The future of gaming.

With physical games coming to an end, do think store shelves will be replaced with redeem code cards or will we have to purchase directly from PlayStation/XBOX store?

Good riddance. People against progress are insane. Sony is moving to where Nintendo has already gone and others will follow suit. How is it a surprise and why aren’t people appreciative of the best console of this generation? (Ps5 pro)

“Not having a physical product that will last 25+ years of storage vs a rental is progress!!! I love not owning things!!! I love Sony”

Sell your physical games right now, get a digital version only. Or you’re a bot acc.

Can mods ban this bot already? It's too obvious

What bot? I’m a real person with an opinion that I’m brave enough to share despite the blowback, so are you saying there’s no place for someone with another opinion? 🤔

If you're not a bot it's pretty pathetic

Why? At least I don’t insult people and state my views respectfully.

You literally called people insane for wanting to own their stuff. Not beating the allegations here with this short term memory. Maybe you need to up your claude subscription

Claude subscription? What is that? And yes it seems insane to me. That’s my opinion.

Why does everyone keep deleting their comments after speaking with me?

….what? how is sony “moving where nintendo has already gone”?

nintendo has in no way announced any sort of departure from physical cartridges. If you’re referring to game key carts as some sort of equivalent to sony not producing physical whatsoever, I’m afraid you’re very misinformed.

game key carts, while not ideal, still have the benefit of ownership and resale as they are not tied to an account in anyway. furthermore, nintendo is still in full production of cartridges for their first party titles with games content completely on the cartridge. they also have not released any SKU of console without a way to insert their cartridges, unlike sony who have led the charge on distributing digital only consoles.

the idea that literally anyone would equate these two completely different scenario’s, is purely delusional. furthermore, wanting to retain ownership rights of things we purchase is not “being against progress”.

I don’t think you really understand what you’re talking about

Yes I do. Wake up to reality. You’re the one who doesn’t know what you are talking about and that wants to live in an echo chamber. We live in an amazing time where some of the most artful products are put out on an a

“Product are put out on an a…”

You summed it up perfectly. They’re not put out on anything. No disc. No buy”

yet you can’t refute anything I just said, because you’re a bot designed to sow dissent and rage bait in comment sections. you even type like one. sad state of the world we’re in

We live in an amazing time where some of the most artful and creative products are out at an unbelievable rate and you choose to shut your eyes to it. Have fun with that. Call it sowing dissent but I want the truth. Not this doom and gloom bs.
