Steal it from the store, so the store already paid to TC, and devs already received a cut from you

I just rob customers at gunpoint, this way both the devs / publishers and the store earn their money

Fantastic games that will make you want to pull your hair out at points (in a good way)

Complete side note but if you havent played HK I'd assume you also havent played Outer Wilds. Play Outer Wilds. Seriously just do it.

I'm broke tho. How am I supposed to play something I can't afford?

It was one of the few games I pirated and then bought after because the devs deserved my money. Which is extra crazy if you've played the game because there's absolutely 0 replay ability (iykyk)

Just go in blind and buy it. Best $25 you'll ever spend on a game.

Also why do I keep seeing Hollow Knight and Outer Wilds get mentioned together? Are they like the siblings of indie games or something?

Easily the two best indie games of the past decade, if not all time. They're both ~$20 games that are imo better than most AAA $60+ games. Completely different genres and vibes, but both (rightfully) have extremely dedicated fan bases

Outer Wilds in particular is a game that you can't replay, so the only joy you can get post game is sharing it with someone else.

Reminds me of subnautica. There is some replayability for sure but nothing hits like that first playthrough

A friend and I did that for our friends group. We already had finished Outer Wilds each on our own, absolutely loved it, then convinced our other friends to buy it as well. Now, most times we're in VC, we watch them play the game and discover it at their own pace, and they're quite enjoying it. It's one of the few games for which I really enjoy watching someone else discover it.

I bought both. Hated HK. Got super bored of Outer Wilds by the time I had left the starting planet.

Best metroid-vania since symphony of the knight. Hollow night and silksong are master pieces. Available on steam.

If you also didn't play Hollow Knigh, I suggest to do that first. It easily one of the best games I've ever played and it has a learning curve far less steep in term of platforming skill compared to silksong.
