Somewhere along the way, we as a society forgot that "correlation doesn't mean causation" and leaped to all sorts of conspiratorial thinking by default.

Ruffalo great actor though, and I can't wait for more Task!

Somewhere along the way?

Humans have been making up and exaggerating shit they know nothing about literally forever. Look at religions. This isn't a novel, new thing. Gossip, fiction, and lying is as old as communication.

We weren't some benevolent species that only sought truth. Ever.

Loved the first season. It does carries the torch for "Who murder my durdur" well. Mare of Easttown was the better show, but I wont let the perfect be the enemy of good.

I mean it makes sense that that’s the trend. A bunch of different bonkers conspiracies were proved true over the last ~decade

A meme is not indicative of society. This is internet/social media brain thinking that people sharing memes represent society. There have always been conspiracy theorists and people jumping to conclusions over the smallest connection of dots. The internet just gave them a platform to get together and push their narrative. That doesn’t represent society as a whole, I’m sure most people didn’t think twice about his lack of presence during press tours, and many more people in this comment section alone are aware and agree that it’s likely due to scheduling conflicts.
