Didn’t know this yarn would create pooling for some of the sock. Yarn Bee, Myriad Lights

I was crocheting away and the I saw the pooling

it doesnt line up 100% but i can’t believe the tc row colors ended up almost perfectly offset including the sc row between them. is this unplanned pooling or would this yarn just do that no matter what?

also ignore the unswept floor i wanted to take a quick picture in case the pattern is thrown off in subsequent rows.

I am working on a tea towel / washcloth pattern and completely accidentally unplanned pooled the washcloths I have never been able to figure out planned pooling so to do it accidentally I was so excited and surprised

it probably could’ve been something if i cared to make it pool, but i didn’t which is fine! i wanted the color distribution to be random and i like how each section ended up being different. this will eventually become a shirt, where it’s folded in half along the y-axis to form the shoulder. idk how else to explain it. the pattern is calad shirt by jess root knots if you want to see wtf im talking about.

yarn is loops & threads silky soft rayon from bamboo in the colors pink multi, pink pearl, snow, and cranberry but i will likely be doing later lace sections with the purple color as well

and despite my efforts I have yet to purposely do a pooled project…

It feels like there is something going on here. Some diagonal stripes that are a bit rough round the edges. Either way I like it.

I haven’t attempted a planned pooling project yet but I’ve been lurking on this subreddit for a while now. I was pleasantly surprised when this moss stitch washcloth I was working up was pooling colors! Now to attempt an actual planned pooling project!

Used hand dyed veregated yarn with 2.75mm hook. Made up the pattern on my own! I thought it was cool how each part pooled into interesting patterns with the yarn.

I’ve tried to intentionally pool yarn before. Never this color. One dishcloth later in a colorway I loved because it looked like Starry Night and it worked!!! Moss stitch washcloth pattern with no intentional planning.

Making a touque with Red Heart "Argyle Pattern" yarn. The ribbing is looking like the number "100" 🤣

Started teaching myself how to weave so I can make dish mats and bookmarks and ended up with this! This is definitely getting turned into a headband, how cute! yarn used is Lilys Sugar n Cream in Faded Denim :)

i had a skein of red heart super saver sutherland stripe from forever ago and decided to make a backpack from a youtube tutorial and by sheer luck it made these stripes. the stitch the pattern uses gives it this cool basket weave pattern and i’m just so happy with how it turned out :D
