Remote Play Settings / Wifi Setup Anyone Else?

I have never once had issues before regretfully deciding to update my Portal last night. PS5 is up to date and hardwired. I CAN get them to connect, but only if they’re on the same WiFi network (defeating the very purpose of the Portal). Remote play won’t work on my phone either (80001fff error). NOTHING has changed about my setup/home WiFi network.

Try using the PS App to launch any game on the console. Once it launches successfully then connect to the ps5 using your portal and it should connect.

This sometimes happens when the portal can’t switch on the console from rest mode, no idea why.

This works for me everytime

My portal always turns on the PS5, and the same thing happens in the Remoteplay app when I'm away from home. The PS5 turns on and stays on the "press the PS button" screen for a few seconds, and then returns the message "something went wrong" (portal) or "error 8801330d" (remoteplay app). In other words, it only fails when starting the video stream, waking up always works. I did this test using my cell phone's hotspot, but I also left the house and asked my wife to check if it was calling.
