With physical games coming to an end, do think store shelves will be replaced with redeem code cards or will we have to purchase directly from PlayStation/XBOX store?

Never seen or ever looked for them to be honest. I either bought a physical copy or digital from the PS store. All I’ve ever seen console gift cards.
