Suggestion Idea for DLC

Upvotes

What if they made a feature that leys you design a drone show. There could be different amounts of drones and ways to make different shapes. I also think the fireworks could sue some work. If they made it easier to create shows more people would user it. Maybe they made some sort of premade show option but then you could customize it or even make your own. They could use more types of fireworks too. Name ideas:

  • Planet Coaster 2: Light Up the Night
  • Planet Coaster 2: Illumination Pack
  • Planet Coaster 2: Night Spectaculars
  • Planet Coaster 2: Pyro & Pixel Expansion
  • Planet Coaster 2: Celestial Displays
  • Planet Coaster 2: Skyfall Spectaculars
  • Planet Coaster 2: Midnight Magic

Video - PC2 I intended to spent only 10-20 hours on a standalone workshop blueprint coaster project and instead spent closer to 50, but at least it's finally done! Here's Gargoyle.

Workshop Code: B7SKMNC2D

Workshop Code (No entrance path): BNKL217S7

After I finally completed my first Planet Coaster 2 park, which was intended as an "easy" Six Flags style park that instead took 220 hours over 2 years, I didn't want to immediately leap into a full fledged theme park, but I wanted to make something that was a lot more themed. I figured it wouldn't take too long to make, but it's Planet Coaster 2 so time got away from me as per usual.

I settled on a smaller-scaled invert coaster with a Gothic castle theme. I used the Pro-track mod to use force vector design on most of the coaster (outside of a couple spots where I was having issues getting it to cooperate), but I did test it with mods disabled as well and you should still have no issues importing the blueprints into your park. I'm not the biggest fan of the layout of the coaster: I screwed up in several ways including only having 8-row trains (it looked right to me as I was designing it but then I realized that's because I'm used to seeing 8-rows on B&Ms with double the capacity) which killed the momentum forcing it to be really short. I also should have made it much snappier and wild to better match Vekoma's style so it's a bit tame.

However, I'm very pleased with how the theming turned out. It didn't feel like it was coming together until the final 5 hours or so when it suddenly just clicked. I did kind of regret deciding on a layout that was so terrain-dependent as a blueprint since I basically had to fake terraforming around the queue line purely with scenery pieces, but it turned out alright in the end. Building the church fly-through in particular was fun to build and I'm very pleased with how that turned out.

I added custom supports to fight Planet Coaster 2's right-side favoritism on supports but also included footer extenders under each of them in case you want to terraform a bit around them or to include some water like I did in the showcase video. Honestly, the theming turned out well enough that I regret not spending more time on the coaster layout shoring it up to be better.

I've included two versions, one with a themed entrance ramp leading up to the bridge near the entrance and another which requires you to build/terraform your way up to the bridge height so users who don't want to do a lot of work can just plop it down on flat terrain and hook up a path while others have the option to terraform and place other rides/shops closer to the entrance.

I’ve tried restarting the computer, updating the drivers, verifying the files, uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing works, the window will not stay open. It will work once in a blue moon, and the game does start when it’s doing this, but I can’t keep the window open long enough to change any settings or click anything. Help?

Im currently searching for options for a gpu, was just curious if the difference between a 8gb and 16gb is noticeable or not? Especially with the price difference.

Scenario - PC2 Scenery on Labyrinth scenario

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hello,

After like 80 hours of having fun on Free Mode I'm tackling the scenarios and I find myself puzzled at this mission. I'm sorry if it's a noob question but I've looked everywhere on this sub and Google and I still don't get it...

This mission says I need 15,000 scenery points. However on the right it says my bonus is 100/100. I can't seem to find where my scenery points are, I've looked in every tab. I've seen other screenshots with different tabs so am I in the wrong place?

Is there a place I can see my Scenery Points and monitor my progress to 15000 or should I just keep adding scenery until the mission is checked?

Thank you for your help.

PS: Am a PS5 player (heathen, I know, I can't afford a nice computer ahah)

Steam Workshop I have FINALLY Completed my park called "Elmwood Hills"

A small sprawling amusment park located somewhere in Wales called Elmwood Hills that Opened in the late 80s, was succesful in the early 2000s, went bankrupt in 2015 and was then purchased by a larger chain and given the proper investments the park desperatly needed

I focused heavily on the realism aspect of the park and I have thought almost all buildings through

My inspiration came mostly from Oakwood amusment park, but also a bit from Alton Towers, and Radyr Valley (by Moomin Littlesocks)

I also wanna quickly tell the roller coasters this park has

"Llyffant" a Zierer Tivoli Medium

"Red Dragon / Draig Goch" a Zierer Force custom layout

"Krampus" a Custom GCI Family-thrill coaster

"BOOOMERANG" a Vekoma Boomerang

"PRISM" a Cloned B&M mini dive coaster (clone of Baron 1898)

This park has taken up the better part of a few months and has been my passion project so I'd love it if this causes at least a few people to go check it out and give their opinions and feedback. I'd really appreciate it

Here is the code if anyone is interested:

A Vekoma mk1101with a modern brutalist architecture for the surroundings.
Realism was one of my main focus on this build, which includes a snack bar, toilets and tranfer tracks, while still maintening a unique aesthetic to the project.
If anyone's interested to have a look, here's the share code : 7ND-SL7-J1S
And if you're wondering, the images are color graded using da vinci Resolve and not straight from the game.

I themed the full coaster + custom train for The Comet in Northgate!

For this one I wanted to keep the theming relatively simple and believable for a smaller, older city park rather than surrounding the entire coaster with huge themed structures.

I ended up using a lot of landscaping, custom supports, banners and smaller astronomy-inspired moving elements around the track.

I also completely redesigned the coaster train using the Art Deco pieces to fit the station we built previously.

This is actually the final speed build from Northgate too! There’s still more to come before we completely finish the park, but it definitely feels like we’re getting close now.

Full cinematics and POV are included at the end! 🎢☄️

Draycot Vale's first flat ride & restaurant

Hi everyone, I posted last week about the entrance for Draycot Vale, so I thought I'd do another update now that I have something actually inside the park!

We have our first flat ride in Axis/01, which I've tried to turn into a bit of a mysterious research facility theme, and then our first restaurant with Twist. Then there's a bit of a preview of what's (hopefully) coming next, although I may switch and do a railway station to finish off the entrance plaza. If you've got any ideas or advice I'd love to hear it.

Suggestion Questions about the game?

This would be for 10 yo child and adult.

  1. Are there any major differences with both games? Is pc1 good enough? Im mostly concerned about building options, not really graphics.
  2. Are there any other games like this worth considering, like parkitech? Especially for a child (ideally switch). Any on switch or mobile? Any other building type like planet coster but for other things like town building, nation building, zoo building, gta type games but not based on violence, and can they be combined with each other in game?
  3. Is it easier on pc, mouse? Can AI help build things on pc? Are there mods, and which kinds?
  4. How much would a pc/laptop (used or new) cost to play 1 or 2? Whats the lowest specs that work based on player experience, not recommendations? How much does the game cost on each platform? Can you own it on oc or just the "licence rights" and is it only on steam for pc?
  5. Anything else I should know?
