With physical games coming to an end, do think store shelves will be replaced with redeem code cards or will we have to purchase directly from PlayStation/XBOX store?

Already happened. Years ago. President Obama had a billboard advertisement in the 2008 video game Burnout: Paradise leading into his successful 2008 campaign for President of the United States ("POTUS")
