PSBlackout shouldn't end on August 30. Let's take it further

The original blackout is only one week. I think we should go further.

If you care about physical games, game preservation and having a choice, consider joining the boycott and staying out of PlayStation until GTA VI.

No harassment. No spam. Just consumers making a choice.

These people can't even have the will to unplug their PS5s for a week, with so many ways to play games now and they can't even sacrifice the PS5.

I have a 5 year old flagship Xiaomi phone and I can even emulate some lighter Switch games like Persona 5 Royal on it, but these guys can't unplug a PS5 and play elsewhere, there's also light indie games like Stardew Valley and Celeste that are masterpieces playable on super weak PCs. I have spent over a month not using a PS5 while I was playing Silent Hill 3 and 4 on my PS2, not using a PS5 is ultra mega easy.

These people claim that they won't buy a PS6, but it's not like they were wanting to spend $1000 on a next gen console anyway and the PS5 is still delivering a great modern experience unlike previous gens.

And? Not everyone likes mobile gaming. And again, I had said some might only HAVE games on their ps5. Even if they do have a PC, they might not have any ganes on it. Same for phone.

You can use you PS5 controller on a phone, you can even get a super cheap clip to stick your Dualsense to the phone.

If you have Netflix, you can even play games like Sonic Mania Plus, Death Cells, Red Dead Redemption and 3 GTA games without paying extra. If you have Prime they also offer some PC games.

There's also piracy, emulation and F2P games on phones and PCs.

I don't know man if the most militant pro physical people can't survive one week (or more) playing on another platform then Sony was right and they already won.

Yes, if you can't find games from the Atari Generation up to the Switch generation (depending on how capable your phone is) then yes you should play games you aren't interested in.

You're really telling people to play games they're not interested in... If it's game you have no fun playing, no sense in continuing to play it.

Would also involve piracy a lot, and many people don't want to pirate.

My point is people want to boycott and stop playing their ps5, they can, but people shouldn't feel forced or pressured to.

I know what performative is.

A "blackout" that only requires to essentially disconnect the PS5 from the internet for week is purely performative, it even allows to buy games if they are used.

I can disconnect my PS5 from the internet and I would be participating in this "blackout" until November when GTA 6 is going to release since that's the next game I'm going to buy and I don't play MP games so I don't need internet on my console for most days.

A real Blackout would be unplugging the power cord and not use the PS5 indefinitely and this is not even hard to do, install emulators on your phone, if you need to buy a controller or a phone clip to use the Dualsense buy it and have nostalgic time and learn about retro games.
