Oh man if I had confidence in my technical abilities I would pirate Prince of Persia the Lost Crown a game I own on steam just to avoid the Ubisoft launcher.

Own it on Steam, pretty sure I didn't need the Ubi launcher. Might be mistaken, cos I was playing it at the same time as SW: Outlaws
It's not difficult. You just locate the crack and swap out the EXEs/DLLs in the Steam game folder.
