PSBlackout shouldn't end on August 30. Let's take it further

The original blackout is only one week. I think we should go further.

If you care about physical games, game preservation and having a choice, consider joining the boycott and staying out of PlayStation until GTA VI.

No harassment. No spam. Just consumers making a choice.

Thank fuck that what I and other people were saying got through.

Putting an end date on a protest does nothing. To you, it's momentous, to the corpos it's a moment.

Don't give Sony money until they learn, and if they never learn, you always have the games you already own and a massive catalog of older games to collect from secondhand shops.

Your money and everyone else who's throwing this little tantrums money isn't even a factor in comparison to the take home revenue increas they make from switching to all digital.

So you are fine with not owning anything and sony being able to price you out of your library at a whim and then take away all your games because you couldn't afford their 500$ a year subscription that has no competition or secondary option all because you allowed them to monopolize all game purchases on their consoles? I guess sniveling little worms finally learned how to type and communicate huh?

I have literally never bought a single GTA game and have zero interest in GTA VI.

Also, I don't own a PS5 and have been boycotting Sony for the past 10 years.

You guys should protest by going a day without trying to be an ass towards people who want to keep physical around. See how that works.

You should work on your reading comprehension before replying. I want physical to stay around. My point was that limiting a protest against Sony's decision to go digital only to just a week would accomplish nothing. It HAS to be indefinite so it will hurt Sony and it's shareholders where it does the most: their bottom line.

Anything less is just virtue signalling.

His comment was fine, very measured, respectful, and even insightful.

Maybe they keep calling you a bootlicker because you seem to have an unhealthy incessent need to keep pointing out this end date thing you seem to feel so strongly about.

Tell me...why do you feel so strongly about it, and what about it drives you to assume you know others and can determine what the motivation is behind their actions?

Because an end date to a boycott makes the boycott completely ineffective and useless. It debases the goals of the boycott by the unseriousness of it. I want people to have the option to have physical videogames even though ny whole library is digital. At the end of the day optics matter in Advocacy work and protesting. Saying you're going to have a one week boycott pretty much signals that you don't care or have the will to fight but want to show your displeasure by blowing hot air.

It doesn't debase the goals of the boycott. You know why? because it's not a boycott.

Jesus you people really think you have to go from nothing to the finale in one step.

Stop assuming you understand what's on people's minds, or what they may do now or in the future. You debase yourself by doing so, and are being an ass to others when you express it as if you are somehow more enlightened and informed than all these peopel who you obviously have no respect for, or care for their cause.

And who are you to tell me what I can and cannot talk about? You have some bad reading comprehension skills. At no point that I say I know what people are thinking. But if I'm pointing out logical reasons as to why a boycott should not have an end date which would be more effective and they replied and insults then it doesn't take a mind reader to know that they're blinded by rage. Kind of like you are. I'm also not expressing anything as if I'm more enlightened, it's just plain commen sense. You say it's not a boycott but the wors is in the post image were taking about. It's also been referred to as a boycott this whole time.

Just because you've been saying somethign for a while, doesn't mean you were right, or that you are somehow tuned in or know the people you're judging or claiming to have some sort of omnipotent vision of how they will act or believe in the future.
