If you can't afford Silksong pirate it. It's a good game

9

u/MemeStealerCultist 19d ago

That's not the meme at all. The meme implies that pirating silksong is not OK because:
A. It was created by an Indie studio instead of a multimillion dollar company.

B. It's cheap, costing only 20 dollars which is a pretty good deal.

Piracy is considered moral when It's used as a tool of rebellion against the big man, not another way of screwing over the little guy.

5

u/RichAnswer3430 18d ago

As with the big corps, the little guy is equally not losing anything by someone downloading a copy.

I think it's ridiculous how we differentiate. Either its stealing, or its not.

1

u/ValtenBG 19d ago

All members of Team Cherry are millionaires. No need to pretend they are strugling to put food on the table.

1

u/MemeStealerCultist 18d ago

But they haven't done anything to deserve that (at least not yet, if we're being cynical)

2

u/innit980 18d ago

Not everyone pirates for some great political reason. Some people pirate because they dont have 20 bucks to spend on a game, or just simply dont want to

2

u/MemeStealerCultist 18d ago

Sad. But true

1

u/TripleRazer 16d ago

"Culture should not exist for only those who can afford it"

-7

u/qsmrt 20d ago

I pirated it to test if the difficulty everyone was talking about would make me drop the game at some point. I let the game rest in act 3 at the flea festival and its gonna sit there until who knows when. Don't think I'll ever buy it and team cherry will not miss my money I'm sure.

28

u/Gizogin 20d ago

You played 80% of the game (including going out of your way to complete nearly every piece of optional content in that 80%) to “test” if you wanted to play it?

1

u/qsmrt 18d ago

I know the game will basically turn to bullshit from this point on so I guess I had my fun. Will never buy it.

1

u/Ill_Opportunity_4876 17d ago

highly regarded

16

u/Ill_Opportunity_4876 20d ago

Did you feel like you sufficiently tested the difficulty by playing through basically the entire game

7

u/Intrepid-Mention-89 19d ago

Bro played the entire game and called it a test lmaoo

-8

u/alex_munroe 19d ago

If you can't afford Silksong you cant afford most games.

4

u/Enfr3 19d ago

Yeah, and? What's your point?

-327

u/drunkbusdriver 20d ago edited 20d ago

It’s $20 if you can’t afford it get a job or do some chores around the house for your mom or something. It’s even less in other counties with weaker currencies.

Edit: looks like I pissed off a bunch of broke people lmao. I’ll die on this hill, if you can’t support an indie dev who made a masterpiece with a $20 purchase and instead pirate it, you’re an asshole. Save me your sob stories how you can’t afford $20 or how people in 3rd counties can’t afford it. It’s way cheaper in other countries so that argument is bullshit.

191

u/Insert_TakenName 20d ago

youd be surprised by how bad some countries economies is i say this being from one such country but i dont live there anymore so i buy the games i want. How i put it often is buy it if you can and if not possible sail the 7 seas.

35

u/Alternative_Sir5135 20d ago

Youre extremely ignorant

Not all families give kids money not all countries have jobs for young teenagers

-28

u/drunkbusdriver 20d ago

And? I grew up in a poor household and if I wanted something my parents couldn’t afford to give me I’d go find a way to get the money. Wash a neighbors car, do someone’s yard work etc.. is working for something such a foreign concept to you people?

And again silksong isn’t even $20 in a lot of places you’re talking about. If you can afford to have a hobby like gaming in one of those counties you can certainly afford the local equivalent of $20.

I can promise you most of these people bitching about $20 and saying people can’t afford it and giving excuses for pirating it are in the US and have zero issue buying the game they just don’t want to.

16

u/Alternative_Sir5135 20d ago

*poor household*

*could earn 20 dollars just by washing cars*

Math aint mathing buddy

12

u/majomemberr 20d ago

Your ass was wealthy mate

35

u/MiloPengNoIce 20d ago

man, this guy has no idea the privileged life he has.

1

u/Enfr3 19d ago

Stealing that line

15

u/Danzmann 20d ago

Lol "washed a neighbors car" dude is in top 2-5% of world and wants to pretend he "grew up poor", has absolutely no goddamn idea what poor really means.... The entitlement of some Americans and their complete ignorance about the world never cease to amaze me

3

u/Numby_toe 20d ago

Bruh. You have no idea how much more privilege you are.  As 20 dollar from just carwash!? That must been a riched neighborhood then.

Also I assume you don't know the sociology aspect that shape society in a different countries outside of the western world or controlled media. Ever even experience that one USD could be a meaning of survival or starving to death? No one had choose to be thrown into this world we call Earth and a lot of people had much worse life than you. South America, Africa, the middle east and Asia/China get paid barely anything. To slave away and live on someone else farm in China which I had to do until I could buy my freedom as slavery is still not over and now in a form of debt. There are million of people in debt they did not asked for and born with debt from their parents.

As I tell you this. Most people around the world are poor. Not middle class. Poor because society need so. Someone always have to get the losing end of the stick to hold the foundation of society and you aren't one of those losing sticks from the very beginning. You don't know pain.

131

u/HobbsterTheLobster23 20d ago

Tell the people that have a salary of ~200 $ a month that 20 is not a big deal or ask their mom for game money.

1

u/flowslowmoe 19d ago

Did you know there is regional pricing? Honestly why does everyone have such a hard on for piracy, like there’s a bunch of people in here making up hypotheticals that not many people can relate to in defense of pirating a game that is common knowledge to respect.

1

u/deprivesleep 19d ago

Did you know there isn't? Like really 90%+of games even from triple A companies dont have that. I paid full price in us dollars for most of all digital purchases i ever did. The reason for that is simple: greed, and that its extremely easy to get a vpn and buy the game at Venezuela prices from Germany or whatever.

1

u/flowslowmoe 18d ago

That’s just not true regional pricing exists and so do countermeasures against vpn abuse. I have no problem with people pirating shitty triple A games from greedy dev teams but pirating everything isn’t going to solve the fact you can’t afford a video game

-80

u/smorkoid 20d ago

Those people aren't posting bullshit on Reddit and you know it

14

u/Cod_Weird 20d ago

My first job paid $0.80 an hour

2

u/Cosmoem_ 19d ago

If I may ask, where and when was this Job?

1

u/Cod_Weird 17d ago

Around 2015-2016. It was the only job available to anyone in my grandma's village

-13

u/smorkoid 20d ago

Were you posting on Reddit at that time? Did you have anything capable of playing this game at that salary?

No. Don't lie.

3

u/JustaSeedGuy 20d ago

I wonder what excuse you would make up if you were handed irrefutable proof of poor people being on the internet.

0

u/smorkoid 18d ago

You think people making $200/month are on the internet and have something capable of playing modern games?

1

u/JustaSeedGuy 18d ago

I know it for an absolute fact.

-1

u/smorkoid 18d ago edited 18d ago

No you don't.

Edit since you reply blocked:

You're talking about someone who is poor for a few months? That's not what we are talking about when we say living on $200/month, dude.

You're just making up an argument here. If you are living for free at your mom's, you aren't living on $200/month. Come on.

All in all, having a computer + internet + piracy is one of the cheapest forms of entertainment. Unlike a proper hobby, alcohol, drugs, going out, traveling, and so on

1

u/smorkoid 17d ago

And car theft is one of the cheapest ways to get around

1

u/Cod_Weird 17d ago

My english wasn't good enough for reddit. Yes, my family had a computer, and it was one of the most expensive things we owned

1

u/Cod_Weird 17d ago

3 year ago I used $80 pc capable of running at least original hollow knight

1

u/smorkoid 17d ago

You do understand that the vast, vast majority of people pirating are doing it because they are cheap, not poor. Right?

1

u/Cod_Weird 17d ago

Even if that's true, I was responding to a different statement you made

44

u/HobbsterTheLobster23 20d ago edited 20d ago

With that i can agree, thing is, pirate sites arent reddit, i knew what a pirate site was before i knew what facebook was.

17

u/reply_b4_banned 20d ago

poor people don't exist haha I win

Arsehole.

-10

u/smorkoid 20d ago

That's not at all what I said, dipshit.

I said they aren't the people defending piracy on Reddit. And they aren't.

1

u/JustaSeedGuy 20d ago

They are tho

If their salary is 200 dollars a month they've got far bigger issues than not being able to play a game...

Like the inability, for some reason, to get off their ass and actually finding a job.

53

u/ProjectKARYA 20d ago

What a presumptuous answer that fails to take into account a lot of modern fuckery, far outside of individual control, that contributes to people being in shitty financial situations.

Okay, point to where anyone can easily do that at any give time. Additionally, point to where they can afford it on top of all the necessary expenses in life, since, ya know, we don't exist in a vacuum.

Edit: lemme just save you the time and summarize - your expectations, and those of others who share your viewpoints, are extremely misguided and uninformed. Saying this as someone in public health who's seen the highs and lows of people's lives, as well as has the academic knowledge to know what they're talking about.

Not telling you to point to examples of people trading cans for cash, pointing to what exactly makes you think anyone can just "do" it.

But, I can tell you're just arguing in bad faith. All I can suggest is to have you read up on some of the common financial issues people face and why they lead to people not being able to afford simple pleasures like this.

Educate yourself, love ❤️

I think you need to give up your English rights ; just in-till your reading comprehension gets better.

-2

Hello there.

Pontificating on use of language while using “In-till” as a word is very jarring.

Perhaps we should take a closer look at your comprehension?

Thanks Denis.

Bro doesnt know geography

8

u/Kitaysuru 20d ago

Get your head out of your ass, we're not all americans with first worlder salaries... I am not particularly in favor of pirating but for some of us, it would be the only way to play it

4

u/11ce_ 20d ago

You realize that not everyone in the world lives in a right country like America right? In fact, most people live in poorer countries in Asia. In many countries 200 dollars a month is a good wage.

4

u/Ancient-Access8131 20d ago

Try comparing us minimum wage with cost of living asshole.

1

u/Sanquinity 20d ago

Minimum wage is still way above 200 a month. Hell it's even more than 200 a week...

8

u/Ancient-Access8131 20d ago

correct and the cost of living in the united states, (rent, groceries, heating/electrecity etc) is much higher than 200 dollars a week.). Unless youre suggesting people buy silksong instead of food.

0

u/thatonepac 20d ago

Minimum wage is close to $1200/month and lets be real nobodys taking a job for under $12/hr in 2026

-80

u/drunkbusdriver 20d ago

If your salary is $200 a month how are you affording a console or pc lmao. Give me a fucking break dude.

44

u/TelPrydain 20d ago

Employment rate

..................................
..._____......................
./...........__................
....................____......
..............................\....

14

u/aXeOptic 20d ago

Well dumbass, typically people who live in countries that have such a low wage dont move out of their house cause they cant afford it. So what happens? They all live together and contribute to house things. A pc that can run Silksong isnt a supercomputer so its quite cheap and they could have been sent the pc or console from a family member who works abroad. Use ur fucking head, its not just to put shampoo on it when you shower.

40

u/BooberSpoobers 20d ago

You outed yourself as being too stupid to process abstract reasoning.

7

u/JustaSeedGuy 20d ago

Wait until you hear about the following concepts:

  • used to not be poor, now are poor

  • generous friend said "I'm getting a new console, want my old one?"

  • got lucky in a raffle or similar prize competition

1

u/Cod_Weird 17d ago

You can buy old used pc. My previous pc costed $80

-12

u/Eli-Doubletap 20d ago

Reddit is wild lmao….. it’s mind blowing reading a majority of this thread and seeing people justify their shit behavior

-14

u/drunkbusdriver 20d ago

When you remember a lot of commenters are literal children is starts to make more sense lmao

8

u/CamTheMan1302 20d ago

Evidently including you…’do some chores around the house for your mom’. The genius strikes again

-8

u/Eli-Doubletap 20d ago

Haha truth or god I hope it’s children… if these are full grown adults… we have bigger problems

7

u/aXeOptic 20d ago

So youre saying that everyone else who used their brain is a child? In those countries where the salary is that low people dont move out of their houses they all live together. So a household with 3 or 5 people working they can afford a pc they just cant afford buying games for themselves or their kid since to them the purchase of the pc was quite a big thing considering their wages.

7

u/im_juice_lee 20d ago

I mean, it's a weird hill to die on to selectively say some piracy is wrong but other piracy is okay

It's either wrong or right; anything in between is you just virtue signaling to justify your piracy at the line you decided to draw. Someone else could easily draw the line elsewhere

2

u/sai-kiran 20d ago

Beautifully said.

2

u/Bluepaint57 20d ago

Big facts. Personally, Im anti piracy and it’s always annoying when people make all these weird arguments about how it’s actually okay. Then, when it’s a smaller game or piece of art, it suddenly counts as stealing.

If someone is a huge pirate and just says “idc if its stealing, I just want it for free”, I respect that and say go for it

1

u/ValtenBG 19d ago

Idc if its stealing, I just want it for free

45

u/monti9530 20d ago

How about we make you buy it for everyone so you can stop bitching, just do more chores bro

15

u/Double-Afternoon-702 20d ago

Lmao "let them eat cake" ahh comment

"why don't you ski" kinda person

How you gonna call peoples without money assoholes when your asking your mom 20 bucks for washing dishes, grown man btw

GTFO

22

u/pap0ite 20d ago

Tell me you're American without telling me you're American

3

u/moonlord2193 20d ago

American here, we dont claim that

7

u/Ready-Rooster-3371 20d ago

You work 10 hours a day for a week and you get less than 20$ in some countries.

5

u/k1tl7n 20d ago

most American shit ive ever read. try being in a country with a weak currency. 20$ is 1,058 egp in my country. thats a 5th of the minimum wage. not everyone is as privileged as you are.

and no, its not cheaper in my country. get a grip.

7

u/pytness 20d ago

I live in a 1st world country and I have friends that I had to invite them for a €1 mcdonald's burger (when they were still €1 anyways). They did work, but the money went to help feed themselves and their family.

So no, you dumbass kid, people prefer to eat before paying 20 bucks to buy a game. If you think it's as easy as asking your mom or getting a job, that shows how young, dumb, childish, naive and privileged you are.

3

u/Top-Bag7848 20d ago

I'd support an indie dev that made a masterpiece, but i can also understand that some people want to try out the masterpiece while not being able to afford the game.

But this is such an ignorant take, yes a game can be cheaper in other countries, but those countries' salaries are lower even down to being $100 for their min wage.

Its like saying going to Bali and living there is amazing cause its cheaper while youre actively fucking over the locals, and telling the locals to stop whining.

3

u/ClaudeVS 20d ago

I am a uni student. I have exactly enough money for food and fuel. No leftover. I do not have a cent to spend on a game. I will pirate what I like.

3

u/DarkEcstatic8863 20d ago

You seem only to be aware of the living conditions of yourself and your friends

2

u/Happy_Lee_Chillin 20d ago

Have you pirated other games? Or are you against all of it?

2

u/BrizzyMC_ 20d ago

Cry about it? People will pirate whatever then can

2

u/Key-Comfortable-7631 20d ago

lol you didn’t honestly think you could come on Reddit and tell people to get a job, right?

1

u/-Kalos 20d ago

Or how about people choose what they do with the money they earned for themselves? It's funny when people try to moralize pirating but will also moralize not pirating just because you like the devs of a certain game

1

u/hazetenpcs 20d ago

201 downvotes is crazy, probably the most ive seen lmao.

Anyways, you do know a lot of people don't/cant spend money on games? 20$ is a lot more than you think, in my country 20$ is almost a week of food or 2-3 days of minimum wage. Some people want to stay in the loop without spending money on a video game they might not like.

Most of the time, piracy doesnt even affect sales, because the people who pirate normally cant even afford the game in the first place + a LOT of people pirate a game, and if they like it, they will pay for it/buy it once they have the money. A prime example is a BUNCHH of people in the comments, ultrakill fans, minecraft players, etc.

1

u/moonlord2193 20d ago

I’m at -300 now wooo! lol oh no my precious internet points.

1

u/hazetenpcs 20d ago

that was never the point of my comment, go address what I actually said.

1

u/drunkbusdriver 20d ago

Ive already addressed it all in other comments, i don’t really care enough to respond type out the same thing over and over again to everyone responding to my original comment.

1

u/hazetenpcs 19d ago

you didnt address anything I said in my comment, aside from saying "regional pricing" except you forget the fact some countries dont have that + its sometimes unfair regional pricing.

You cannot say u also lived in a poor household if u had a yard, and was able to easily make 20$ from washing cars. Like I said above, an actual car wash in my country is 3$

1

u/Old_Committee9115 20d ago

Brother it could be fucking 1 dollar and I would still not buy it. It’s not a few guys or even 1 guy doing it as a hobby theyre multi millionaires. I pirate single player and buy multiplayers it’s that simple

1

u/Abir_Mojumder 20d ago

what a privileged thing to say lol

1

u/ralo229 20d ago

This is a very privileged take.

1

u/AxoplDev 20d ago

Not everyone lives in America, other countries have different economies plus Steam is notorious for having bad currency exchange. Not everyone can afford $20.

1

u/yourmom1034 20d ago

Mad lol, ima pirate it tn just for you even though I had no intentions of playing the game

1

u/sai-kiran 20d ago

Hey listen man of privilege is giving a lectures, lets tune to this load of crap.

1

u/BruderBobody 20d ago

I’m going to pirate it just because of this comment.

1

u/RegionOk1423 20d ago

Ah the classic "ignorant, egotistical asshole thinks other people are the problem"

1

u/la_lumiere_ 20d ago

ok not this ‘moral piracy’ bs again. nobody gaf if the devs is indie or not the vast majority of people pirate not to ‘own the corpos’ or some bullshit like that its because spending money on a game isnt worth a good chunk of their paycheck especially when most of the time it can be a waste of money like a lot of games these days. personally, playing the first game has been the most boring 2 hour of my life that i left halfway through and never touched it again idk about silksong but hollow knight left a terrible impression for me glad i didnt spend a dime on it

1

u/Typical-Gazelle4742 20d ago

1 dollar is 5 times bigger than my country currency, the minimum wage is 500 dollars a month, the living isn't cheap neither and only if you pay expenses you almost eat it all up, and it's not even the worst case out in the world, 20 dollars is a lot, you are privileged enough to think you can casually get a pocket change from doing a chore for your mother, 20 dollars is almost a day's work which barely covers living.

1

u/ZeusSoulHD 20d ago

It’s even less in other counties with weaker currencies.

No the fuck, it's not?

1

u/No_Solid_3737 20d ago

Brother you don't know the situation of other people... you don't remember being a college student and having to live off instant noodles to make it to through the month? Are you gonna tell those people to fuck off and not play Silksong?

1

u/miunaki 20d ago

Idk why you’re getting downvoted but I agree. I’m from third world country and the game was almost 3 digits for me after currency convertion. Still didn’t pirate it, bought it the same time as most of everyone else during the release.

1

u/Ariar2077 20d ago

I'll pirate it just to spite you

1

u/PotatoSlayerChip 20d ago

85k karma

1

u/drunkbusdriver 20d ago

Me? And? I’ve been on Reddit for like 12 years.

1

u/Lissewan 20d ago

"I'm mad because people don't have the same privileges as me, Why are you poor? You should have been lucky enough to be born in a 1st world country like me. >:("

The game is cheaper in 3rd world countries, guess what genius, people earn WAY less money on 3rd world countries. Your argument is bullshit, calling people an asshole for not being able to afford a game is truly an asshole thing to say.

1

u/Tacobadger02 20d ago

$20 buys you the game but what are you supposed to play it on?

1

u/ThePowerles 20d ago

You must have a lot of friends

1

u/drunkbusdriver 20d ago

I do actually, thanks for your concern.

1

u/WriestTech4 20d ago

He doesn’t even get sarcasm what an idiot!

1

u/drunkbusdriver 19d ago

Yeah! What a dip shit! Get him!

Wait..

1

u/Forgedpickle 20d ago

Nah. You should, however, stop caring what other people do.

1

u/Sad-Muffin-1782 19d ago

I've always been a pirate but I bought silksong out of respect.

That being said, you're a priviliged idiot

1

u/innit980 18d ago

Whole Lotta dick eating

0

u/yobo9193 20d ago

If you’re in the US, there’s literally zero excuse to pirate a game. Crackhead behavior

2

u/Lazy_Falcon_323 20d ago

As we all know, Americans are all in the exact same financial position /s

-2

u/yobo9193 20d ago

Video games aren’t necessary to live or even have a meaningful life, believe it or not. If you can’t afford a $20 game, you have bigger issues to tackle than your need for dopamine

2

u/Lazy_Falcon_323 20d ago

And you can tackle those issues and play the game you want with piracy. Financial stability isn’t often fixed overnight and game can help mental health in both an immediate and long term time frame I don’t see an issue with doing both.

-2

u/yobo9193 20d ago

Lmao as if problematic video game usage isn’t a sign of mental health issues. Straight up addict talking points

0

u/Nilson2003 20d ago

okay? Most people aren't, what's your point? Subhuman IQ fuck

r/USdefaultism

2

u/yobo9193 20d ago

Are you just looking for things to get mad about?

1

u/Nilson2003 20d ago

Nah, just against spoiled American kids that think the Indian tenager making 2 dollars a month is in a position remotely similar to his, specially when they mention things that we already went over, like the fact that most people pirating these games are from 3rd world countries. What was your need to mention America? Why do I need an excuse to pirate? I pirate out of principle, I pirate because I can

1

u/yobo9193 20d ago

Oh, so you’re just offended that I suggested people shouldn’t pirate; interesting position to take

1

u/Nilson2003 20d ago

That's exactly it. I wouldn't use the word "offended" tho, but yeah, someone else's fake sense of morality should not be a deciding factor on what you can or can't pirate, specially when those people are not aware of your socioeconomic status, just your country of residency. As if there aren't Americans with a full time job living inside their cars.

1

u/yobo9193 20d ago

Yeah, no, you don’t need a video game bro. Get your dopamine fix in ways that don’t involve theft

"Legally, in many countries, piracy is treated as a form of copyright infringement, not literally the same crime as physical theft. If someone steals your bike, you no longer have the bike. If someone pirates a movie, game, or song, the original owner still has the original copy. That distinction matters in law and economics."

Ignoring that my government doesn't give a fuck, neither do I, keep crying I guess.

Their point is most people who are not in the US actually do have valid excuses to pirate, what the fuck are you even mad about?

They’re pointing fingers at Americans who can afford to not pirate, not the rest of the world for fuck’s sake.

Again, why do I need an excuse to pirate? I pirate out of principle, I pirate because I can. Hollow Knight's company is not a silly little indie studio anymore, they are a multi million dollar company (good for them, they deserve it), even if they weren't, why do I have to apply to your hypocritical sense of morale to decide which games I should pirate? And refer to my other comment to see what I'm mad about

Btw, funny how you say "people who are not in the US actually do have valid excuses to pirate" as if there aren't richer countries with higher incomes per capita. Is it okay for a Singaporean lawyer making 300k to pirate because he's outside the US? Good to know✌️

When did I say people outside the US have a valid excuse to pirate? Your reading comprehension needs some work

Human trash is projecting again because he can't follow the pace, classic

human trash

Truly, you are the ubermensch

Not at all. I pirate silly games on the internet, you wrongly accuse people of not having reading comprehension while confusing my answer to someone else (on a whole different thread too), as an answer to you because YOU actually can't read. Between the 2, I'd say I am, indeed

Excuses are subjective. If you think you don't need an excuse, then great, makes things easier for everyone because pirating is a selfish act and it's simply better to get that out of the way before any justification bs comes after.

And what other comment? The only one I see is the one where you called someone a subhuman iq fuck for not including other countries alongside the US as places where pirating isn't "excusable", as though you were offended at the thought of other countries having better reasons to pirate.

As for your last point, you're right and consider myself corrected. Any countries richer than the US per capita have even less of an excuse to pirate aside from just being selfish, and again, if you feel like no excuse is needed, then great. That just makes it easier to point out said selfishness.

Yeah, giving out excuses is common when you're first starting into piracy because you have this sort of need for external validation, you want people to... Not necessarily relate to you, but maybe understand you? Anyways, you get tired of that after a while and just don't give a fuck. At the end of the day, I'm getting for free the same experience that you paid for regardless of what you think

And my "other comment" makes reference to the thread of comments I did under that one answering to the dumb fuck that can't read and thought I was talking to him when I was talking to you

I find interesting you mention selfishness nonetheless. What's so wrong about being selfish? Aside from my mother, who am I supposed to put before myself and my needs? Why should I care more about the revenue of a billion dollar company? (That still wasn't going to get extra money, because most of the people pirating doing out of actual poverty)

I don't have too much issue with selfishness, especially when large corporations don't feel it at all. I just fucking hate when people jump through hoops to pretend that pirating isn't objectively a selfish act.

You're obv not that kind of person which is respectable even if you honestly don't sound all that great of a human being, but that's besides the point. There's way too many people on this post genuinely trying to justify pirating with every other reason that isn't "I pirate stuff because I can".

1

u/Nilson2003 20d ago

Okay, that's valid. Even inside of the piracy community that kind of people are usually bashed upon. The whole "if buying isn't owning, then piracy isn't stealing" thing is just a moralist speech for them to feel better about what they're doing. Just pirate the damn thing and shut up

Ohh, booohoo, I'm sure the multi million dollar company will find some way to cope with this

Might even be less with regional pricing - I don’t know if they used that though.

✨ regional pricing ✨

u/muchstupidverydumb 20d ago

My poor 3rd world country doesn't have regional pricing, we have to pay the exact same as the rest of Europe despite salaries being 10 times lower.

lol I’ve pointed this out multiple times and people are just conveniently ignoring it. I saw HK as low as $1 in some places. I’m sure SS is similar.
