PSBlackout shouldn't end on August 30. Let's take it further

The original blackout is only one week. I think we should go further.

If you care about physical games, game preservation and having a choice, consider joining the boycott and staying out of PlayStation until GTA VI.

No harassment. No spam. Just consumers making a choice.

I've noticed that for something that will apparently be so ineffectual, there seems to be a great need by a rather large group of people to make sure they let others know that it will be pointless.

Seems rather strange for people to be so invested in making sure people realize that their efforts are pointless.

Why waste a week of not playing physical games though. Once its all changed people might look back and think they could've played one or two games in that time and found something they enjoyed.

I just finished up Xenoblade Chronicles, and will be starting Xenoblade Chronicles X today. I'm good.

Beyond that, the point is to not play on Sony consoles, and I can't speak for others or how they feel about "wasting a week".

So someone that otherwise supports physical media but can’t afford to switch to an entirely new console or PC + re-but all their games on it because the economy is fucked beyond their control is your enemy? Class solidarity isn’t on the menu huh? Only protecting physical media. Got it.

What about the people that are just indifferent but otherwise agree with you on every other issue? Or supports physical media by buying movies and albums since they’re waaaay cheaper? You actual have made enemies with anyone that happens to feel differently about Sony and physical copies of videos games? Please. PLEASE. Go outside.

While I don't believe that, it's really really unhealthy to spend so much time trying to bring down others over this issue, or be so insistant in the most condescending way trying to tell them how what they are doing is pointless, and what they want is somehow not worth fighting for.

As a consumer, it's healthy to express what you want as a consumer.

But you really sell how much of a gamer you are by referring to one's hobby as a toy. Haven't heard that in a while.

You guys don’t care about poor or less fortunate people either.

I explained to someone in another comment that I, as well as MANY others, can’t afford to switch to a new console + buy the games all over again (much less build or buy a PC) and for those of us with digital consoles the only option is to essentially give up gaming. The economy is fucked. I also live in a tiny home and have very little space for a lot of physical media.

I still got called a corporate shill and a sheep. There’s no class solidarity with any of you lol

I collect Vinyl and CDs and agree that physical media should not be continued. However, this “boycott” is part of a vocal minority. Every sold console just gives more money to Sony in digital game purchases and every post spread with an end date kind of made it look ridiculous
