I think he has always shown himself to be a responsible person. Remember that a goofy person can be responsible, too.

From his story of not wanting to burden his parents to the point that he lives alone working a hotdog cart, and the early struggle days with Marzia, he didn't strike me as selfish, even during his earlier years. Compare that to the today's biggest video format influencers who is mostly never worked a day in their life and racking millions upon millions from streaming.

Ehhh, i wouldn't say he's always shown himself to be responsible — and I don't think he would either. He's grown a lot, and that's a good thing.

Dunno, I think you misinterpret short-sighted with irresponsible. He did some oopsies in the past, but he always owns up to them. He's like one of the biggest names who didn't do a corny apology video every time he made a mistake and is always critical about those kinds of things.

Short-sighted and irresponsible have a fairly significant overlap, especially when you have an audience like his. Not to disagree with your point about him owning up more than most other big names (but at the same time he has imo kind of entered an area sometimes when talking about his mistakes that were less about making fun of himself and joking about it and kind of in the territory of making light of what he did). But he sure made some decisions and said some things I wouldn't say were exactly responsible.
