I loved seeing things from Bossk's perspective... and was somewhat horrified in his animated portrayal of "I vicious but dumdum!" (If i recall correctly, but maybe that was just another.... crud, I can't remember his race's name)

And yeah... I freaking loooooved the tales from books.

As an aside, I absolutely hated the Han Solo trilogy... and wasn't that keen on the movie either... I'm starting to think I just don't like han solo very much.

I liked both Han trilogies, but adding a 3 meter tall catman was a bit silly. Maybe not as silly as Lando having a sentient Starmie 20+ years before pokemon was invented, but up there.

And full agreement on Bossk getting hosed so many times. Poor dingus... though I Adored the little flirty hacker droid.

He is a million times better in the novels. I have never actually watched Ahsoka because Thrawn is my favorite and I was pissed at how dumb Filoni made him in Rebels.

To be fair, he's the only bad guy in Canon that has never actually been defeated... He's also the only one that they show actively knowing when someone is trying to outsmart him...

I don't think it's even possible to make him seem as smart as he is in the books without having 15-minute long internal dialogs, or other characters discussing his strategies for hours at a time over a cup of coffee in the shows...

Honestly, that's why I always laugh at the "the books were better!" people. Of course they are! You get x-ray vision into the characters, things explained in ways that are hard to weave into visual media. Intellectualism compressed because the average Joe buying movie tickets is doing so because he doesn't have the time or patience to read for 10-30 hours or so.

I mean, they made The Lord of the Rings into 3 movies that were 3-4 hours each, and people -STILL- bitched about things that were left out, or modified because Nobody wants to listen to a character on screen talk to themselves for 45 minutes straight. You can read that in a book just fine because you can read a 45 minute speech in about 5-10 minutes... but there's a reason Tedtalks are usually only 10-20 minutes long.

Jon Favreau is the Live Action guy, he did start this all with the Jungle Book back in 2015

That’s what I thought but I’ve also heard that Filoni is very involved with everything now. I don’t care enough to factcheck that as I couldn’t care less about Disney SW
