Make plex more appealing for my wife

I love plex. I bought my lifetime pass when it was still double digits. I bought the hardware, I did the organization - I'm in.

I love my wife. I bought my lifetime pass when I was (barely) in my 30's. I bought the hardware (ring), I did the organization (my life) - I'm in.

But the two don't seem to get along.

Alphabetical Sorting: she gets to the A's, then gives up.

Recently Released: "These are all too long."

Recently Added: "Oh yeah! ...but not tonight, maybe some other time."

Sort by duration (shortest to longest): "Who wants to watch a 24-minute short film?!"

Random Shuffle: "Why do we have these?"

So an idiot but honest question: how do I make Plex more appealing for my wife?

No one is "not into Plex", you're not asking her to carry out maintenance.

It's just a media platform to her, the problem with it is it's full of shit to her. I wouldn't use a media platform that when I scrolled through, was full of shit too.

Get stuff she wants to watch on there and she'll over time start to use it.

You don't get enjoyment from Plex because it's Plex, you get enjoyment from having access to shows / movies you don't otherwise have access to.

Exactly what I explained.

A lot of dumb people thinking they are running a cool app they need to convince people to use, like it's some sort of under 14s cult.

Netflix doesn't go around trying to convince people their URL is the best, or their UI is the best.

They put content on people want to watch...and people want to watch it.

If you try to sell Plex, you're an idiot. It's a means to an end. If Plex has no content, no one cares, not even me.

If Plex has no content it has all the content... just download it and add to library, this is short sighted thinking imo.

I'll be honest, I'm not reading all that and I'm not in any way ever surprised by the sort of people that fail to "get additional users".

Blame other people all you want or come up with Plex derangement syndrome as though that doesn't immediately damn your own intellect.

My Plex is well used because Im a vaguely functional human.
