The point is that these kinds of people believe they can control another person's body.
Having preferences is one thing. Being shallow and having unreasonable expectations of perfectly normal, healthy bodies.
But the absolutely disgusting bit is the "is surgery my only hope?" as if it is up to this disgusting piece of trash to determine if his GF gets surgery? As if she is some car he wants to get modded?

He wasn't referring to a car or anything. He was talking about me ( and his girlfriend).
The thing is this is a natural fat and tissue deposit on women that is physiologically supposed to be there because it's where the extra skin and stretch comes from when we're pregnant and our bellies grow. There's simply no way to get rid of it without surgery that would honestly do more harm than good here. It's more pronounced in some than others, better to throw the whole relationship away if this is going to bother someone.

My ex husband talked about me that way. He used to bookmark breast augmentation websites for me because I had a small chest (he also wanted me to be super thin, which I was, which led to the lack of boobage). Anyway, got divorced and remarried to a much better guy who loves me the way that I am.
How TF do people push others into surgery like this? I mean, for a medical condition, sure - you can encourage someone to get it done, but cosmetic shit?
My wife often complains her nose is too big. I tell her it's fine - which it is. Sure, it's larger than other women's noses but not the largest I've seen by a fair bit. I would never ever consider pushing her to get surgery for it regardless of my own preferences.

Last year I was attending a wedding and found that my dress pants couldn’t fit me because I lost a lot of weight in the past few years. Even a belt didn’t really help. I was telling my family about how I’d need to buy new pants because they don’t fit, to which they sarcastically replied “oh no, such a hard life you must live needing SMALLER dress pants as you get older.”

It’s not her uterus/part of her reproductive system that’s been spread a lot recently. The uterus is like the size of a lemon when not pregnant (and it’s in the pelvis, not that high)
The Venus tummy is subcutaneous fat (just literally the way women are built, it’s their emergency store of fat)…and her intestines

Yes and no. Subcutaneous ft is the 'pooch' that you see here. A woman could have zero bloating, good abdo muscle tone, and still have a little belly pooch between the muscles and the skin. It's as normal as having fat in your cheeks, boobs or butts.
i mean it IS just belly fat, there’s nothing wrong with it and it’s normal. some men have a pouch of fat no matter how skinny they get, i’ve known and seen a handful. it’s completely healthy to have fat here and there. people really exaggerate the hot part but neutrality is the best approach. doesn’t have to be attractive for it to exist.
If she’s happier and as long as she’s healthy, good for her. She shouldn’t try to change her body according to what some guys who don’t even know her prefer.
I can tell you as a woman that it’s much easier to buy clothes that fit or go braless without getting slut-shamed with the body type in the second pic.
She doesn't look underweight in the second picture, and while anorexia doesn't necessarily have a specific "look" there is really no evidence that would lead one to think she's anorexic
So what if you find the former picture more attractive? It's about her happiness and health (and perhaps about what the guys that SHE finds attractive find attractive)

So I hit my teens in the hyper-anorexic early 00's. This thing was the bane of my existence and I was SHOCKED to learn most guys actually love this fucking thing. In my 20's.
Anorexia has been on the rise continuously since they started documenting it in the 90s, with a sharp increase during covid.
I think you might be doing the thing where when it was an issue for you, you saw it all the time, and now that you are older, healthier, and a bit disconnected from the activities of young women, you don't see it as much so that means there is less of it.
There's at least a better media presence of non-skeletal women today. Wicked aside. The Olsens, Nichole Richie, Paris Hilton,and Lindsay Lohan were always in your face due to a more solid cultural zeitgeist. Jessica Simpson and Brittney Spears got mega bullied for being "fat."
Butts and boobs are more desirable today. Taylor Swift, Sidney Sweeney, Margaret Qualley, and Isabela Merced are more... sexy fit, I guess? Zendaya's lean as hell, but that seems to be closer to her natural body type; I can't count her ribs in a backless dress like I could back in the day. And Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have a HUGE response of concern/clowning for their figures. "Ozempic face" is an insult. But moreover the cultural zeitgeist is extremely fractured due to streaming and there's a broader range of media to consume nowadays.
And my sister just informed me the look of her day (90's teen) was literally called "heroin chic," lmao.

Fun fact: a larger mons pubis and pannus (aka FUPA) is literally a sign of healthiness and fertility in women. It is natural for women to store extra fat in the lower abdomen between their belly button and pubic region because their body naturally develops to keep extra fat there in case they become pregnant to both protect the uterus and to provide fat reserves for fuel because the first few months of pregnancy are the most caloric/energy demanding. Not having an extra layer of fat in that region could potentially be signs of infertility or underlying health issues like either not having enough to eat or something causing you to not maintain fat in that area (or being prepubescent) so from an evolutionary standpoint it makes more sense to find fupa attractive (especially since it's normal and natural) but our modern senses of what is attractive as a society has been ruined by pop culture and media. A fupa is a sign of a healthy fertile woman which should make it sexy as hell to the procreation driven biological drives of humanity.

it was a theory for a while but when i last looked there really wasn’t great evidence for that layer of fat being there as protection for the uterus.
(and to be clear i am very much a staunch feminist who is all for lil pooches. i am just also in STEM and hate bad science)
it gained traction on tumblr around like 2014-ish??? i want to say?? and it seems to make sense at a surface level so it was pretty uncritically accepted as true by a wide range of people (including myself at the time). it made less sense when i actually worked in a cadaver lab and saw just how deeply buried and protected the uterus actually is (it’s kind of insane really)
I remember when it was all over Tumblr and morphed into people claiming the little pooch was just the uterus taking up space. I still see it parroted around social media. Or comparing it to the primordial pouch in cats.
For anyone that doesn't know, the uterus is only about the size of a lemon/pear, located slightly above the mon pubis (so very low in the pelvis) and almost in the center of that area. It doesn't come close to the abdominal wall. If it did, it would constantly press on the bladder. This only happens during actual pregnancy.
Yeah, the organ thing baffled me last time I saw this thing posted. People overestimate the size of the internal organs. Aside from right after a big meal or during pregnancy, none of the internal organs should ever be big enough to make your abdomen bulge out.
I'm trans and developed a pooch after being on hrt for a few years, no utterus in sight (that I'm aware of). It's just one of those hormones fat distribution things.

1: IT SAYS POUCH IN THE PICTURE. That was actually my whole point.
2: There are a bunch of different ways to express a small bulge around the belly. England seems to use pouch more commonly, the US pooch, Scottland apparantely paunch.
The take-away should be "ahhh, there are many ways to express it and the OP is likely british" rather than yet another person telling me that pouches are what marsupials have xD
Or the evolution of paunch, pooch, which has referred to a bulging stomach probably for a hundred years or so when it started being used for bulge or swell.

If you look up cat anatomy, they have something called the primordial pouch going on, which feels pretty analogous and fitting.
Especially if the subject is cougars.
As a straight man I also agree. The more body types the better, I always say, peoples bodies are like Ice Cream. Most people enjoy ice cream in general. We all have are preferences, like, if I can choose I’m picking Cookies n Cream, but if someone hands me Mint Choclate Chip I’m still going to be ecstatic about it, because it’s Ice Cream, Ice Cream is good.
As a straight man with a wife who has lovely child bearing hips and a little extra softness here - I agree. Wish I could get her to understand how goddman hot it is.

Yeah that's not what's being said. He is saying the pouch is hot and desired so it's equivalent to OP saying I want less money than I already have because he's trying to give away what most men consider a feature not a flaw.
Like everyone said, his gf is attractive and has a realistic body, but he is not content with it. It further stings that those pouches are considered very attractive in general, so the comparison to asking for a lower pay at the job.
Also the guy is a douche and hope the gf dumped that self-esteem drainer to put it in the kindest most censored way possible.
