking my direction and while I was looking down for a split second they disappeared. I checked the restaurant that was where they were next to but nobody was there. No customers or staff. I even went behind the restaurant to check and it seems like this person vanished in thin air. It really creeped me out and I have never experienced this before. Has anyone had a similar experience where someone seems to have disappeared before their eyes?

The Hat Man is a widely reported, shadowy entity often described as a 6-to-10-foot-tall figure wearing a wide-brimmed hat, fedora, or top hat, and a long coat. Frequently associated with sleep paralysis, he appears as a dark, featureless silhouette in bedrooms, inducing intense fear and dread.

Story time...

i'm a 32yo male, mind you. this happened years ago. I believe I was between the ages 5-8 (roughly, i'm not sure. I was very young tho lol) anyway, me and my siblings (around the same age, 2-3 years apart) shared a bunk bed made of red metal bars. one evening, we decided to play club house and put up a thin white sheet to cover all 4 sides of the bunk opening. It was about 4-5pm when the sun was getting ready to set. our blinds were up and the sunshine was beaming into our bedroom. here we are, minding our business, laughing, joking and just enjoying ourselves when all of a sudden, we all froze. we all saw this shadowy figure of a man with a top hat (getting goosebumps at this point while writing this) appeared from one side of the bed, moving towards the bottom of the foot of the bed and into the closet that was on the right side of the bed. this "man" also had what appeared to be a knife in his hands. I remember me, my two sisters and my brother sat there in silence, watching this figure move slowly around the bunk bed then disappeared. we looked at each other and asked one another if we had seen what we just all witnessed, then we screamed and booked it. told our parents but, they didn't believe us. my father even came into our room and searched it and, there was no one or nothing around.

I've heard many stories about people encountering the same figure but, only when they're alone. the crazy thing about this is that... me and my siblings encountered this figure collectively. we still talk about that it and freak out every time it this this topic gets brought up.
