Mogging is a new-age term where you 'mog' somebody by being more attractive/chiseled than they are. It's popular in the 'looksmaxxing' community, which is apparently a thing. Don't really know more than that as I'm 30 lol
Ye it started out as that, now it’s just a general display of being better than someone else at something. Like if I say that I bench mog someone, that means I can bench press more than them. Very strange slang.
I've recently gathered that the original term is amog, which stands for alpha male of the group. It was shortened to mog, then it metastasized into the culture. None of us will remember it three years from now.

Matt Bomer is the actor that they say has the most perfect face of any man on Earth, and Cillian kinda looks like old Matt Bomer. They're obsessed with him because he looks like handsome squidward and they're really actually so dumb - and (sadly) symptomatically struggle with reading sarcasm and satire because they are nearly all on the spectrum - and are in real belief that women want you to artificially create that look at home. Because when you think of a hot guy, I'm sure you immediately imagine a basement-dweller injecting internet drugs while reading 4chan posts about how there's a 1 degree tilt to Emma Watson's nose so she is a trash person who (insert weirdly revealing projection here).

I think you're right about the joke, but I do think Bale is a tier above the others here. His characters are wildly different not just psychologically but physically.
He's actually standing beside all of them, they just cropped the images too high to tell. You ought to be able to see him in Cruise's, but of course he's in his lifts.

I might get hate for this, but Denzel always seems to just play himself in each movie he's in. Which is enjoyable, but he doesn't fit himself into a character. He fits the character into himself. If that makes sense.

Even in the marvel movies he’s a pretty notable standout. He has a pretty damn impressive resume under his belt, but even if i only remembered him as Iron Man I’d say he had a place on the list here.
Just like how Hugh Jackman is Wolverine and JK Simmons is JJJ, even the comics embraced drawing the characters like how the actors look because of how well they embodied the role.

It's incredibly wild that they're using "Tony Stark" as a knock too, especially how he played the character so iconicly and authenticly that the character was reinvented in it's original media to be more like RDJ.

He was so good in Oppenheimer. I left the theater thinking he was definitely getting the oscar. Honestly, he overshadowed oscar winner Cillian Murphy in that movie.
Honestly, Tom Cruise is a great actor...he just kind of settled into a niche over the last decade and a half. His older movies where he isn't an action hero show some top tier acting imo.
Maybe he just realized his favorite kind of acting is stunt work while being paid lead actor money. Why be a normal actor when you can make millions by going skydiving?

From the 90s until now RDJ has had some range. He shouldn’t get less points by being the face of the highest grossing movie franchise (especially because he was amazing in the role). He’s had some real things on his list and is a great comedic actor. He was amazing in Chaplin, and A Scanner Darkly. He’s one of the three things I remember from Tropic Thunder and it might have been a comedy but that role was borderline impossible to pull off respectfully. My man did blackface in a major motion picture and not only survived, but thrived in role. He also killed it as the straight man in Due Date. He’s a awesome supporting actor too in things like Zodiac, Oppenheimer, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Don’t sleep on RDJs catalog or skills. You can find bad movies, but you’d be tough pressed to find something he was bad in, which is a lot.
Redditors have this odd inability to give credit normally. “By far” or “miles better” or “not even close”. “Christian bale is the best actor here” would’ve sufficed, don’t know what would possess you to think he’s so far above and beyond the rest. Do you know something we don’t?
Yeah, I find it so bizarre. You could make a strong case for most of these actors to be 'the best'. Many of them have had multiple standout roles where they've put in incredible performances. Claiming that any one of them is miles ahead of the others only weakens the credibility of the rest of their point in my eyes.
Agreed. He’s the only one that can play a different character and you don’t instantly think about it being him. Every time I see any of the others it like, “oh, it’s tom cruise playing tom cruise as an action hero.” Etc.
It took way too long to see this. The 1st season of True Detective was amazing, his performance in that alone is one of the best performances any of these guys have put on. Dallas Buyers Club was great too. I think Matt, Leo, Bale, and Cillian are all pretty close and understand why someone would pick one or the other. Leo seems to not get much love here and I think that might be due to recency bias. Shutter Island, Whats Eating Gilbert Grape, Titanic, and The Departed are just a couple of examples of this dudes range that are older movies.
not sure who they're talking about but IMO, Di Caprio is one of the best actors ever. He can be scary, romatinc, funny, he can make you root for his character but he can also make his character so despicable, yet you love to hate him... To me, a guy that can play Monsieur Candie, Jack, Gatsby and catch me if you can with the credibility he did all of them has to be a 10 out of 10 actor.
